Your remastering work was amazing. It's funny because I never knew they are on YouTube or even cared for their older projects, but it must be different now that the series is celebrating the 20th Anniversary.

Speaking of which, they ARE doing a lot to remaster the series by 2012 already, so your first reason could be right.

you are truely the god of remastering, my hat is off to you man, I know what you mean about Sailor Moon not getting enough credit, been thinking that for years the creato Naoko even said she didn't want Sailor Moon fading into the ranks of forgotten anime when it really deserves so much then tha I mean although it wasn't the 1st magical girl series it was the one that really started the magical girl franchise made it big. Whenever I watch this episode it bothers me that Maker saved the day. Why get Mercury all revved/powered up like that if she's not going to do anything? *sigh*

I always thought that maybe in the beginning they were going to use the "power up" attack of the supers special in this scene.

I remember I read somewhere that they should have made all new attacks for the inner senshi in the stars season but actually they never made them. In the manga they all gain new powers/attacks.

I think she did the power-up to make a aqua shield for her against the heat of the Gamer Phage's attack. Just like she had done it with Shabon-Spray shield against the heat of the fireball of the DD Girls before in the 1st season =)

I did see the 20th anniversary DVD box website, but they're just priced-down re-issues that will be released in a box set instead of individual DVDs. I will be getting them as they come out via CDJapan, just as collectibles. The video itself hasn't been retouched.

It looked like she was going to use "Mercury Aqua Mirage." The mist around her is in the form of the cylinder shape that the water usually forms around her when she uses the attack.
