This building could have been saved if a fast attack was performed while getting som ventlation hole cut in the roof. Happy I don't have these guys covering my area where I live!!!!
@dpattiris you mean like a 2 1/2 piercing nozzle??? thats a great idea except all the groups like nfpa and the ones that i dont know would have a field day on that... there are very strict guidelines that you have to follow with ladder trucks... me personally though,,, id love to see it happen...but im just a retired old has been smoke eater who knows nothing about modern day firefighting...
Mansard roof with a conventional roof on top=at least two ceilings. GOOD call on the defensive attack, that kind of chopped up construction is bad news for firefighters, you have no idea what the hell is in there.
@ rmls34---i dont know all the details about this fire, but the building looked well enough to try iterior attack and primary search..but like i said i dont know all the facts..
Info on the right says they tried interior but were forced back. I'm sure there was some edit timewise but it looked like it was well on the way to self ventilating as shown. Glad they didn't try to put a vent team on the roof. Looks like a good call to me. From what I can see at any rate.
these people are non aggressive, in which the city and some of the LI vollies know how to get it done. we dont get pushed back. i never heard of a such deragatory term lol.
stfu. id like to see your department responding you prolly walk to it. our engines roll fast. just stop saying shit to people if u cant back it up btw, serbian sucks ass
I am an American Legion member in South Carolina that has been let go from my job after 16 yrs. I am a 45 yr. old white male & Navy veteran. I am looking for work in the following counties: Aiken, Edgefield, Greenwood, Lexington, Newberry & Saluda. I am a hard worker that doesn't believe in sitting on my rear collecting a check. If anyone can aid in my quest, I would be greatful. Either reply or call 864-554-0517 or 864-445-8545. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the confirmation. My Dad's from Hackensack and one of our cousin's is a retired Cheif in Woodbrige. I'm a volunteer in ct. and may try to get on the job up here.

marcelrotgans 7 months ago
