Awesome music, i also Re member those days of when music just reached out at you and no matter where you were, when you heard it you felt blessed to be in that day and time. No wonder His album along with many others cost a real pretty penny. Thanks to the one who put this up. Peace and more Love
@LoGoddess73 That's right. I remember Bentley's well. I spent a few New Year's Eve parties there. lol If you like this type of music check out my Thursday night shows. True classics in the mix.
men must have been so secure in their masculinity because those styles took many hours in the hair salons to achieve, All those jerry curls and texturizers.
Hold the MFing press .Lol I mould BLAST the radio so loud on this song my mom would yell at me to turn that music down. By the way I wasn't a good girl! LOL
My Uncle Jerry was his track coach back in the day,I've known him for a long time and he used to come by the house after practice and to this day still pays an occassional visit to my Uncle and the family. Love you Lillo
At a track and field invitational meet in high school I was in each of his heats. Waxed my ass everytime!!! Brotha had serious potential as a runner. Didn't know he had skills as a professional singer.
@madamecarroll ,hello madamcarroll,in a lot of cases producers "demo" the track to the artist as a model of the arrangement & wants the artist to do it exactly the way he performed it, I do think they sound alike, greetings from nashville!!
@m1northern - actually Paul Laurence produced this , not Kashif. And they sound similar becasue Lillo did most of the background vocals on Kashifs albums/cd's....
@kennedygrace9 ,thanks for the info,That was when music was oh so good!I was a big fan of Kashif back in the day,He had an instrumental on one of his albums called
"Call me Tonight" that is super funky,& Reggie Wooten who co-wrote & performed on the track lives here in Nashville & he's a cool cat,if you have not heard already, which it sounds like you may have ,check it out .peace 2 u
One of my favourite singers from that excellent era. Lillo, paul and kashif were made to work together and produced some truly outstanding Soul and Funk.
My mother and brother used to live across the hall from him before I was born. When I was about 10, we used to go visit his mother when she in walking distance from us.
Thanks for the memories used to love this song. Looking a song for years and I can't find it don't know who sings it but it would of been around 1980's. Fast song lyrics were I want to love you and I want you to love me right baby the hook was I'm ready i'm ready if your ready oh im ready can someone please help me love that song but can't find it.
@tomdor100 well there are still artist who make classic music like this like me ted b from the band urbyne and moonlight ora please dheck out our music and videos here.
I never thought i'd say it , but some music preaches violence now days..When this tune was out you could go out to a disco or wine bar with your girl, have a great time, and walk her home miles across town (no night buses then) .The possibility of being attacked by some drunken drugcrazed knife carrying 'human being?' was never on the agenda ...
I feel sorry for the kids of today, they have everything, all the material possesions we never had, BUT THEY HAVE NO FREEDOM !
@THEKTMMAN625 TheKTMMan, I so agree with that statement. You have to search far & wide to find a song that expresses sincerity and respect these days.
One of the best albums ever. Whenever you talk to Americans and mention this one....it's like they feel like they've a feeling they've ended up in the twilight zone. Now, come on....this is the real stuff.
This song was very good ! So was the album. But I remember a sensational song from this album that rocked the dance floor called "Who Do You Think You Are". Could you please post it ?
reminds me of Kashif
