  • I just purchased Lillo Thomas' new CD; "Come And Get It". This hit single is "What's Not To Love?" The CD is a winner. It's good that Lillo is back.

  • My Uncle Jerry was his track coach back in the day,I've known him for a long time and he used to come by the house after practice and to this day still pays an occassional visit to my Uncle and the family. Love you Lillo

  • High school days!

  • Good music!!!

  • whaht's up what That!! OOOHHHH!!! LOL!!!

  • Oh man this song brings me back to my college days and discos in the Student Union!

  • At a track and field invitational meet in high school I was in each of his heats. Waxed my ass everytime!!! Brotha had serious potential as a runner. Didn't know he had skills as a professional singer.

  • Alright now, this is still the jam!

  • Why do he and Kashif sound so much alike?

  • @madamecarroll He produced it!!

  • @m1northern LOL That makes a lot of sense! but I mean, even their voices sound alike! Don't you think?

  • @madamecarroll ,hello madamcarroll,in a lot of cases producers "demo" the track to the artist as a model of the arrangement & wants the artist to do it exactly the way he performed it, I do think they sound alike, greetings from nashville!!

  • @m1northern Thanks honey! Learned something new!

  • @m1northern - actually Paul Laurence produced this , not Kashif. And they sound similar becasue Lillo did most of the background vocals on Kashifs albums/cd's....

  • @kennedygrace9 ,thanks for the info,That was when music was oh so good!I was a big fan of Kashif back in the day,He had an instrumental on one of his albums called

"Call me Tonight" that is super funky,& Reggie Wooten who co-wrote & performed on the track lives here in Nashville & he's a cool cat,if you have not heard already, which it sounds like you may have ,check it out .peace 2 u

  • @madamecarroll - I always thought the same thing as well...

  • i can't find this anywhere to buy!!! this was my jam!

  • @lolasimplicity It's available on iTunes and Amazon.com :-)

  • You're a good girl...let's here it for all the few good girlz out there!

All the good girlz please stand up and be counted, the world is dieing to see you. H

Holla if you're there and show your face!!!

  • One of my favourite singers from that excellent era. Lillo, paul and kashif were made to work together and produced some truly outstanding Soul and Funk.

I miss those days something bad.

  • My mother and brother used to live across the hall from him before I was born. When I was about 10, we used to go visit his mother when she in walking distance from us.

  • This is pretty new to me. I remember him from High School track meets. The girls loved him then. Never heard him talk, didn't know he sang.

  • @renkarlis Wow! That's definitely not the character I picture for Mr. Thomas. lol Thanks for sharing that information.

  • Not bad on the eyes!

  • GREAT EDITING ON THE VIDEO! For a second I thought it was an actual video.

  • Great post!!!

    Thanks!!!!

  • Thanks for the memories used to love this song. Looking a song for years and I can't find it don't know who sings it but it would of been around 1980's. Fast song lyrics were I want to love you and I want you to love me right baby the hook was I'm ready i'm ready if your ready oh im ready can someone please help me love that song but can't find it.

  • Dedicated to all the "ladies".

  • This was one of the songs that started off my sophomore year in 1983! Whatever happened to him?

  • @Fbaise1 Class of 86!!!!!

  • Written & Produced by Kashif.

  • @eric2181965 Sorry wrong songwriter & producer: Written and Produced by Paul Laurence Jones III.

  • @eric2181965 Paul Laurence Jones III- also responsible for a TON of Freddie Jackson hits he is a great producer

  • The BLUE PRINT of "GROWN & SEXY"!!!!!!!!

    holla back

  • An absolute classic. The meaning is still here for all of us over 40!!!!!!.

  • @tomdor100 well there are still artist who make classic music like this like me ted b from the band urbyne and moonlight ora please dheck out our music and videos here.

  • @tomdor100 Hey you told our ages, you can't do that..lol it was the jam in the day.

  • @tomdor100 No bout, I was in high school. This is how NYC did it! Grown & Sexy.

  • @Bachirali You know it! I was there rockin' with it. :-)

  • I used to rock this on my radio show in college. It was always requested multiple times. Reminds me of a great time in life for sure.

  • I never thought i'd say it , but some music preaches violence now days..When this tune was out you could go out to a disco or wine bar with your girl, have a great time, and walk her home miles across town (no night buses then) .The possibility of being attacked by some drunken drugcrazed knife carrying 'human being?' was never on the agenda ...

I feel sorry for the kids of today, they have everything, all the material possesions we never had, BUT THEY HAVE NO FREEDOM !

  • Bought this on 12" and played the nuts off it,,,,,They cant write tunes like this anymore, especially ones that respect women .....

  • Hey, anyone have the song he made called lollipop lover, i cant find it anywhere.if you do please post it.

  • @THEKTMMAN625 TheKTMMan, I so agree with that statement. You have to search far & wide to find a song that expresses sincerity and respect these days.

  • One of the best albums ever. Whenever you talk to Americans and mention this one....it's like they feel like they've a feeling they've ended up in the twilight zone. Now, come on....this is the real stuff.

  • This was my song back in the day when i was 16 years old , Lilo Thomas was a great singer back in the day. He didnt get the recognition he deserved.

Thank for posting this song and thanks for the memories

  • luv this song 80's all day all night

  • I loved this album, now It's impossible to find! Thank you for posting and letting me know I am not the only Lilo fan! Why wasn't he bigger???

  • I have this album

  • I got this one on vinyl....and it'll take a cannon to make me reach this one out to whoever's perpretrating to have it.

  • I grew up loving this song... it was vital trust me.. Thank you Lilo!

  • This song was very good ! So was the album. But I remember a sensational song from this album that rocked the dance floor called "Who Do You Think You Are". Could you please post it ?

  • I will try and see if I can post it. It depends on any copyright infringements. Thanks for the suggestion.
