  • @rkbauer72 crucial and seems to last forever. Anyways, it’s not like I’m against freedom of liberty or things like that because in truth I do support such freedom-based ideology myself all my whole life. In my personal opinion, it’s about staying in the limits/moderation, respect for others, veracity and truth, and the aftermaths resulting in a boundless liberty.

I'm clueless as to why this front page of video can't be viewed. What happened to it? Did somebody make it inaccessible or something?

  • @nivique DITTO.....you are such a breath of fresh air to Thai YouTubers everywhere! I am sure that they will agree with me. English is the big obstacle for Thais to try to respond and convince the so called, "human rights defenders". As you have just demonstrated, it took such lengthy words and such articulation to spill out all the frustrations that are accumulated inside of most Thais. You are my HERO!

  • @tipayam

    Hello :)

I want to thank you so much for your kind words. In truth, you are the first person to say things like this and I truly appreciate it. Honestly, I feel so much like my voice has been reached and this is just a good encouragement. At times before, I got somewhat fed up when some people were trying to mislead and to make spread their defiance, delusion, and deception. One thing I can be assured of is that our protection for His Majesty is not done in vain.

  • @tipayam And I couldn't agree more with you on a language barrier being an issue; it still is a huge deal when it comes to polar opposite perspectives. Indeed, we don't need to speak or use perfect English because we aren't the natives but trying to express what we feel is always better than just watching and not doing anything, especially at a time like this when insolence and ignorance are increasingly upstaged due to an oversight of the authorities. It's quite difficult and takes

  • @tipayam a great deal of efforts to describe or explain things that some people might not understand. But be that as it may, we ought to at least show our love and respect for the King in all ways possible so as to let these people know that we do not welcome the insults and slurs peddled by a load of ill-wishers.

Thanks again for your response :)

    All the best

  • @nivique You Wrote: "... we don't need to speak or use perfect English because we aren't the natives but trying to express what we feel is always better than just watching and not doing anything"

I completely agree with you. Shame on me! I am getting off my butt .... promise.

  • @tipayam

    HAHA alrighty ;)

  • @nivique There is no such thing is a "free speech", not completely anyway. It is an advertisiment for American to feel proud of their country, it's an illusion. There are mechanisms set up to make sure you pay for your speech. Even though there is no such law written, but in a capitalist society, they hit you at the pocket book. If a tabloid prints a lie about a celebrity, paper can get sued for apology and monetary compensation. People can sue for defamation.

  • @tipayam Rightly so, despite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights being globally upheld, it still is under threat in every part of the world. Even a country like America, who has been promoting the spread of democracy and human rights since the Cold War, is also no exception. Still it's dubitable today as to whether the States really believes in human rights all the while the existence of racial discrimination, the US occupation of Iraq, a global dispatch of the Interpol police (in

  • @tipayam the name of world's security and peace) still remain at present. It does seem that the World Power is arrogating human rights exclusively to serve their personal interests and gain, not that of the world whatsoever. So, this clearly infers that the one who has declared to be a protector of human rights is actually a violator themselves. However, it couldn't be truer for Americans who are trigger-happy when it comes to suing and a boycott. Just nearly everything can be sued:

  • @tipayam take the McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit for example. I don't know if that should be considered a good boon derived from human rights but it's like suing often happens on a daily basis in the States. But be that as it may, Thailand, as a whole, has a long way to go in terms of law enforcement and democracy. Here, the law is just an ink on a piece of paper; unfortunately we see all kinds of law-breakers anywhere we go. All circles of society or even the ecclesiastical community

  • @tipayam are subject to corruption and bribery. It sure is shameful and disgraceful to know this stuff but truth be told.

  • @nivique Talk show hosts can get fired for saying offensive things about certain group of people. How? Consumers can call in to the sponsors of the show threaten to boycot the products. White supremacist groups were sued until they went bankrupt.

Nivi, this is where you, me and all Thais can do. Hit them at the pocket book. What we have done were waiting for some body to enforece the law. And you know that in Thailand, some laws you need "poo yai" to tell you to enforce.

  • @tipayam You are right about the way law enforcement works in Thailand. And I think it's pretty dumb to enforce the law by an order, this is so duty-shirking.

  • @nivique Guess who is the government right now. We can stop enforcing the criminal side of the law, and create way to facilitate operation on the civil side. Everyone will praise that Thailand finally has "free speech", even though it is the same sh#t.

  • @tipayam Education, morals, altruism, integrity, unity and whatnot are the solutions to all the problems. The solutions are right there but the thing is though, will most Thais be disposed to take part in it? Because this is kind of like 'easier said than done'. The biggest problem is that the majority are being manipulated. But the main reason that this can't be helped is because these people choose to support the bad guys but not in the other way around.

  • @tipayam Try to put our situation in the international context, if this happens in the countries where true democracy is applied in the spirit, I bet a bunch of money-grubbers and megalomaniacs will most likely never get a second chance, they DIE! But like I said, it takes a great deal of time for our country to achieve the point where we truly want to be.

  • @nivique For the people that truely want to know why the Thais are very protective of HM, I would like to suggest the following 4 clips of video: (about 7 min. each)

Go to channel "namelesslyincognito", and the first title is "King Bhumibol, Great King of Thailand 1/4"

The images are not that sharp, but the narration is very informative.

  • @tipayam The documentary is very well-done and pretty revealing. It’s a good brief introduction to His Majesty’s life and work, especially for those who are unfamiliar with the King.

  • @rkbauer72 And a lot of times it’s not even with the maybes because they downright believe in whatever they have been told without taking it into their consideration or their own analysis. Let me explain this when people say things to you, consider the source and think about who these people are. It’s very obvious when a person is giving a real critic on something and they are being genuine about their opinion, and a person on the other hand who is totally trying to demolish you.

  • @rkbauer72 has no space for the royal constitution, they are often seen as openly anti-monarchy. Neither do they admire or respect the royal house, nor want this sort of constitution to remain, and as a result, they ideologically believe as such is of no use and should be completely abolished (even if the royals help and work for the citizens). One thing is though, loads of these commies are working for Thaksin. It is kind of a win-win situation at this point: Thaksin apparently has

  • @nivique Just to make things clear, I am not red shirt. but my question to you...are you employed by the dsa??? just wondering if the internet police are lurking around these websites. ทรงพระเจริญ

  • @breesana dsa, sorry? I don't know what you're referring to or getting at exactly. But if I decipher that correctly, you're asking if I'm employed by some sort of a police organization?? Well, what makes you think that? Just out of my curiosity since it sounds a lot like I'm on a duty or getting hired for making an argument. To be truly honest, I am loathe to do things against my will to begin with and to me that's just silly and hideous. But if you allow me to be a bit more specific

  • @nivique I think what @breesana meant was DSI (Dept. of Special Investigation). It's a Thai version of the FBI. But I think the people who are doing this kind of stuff (blocking Websites etc.) is NECTEC (National Electronics and Computer TEchnology Center), under the Ministry of Science & Technologies. Well, where do I sign up?

  • @tipayam That's more or less what I thought. Well then it appears that the DSI is directly under the Ministry of Justice and I obviously have nothing to do with them. But, isn't it the ICT who controls access to internet content? Anyways, I really think these people should quit and let us do their job :P what a bunch of lazybones!

  • @breesana about my occupation, I'm professionally self-employed so I am not in a position where you expect me to be. I'm just one of the ordinary citizens who feel the need to prevent deception and growing conspiracy which can be harmful to our community and the royal constitution itself, only being honest about it. And as for your last question, I absolutely have no answer to that. But if the policemen are actually around, why a bunch of insolent videos are still there? The thing is

  • @breesana the lese majeste law as a whole is weakly enforced. There are a lot of its law-breakers that have never been brought to trial, while too too too few getting arrested because they got caught in the act but soon later they were pardoned. So people that are constantly whining about the 112 section should stop using the liberty in a context where they are crossing the line. I know deep down they're trying hardest to detect errors about everything associated with His Majesty, but

  • @breesana could only come up with this law under which a typical unlimited freedom of speech or expression cannot be enjoyed, so let alone the concrete justifications.

I'm aware that you're not a red shirt, no worries. But even if you were, I would in no way hold it against you.

  • "It is a capital mistake to theorise before you have all the evidence. It biases the judgement."

    Sherlock Holmes

If we live our lives like Sherlock Holmes', our world would have much less conflicts.

  • @RKBauer Civilization is a norm set by a certain group of people, not the entire universe. So you simply justify things based on your criteria and your own mindset which is narrow. Everyone is different. Every country is different. Even every planet or element is different. Do not think you're always right about everything because you are not.

  • Just so you know, I’m not saying all this to tell you, mdab, OK. I’m just voicing what I know and want to share my opinion and information pertaining to King Rama IX to those who hardly know about His Majesty.

  • the insults and blasphemies. I understand not everyone is for the King and the King is not for everyone and that is a universal truth. But if they disrespect and insult our King, I’ll be one of the protectors to defend His Majesty, period.

  • against the King are just a piece of crap and lies, I never ever take it seriously but I do get upset every now and then. These authors apparently know nothing about the King. They don’t see through a particular individual but are told by some people who don’t appreciate our King and want Him to fall. The reality is even the Buddha is also verbally abused by some people (though the Lord was perfect and always will be in all respects) I do not think the King himself can actually get away with all

  • and some worship communism and Thaksinocracy would offend the King no matter how good His Majesty is. They, mainly Thaksin-followers, claim they follow democracy but they apparently rip it apart. The way of their protest is in truth tyranny in the name of democracy. So do not let these people fool you or else you will be used as their tool. All I can say is, if someone’s never lived here for at least 20 years, you have no knowledge and no appreciation for the King. Books that have been written

  • or led astrayed for whatever the case might be. And if a person come and accuse me of having gullibility or blind faith, they apparently insult my sanity and intelligence. As the matter of fact, I am logical and I perfectly do KNOW who and what I should love and give respect to. We love the King because we've seen and witnessed with our very eyes that His Majesty is compassionate and considerate to everyone even those who hold against Him. Some don’t live here long enough to know and appreciate

  • disrespectfully and disregard others’ feeling. Most don’t even try to understand or accept things that considered “different”. They have no clue as to why the King is so much loved and venerated. You know, we don’t see the King in the form of god or deity –absolutely not since we are living in a scientific world. But what we see in the King is a righteous, dhammic, and a well-wisher of this country. Now that is not a blind love obviously. At least I am educated and sane enough to not be misled

  • He wants to be near His people and will always be there for them. Some people always get offended when they see a person is so loved and revered and praised by many. I know how psychology works, that is human nature. They get envious and would act like the “so what” behavior because they think that the King has never done anything to benefit them. It’s formed by ignorance, incomprehension, and the lack of appreciation that make a person think and behave this way. So they begin to say things

  • insult Him with no reason? What has the King done to these people? I kind of fail to understand that. Seriously, why would His Majesty do things for this country every single day for 65 years, hence exhausted, worried, and tensed while He could indulge His life with enjoyment? Why not traveling around the world? His Majesty never did that for His own sake. As far as I know, The King during His reign if not on a duty never went out of Thailand, never. His Majesty stays here all the time because

  • I do think it will definitely get worse. Freedom of speech/expression/press in the name of malicious venom and false accusation is actually a useful tool for those people who want to disgrace the King. The sad thing is that His Majesty can do nothing about this to protect Himself because He is kind enough. That is why we Thais support the lese majeste law and fight against those who wish ill our King in this virtual world. His Majesty is such a great personage but why would people want to

  • incorrectly when addressing to Him and tells them to speak common language. Well, the King is such a great and splendid person but some people keep attacking His Majesty verbally. They never criticize in a constructive way but disrespect. I mean, even a common man is protected under the law when it comes to false accusation and malicious mischief and what about the King? Aren’ the King should be protected, too? I just cannot imagine what will happen if lese majeste law is no longer in force but

  • a down-to-earth person. He isn’t vainglorious like some snobs who consider themselves wealthy and superior than the others. The King in His younger days, when visiting the citizens in the rural areas, has most of the time bended down so near to those poor people and even let them touch and grab Him; in His Majesty’s mind, there is no space or gap between the King and His people. The King doesn’t mind at all if people struggle at speaking to Him in royal language or use the terms of reverence

  • Please do not outright judge what you don’t truly know. Anytime people start to offend and/or wrongly accuse the King, I do feel offended more than they do it to me because the King is way too kind. A Caucasian person once questioned when he saw a picture of the King sitting on a dirty ground while speaking with one of the officials who sits close to Him, asking how an official could get that close to the King and why was the King sitting on a dirty ground. All this is because His Majesty is

  • mislead this fact because they (Thaksin followers and the communists) want to overthrow the Monarchy for the sake of self-interest and money (long story). They formed an underground movement just to defame and falsely accuse our King and the Thai royal house. They try to distort facts and spread hatred among the Thais. I hope the outsiders who don’t know our King very well including what His Majesty has done for Thailand to be a part of this conspiracy as they will be used as a tool.

  • still doing till this day thinking of ways to cope with problematic domestic affairs even though His health isn’t so well. Genuine, authentic and has always been like this. The King thinks of Thailand’s betterment, always. Although His Majesty is the King but He leads a very royal simple life. He is a prime example of life-sufficiency observer/practitioner so it’s not like His Majesty teaches people but doesn’t do it. I just want to state this because a certain group of people is trying to

  • will not remain the highest forever. Therefore, the concept of "life-sufficiency" was introduced by His Majesty. According to what the King has done, I do have complete faith in Him but never in the Thai governments. These politicians always wanted people to be as dumb as possible so that they could do things in terms of corruption. Never done for this country but for themselves, family, relatives, and companions. But His Majesty has been working for Thailand and citizens for 65 years now and is

  • those areas in the countryside. The King showed the light and led them to the right path of life-sufficiency. His Majesty applied the Buddhist law of moderation to this life-sufficiency concept as He once went forth as a monk with the understanding; everything is subject to decay. A materialistic world is nothing but ecstasy in ignorance. Wealth and life don’t last forever. High economy and money aren’t everything. It’s like a saying complexity leads to simplicity: everything at its highest peak

  • to make a proper living His Majesty accordingly went and taught them what could be done to benefit themselves in the most beneficial and effective way (for instance multi-storeyed cropping, etc). No matter how far the distance or how difficult the area was to access, the King went. The King considered these people needed help the most because they were poor and uneducated thus they’re less self-reliant than the middle class and upper scale people. That's why His Majesty went to help and develop

  • Apology accepted.

First of all, King Bhumibol has been working throughout His life for this country, Thailand. This is already so much the King has done for us, Thais. The King does everything for this country wholeheartedly and enthusiastically for over decades. He benefits poor and needy people due to the fact that this group of people is living in poverty and cannot afford to receive an education, hence making a living is very hard for them to bear. The poor didn’t have the proper knowledge

  • ทรงพระเจริญ

  • we thai people do forgiving you.......i have been to The US once and my friends kept offensed me with their point of views.......I as the poor english speaker at that time just could tell them that the kings of Thailand have no dictatorship but i didn't tell them that.... besides the king is the one who gave us freedom and emancipated thai people to be equal since he know his people have been taken advantadges by duchies or who you call "politicians" now a day...

  • just another dictator that will get his day

  • @DarkFlaze Yeah, Thaksin will be rotting in hell pretty soon.

  • This isn't you fault at all. Many people in Thailand are phony. Make up your mind and think through before being rude or bullying. You should think about what he did for you and what he's done in his whole life-time. You are fucking around with the bad videos or any clips. I don't know why Thai people are fucking around doing the bad video.

  • @USAdude30 best left unsaid!! let it be!! he should have researched before starting it anyway!!

  • @holmneil Wow man! I swear.I don't even know how to respond to that. I simply don't understand your thinking.

  • @USAdude30 Of course we appreciate his apology. Why do you have to expect a thank you in return so much? I don't get it.

  • He is our beloved teacher and the true father of the land. Your way of ruling has destroyed most everything we love in Thailand. Democracy (your trash) has taken his rightful power and the politicians are crazy about their wrongful power. The world is going down because of Democracy and so the people who worship it. Our golden age will rise again after the people of the world have lesson from the disaster they have caused.

  • @rathasan who is it you're talking about??? Before accusing someone, show some evidence. Better than that, prove it that you're much better than him or even equal or even could do half of what he's done.

  • Comment removed

  • @VINCEBOND007 Do you guys ever say thank you? This man just humbled himself here big time and profusely apologized to you on a very personal level.A Thai person would never do this to a farang and you know it! I have big time respect for this man.

  • @USAdude30 You are a pro-Thaksin asshole so don't try to sound like an American dude badmouthing us (who feel completely grateful to the King) for not thanking him 'cause we do and appreciate it. But, I sense that you're one of those who either apotheosise Thaksin (money+self-interest+tyranny+law-breaking) or worship communism (no soul+dictatorship+selfishness), oh well these two are in the same group anyway lol

Just saying I can really smell that from you so don't even try to blend.

  • @nivique I am pro-US Constitution,Bill of rights and freedom from the tyranny of evil men.Taksin from my knowledge is a criminal but thank you so much for the kind word anyways.

  • @USAdude30 OK I get it. I'm sorry for my harsh words then. But anyway I do thank this guy for his apology and understanding our culture and our love and respect for our King. And please don't get us wrong.

  • @nivique No sweat forgiven:),I'm not sure what I stated that got you so riled up.Thailand and my country have been allies for almost ever, makes my heart happy you appreciate this guys apology to the Thai people. It's hard for us to understand is all, remember our history of so many fighting, bleeding and dying to free our selves from the tyrannical King of England which has nothing to do with your King.Does that make any sense?

  • @USAdude30 It definitely does. I know what you're talking about. And I am aware that the States has always been a good friend with Thailand for so so long especially during WWII.

  • @nivique Thank you for your understanding,I taught English in northern Thailand for a short while and I saw allot of positive things done for the poor Thai villages than was made happen because of your king, things such as running water and electricity, all King Gore did was over tax us and take 1/2 of what people worked for.thank you for remembering WW2.I'm heading out to excersize,I ate way to much at Christmas haha nice talking with ya bro.Good be on ya:)

  • @USAdude30 Oh that really came to my surprise. I didn't know that you were here as a teacher. And yes, His Majesty went to the northern of Thailand many times. That's why most of the locals love the King so much. And did you mean King George the Third? My knowledge of American history is somewhat rusty now so I might have mistaken.

Well, it's nice talking with you, too. Have a Merry Christmas! And I hope you have a great time here. Good luck :D

  • @nivique Yea it was in Isaan the Kalasin area, people were so respectful and kind to me,I mean what can I say.I wish American kids today were that attentive to learn new things.Merry Christmas to you as well.I think I burned off most of my Christmas dinner today at the fitness center here:O I ate toooo much.I'm not for what number King Gorge was I'm just happy we finally kick his ass.Isaan Thai love you King same as Bangkokers.I believe Thailand the US have been tight since King Rama# 5.

  • Stop being so fucking gay and stupid about it, dude! The fucking king or queen, from whatever country, is still a human being and is subject to criticism as with any of us. You don't get 15 yrs of hard time for insulting Obama, his father, George Washington, queen Elizabeth, Gandhi, or anyone else for that matter. Do you have any sympathy for the men & women who were imprisoned for voicing criticism of this billionaire king?

  • @StudentofSunTzu to put people in the prison is not in the power of the king. The law exists because the thais love their king and want to protect him. please see this VDO through to learn about him and what he has done for his people, and that's why we, thai pepole love him so much. We feel that we're the most luckiest people in the whole world to has him as our king who is a truely king. I'm not sure you'll be able to understand such love and respect.. Don't believe everything you're lead.

  • @blumchen002 There are so many measures the king could have taken to eradicate that stupid law. He is above the law, remember? I guess people like you (not too many, thank god) do not really grasp the concept of "All men are created EQUAL", a basic premise in modern civilization.

  • @StudentofSunTzu I can only offer you my sympathy. It seems " you don't get it, and probably will never understand it. " You seem to lost in this big world searching for something never truely exist.

  • @blumchen002 Yes, my friend, and not just me, but many before, along, and after us, in search of a more equality and justice in this world. We, including yourself, have came a long way, do you agree??? So it does exist. Yet there is still much more to do. I hope you join us.

  • @StudentofSunTzu Stop being a pussy, dude! First thing first, you should try to open up your eyes and your mind to the world around you. Every where has a different belief and culture. Nobody has to believe in the same thing as you do. Second, In your country and mine, there's a law protecting their people from being allegedly insulted. you moron

  • @modyufang Hey fool! There are also laws defending free speech, so there is no need to go into the technicalities. Laws, at its most usefulness, serve as protection to the weak and the few, those who challenge the status quo and seek the better of humanity. Sun Yat Sen, for example, was one of those who was challenging the Monarchy culture. The world has became more, far from perfect yet, equal because of those few. So let's protect those voices.

  • Who ever made this video is full of shit. This so call King just jailed an American Citizen for saying that the king does not smile. The comments were made in the US. Yes, the United State Of America. They years later, he travels to Thailand and gets jailed over there for making comments about the king in the US. This video was probably made by some stupid retard who got paid to make this so call Monark look good. In the US we have one thing to say to this Asswipe. FU** ***

  • @logicbeforematter I have always been a fan of the king, but my opinion is changing after some research about the death of his brother. If this man had translated the biography and posted it in Thailand, yes, it is a criminal offense. But I believe is trying to stretch it's arm of the law too far as he posted in America, where people don't have to speak in whispers when expressing their displeasure of their leaders. I will be very disappointed if the American Embassy lets this man rot in jail.

  • @breesana Words like swords, Thai people believe this. It can kill you and it can protect you. We love our King as same as you love your mum and dad. Would you feel angry if a stranger blame, insult and criticize them? Freedom and right to act are acceptable when they express with respect. I am not trying to argue here. I just want to express my and most of Thai feeling here. Different countries different cultures. Respect the difference.

  • @Lynnlalaful I was in no way insulting the King, only saying that my opinion of him has changed after doing some further research. My point of the reply was to say that I believe that the Thai government has no jurisdiction over a Thai crime committed in a land where that "crime" is seen as a personal freedom. I believe in respect just as much as you do. Saying that, I feel that the Thai government should also treat the laws of the U.S. with respect as well and release this man from prison.

  • @breesana What kind of research? Was it done by the leftists? I mean, do you really take that seriously? It's not even proven true. You know, I've studied this and read tons of books. Not a one-sided story whatsoever. One thing I've discovered is that a culprit might be an outsider. I've pondered about a pistol in King Ananda's left fist thing as well. Prince Adulyadej KNEW His Brother was a right-handed. So if HRH did it, a pistol should have been placed in the RIGHT, NOT the left.

  • @logicbeforematter OK, you're full of shit. You are so called "smart ass". Stupid moron. You don't know anything about this story and you dare making comment. The King doesn't have any power to jail someone. He's under the law. And in Thailand there's a law protecting him and everyone for being insulted, just like what your country has. you idiot

  • @modyufang You are right! The King can't possibly do anything about them. It's actually us citizens that get them into jail, not the King. His Majesty is such a kind-hearted King, always pardoned those ignorants that insulted Him.

Basically, everyone gets what they deserve. They are spreading malicious lies that have no foundation in fact and truth about someone be that an ordinary man or the king, they MUST BE responsible for their own words and actions. That is the rule of law!

  • King Bhumipol is an active practitioner of coprophagia. He also rapes babies. :)

  • @christlicker You're actually talking about your father who begot you, not the King. Your father is a pimp and your mother is a whore :D You father raped your mother and gave birth to you! lol

  • Has he ever mentioned anything about his .. maybe cousins of Cambodia? If he didnt ... why not? Is it a fear ? Why fear of Cambodia?

  • i love the king nowaday he has health problem about heart cuz he to help people in suburbs(very very country and no electricity) he went there many times then he got infect Mycoplasma . ิin the Treatment.there was Treatment. untill now his heath still bad TT^TT GOD BLESS MY KING with out KING i think thai people will never know a lot of technology and many things train, TV, electricity, schools, congreat road,

  • If you, who made fun of the King of Thailand, are really sorry about this,so, please remove all of your joke Videos too. It's really heart to see that!

  • this video is pathetic..and just shows that you are weak in your judgement. if you can't make a point in the first place...who wants to listen to you when you have something to say..sounds like you just had a change of heart or somebody applied some fear factor on you. if you can't stand for anything you will definately fall for anything..go and do some real research..

  • @letmypplebefree I think you are downright pathetic, not this man. A person who makes a mistake and then makes a sincere apology is never a pathetic but a good and sane person at heart, not a narrow-minded and judgmental like you. And I'm perfectly convinced that this video wasn't coming from "fear" but from open-mindedness of this particular person.

P.S. I do think you should study and do some "factual" and "truth-based" research :P

  • There are a lot of hypocrites on this page. People using Youtube to promote this disgusting law that blatantly violates human rights. A law that imprisons people for simply stating an opinion. You are free to defend it but you want to repress those against it.

Its sad and sinister to see so many ignorant and brainwashed people... people who cannot see that Lese Majeste is a tool for repression.

My thoughts lie with those BRAVE thais who have stood up to this law.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Here we go again. You are such a ridiculous person. Lese Majeste isn't a tool. The British Monarchy also has that section of the law. It is a people like you who misunderstand how democracy and freedom of speech work. Freedom of expression does not offer a protection for one to defame or abuse somebody verbally/physically but a protection for one who IS BEING abused.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 And you are in truth using freedom of speech as a tool, a malevolent and mean speech in the name of liberty! Have you ever heard of a man that sent a malicious and threatening poem to President Obama and has sentenced for 3 years in prison. Check that out, this happened in the United States of America, the land of freedom!

  • I'm lao, but i would like to venture my opinion in this matters, because my wife is lao ethnic, esan. If u r Siam, or Thai then it is okay. If u r not, then most of the doors of opportunities r closed. When a thai person who loves, reveres, & respects their king, but it doen't mean, or justified the wrong doing that has bee done. HRH, king should spear headed programs that promote, accept, & encourage equality to all thai's diverse ehtnics thru education!! thanx 4 posting

  • To all of those who find this to be a problem, we Thais have an amazing amount of respect for our king.

Everyone from the richest to the poorest has benefited in some way from the king's charitable actions. He is not just our king, he is our idol.

Why people criticize him when they don't live in our country is beyond us Thais. We have a deep respect for our king and he truly deserves to be respected that way.

None of you have any idea how much the royal family has done for our country.

  • @winnsunnysmiles

What is beyond me is why so many Thai's are ignorant to the idea of FREEDOM OF SPEECH

    Frankly you seem brainwashed.

I challenge you to answer the following question; is the king human? if the answer is yes then why should people go to prison for simply stating a view about him?

You DO NOT understand what democratic freedom means. If you did, you would not support this REPRESSIVE law.

It can be used by ANYONE against ANYONE and that makes it dangerous.
