Sorry New York but Chicago is the greatest city in the world and i've been to NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, LA, Miami but Chicago surpasses all with it's combination of architectural and natural beauty!

@italobambino43 If you're talking about natural organic beauty then Miami takes the cakes but Chicago in my opinion is the most beautiful city in America as far as architecture. It's not as crowded as NYC's skyline and San Francisco and Seattle aren't as modern. San Francisco in terms of natural and architectural beauty definitely rivals Chicago but Chicago has a coastline and a riverview. Plus Chicago has the tallest skyline in the world overall!

I agree, Chicago is breath taking many modern structures in Chicago, spread out, the Chicago river and the lake are dramatic to. I love a city that has wide streets and spaces. I live in Philadelphia way more compact, they are planning the construction of yet two more buildings, one that will surpass Mr Trumps tower. Yet, I have always enjoyed the streets of down town Philadelphia. I like sunshine on the street scape. Modern looks don't guarantee aesthetics or functionality.

I find beauty in all cities. Chicago just seems to always be in this constant race with New York! It tires after a while. Bigger sky lines don't impress, what's going on at the street level that attracts. How a building effect the environment around it. In Chicago and other big cities some architectural designs gave little thought to the surrounding area or the people that have to look at the building every day. I prefer New York, it is romantic and it epitomizes the Art Deco era.

The New York skyline isn't as tall as Chicago's it's just more massive and NYC isn't as "lush and green" as Chicago and it doesn't get that cool windy breeze. It's just bigger, dirtier and older.lol.We are young, fresh and new. NYC doesn't have room to grow. Chicago has the most diverse economy in the USA. @67tr876 the sears towers roof is going to be taller than the freedom towers roof. the antenna on top of the freedom tower is going to make it taller than the sears tower by 53 feet. so really the sears tower is going to be taller.

( im talking about chicago spire)--it has already gone into cunstruction, for about 8 months now, its going to be the 1st tallest in north/south America, and second tallest in the world, 4th tallest if they built the other burji dubia tower and if they build the russia tower which may i remind u is only 5 feet bigger, but thoose to r still awaiting the aproval. and for the trump it will probly be 3rd tallest in chicago, rest of the world it would probly fit under 12th.
