It was not the way you think but an interests exchange between Russia and West. That is.Russia gets something in return for accepting Western interests somewhere else(wherever it is). That's they way things go. Russia doesn't have a strong industry infrastructure and relies mainly on oil/gas exports while others export technology products. I agree with the Kurd comment. I do not see that Yugoslavia breaking into republics is a problem at all. I can not see how having a dictator supported by the West wold have changed the attitude of the people that did not want a Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia can only exist by force. This was attempted in the 90s and it failed.
The word Mosty will have to be changed to Tottally. By mid 1992 there were only 400 Croats left on the entire territory of the RSK. Compare this to the Serbs that lived under Zagreb control during the war and still live in Croatia today.
Given that JNA was doing the ethnic cleaning of Croats from RSK it can not be seen as an act preserving integrity.

I can not see how an unelected government in Belgrade has the authority to preserve integrity of a federation in which 4 out of 6 republics vote for independence. Lets look at the population as a whole. Serbs and Montenegrians comprises less then 40% of the population of Yugoslavia. So 40% of the population tried to impose by force a Yugoslavia that was rejected by 60% of the population.
How you can say that?? Because they left JNA! ofc there was 95% controled by Serbs, cos Croats(Catholic Serbs) leave JNA and police, and they was like terrorist organization, but West didnt mentioned that to you blind observer!

However, the numbers are less relevant, the point is that by 1992 the Croats went through what the Serbs went though in 1995.
Given that by 1992 all Croatians were forcefully expelled from from RSK, 10,000 Croatians had been killed and Zagreb was looking after 500,000 refuges the FLEEING of Serbs from Croatia does not appear too surprising.

If she knew her history, she should have mentioned why NATO was attacking Serbia. Russia has gotten its own interests in Abkhazia and South Ossetia without confronting the West, so it won't get involved in the Balkans.Maybe there was a deal. In a military conflict ,Russia will lose its entire air force in a few hours so it will avoid any such conflict even in the past. Putin withdrew Russian troops from Kosovo anyway. He is a very reasonable leader.

That's they way things go. Russia doesn't have a strong industry infrastructure and relies mainly on oil/gas exports while others export technology products. A terrorist my dear is someone like the Serb Arkan who killed so many Bozinaks and Croats in Bosnia and would have done more killing in Kosovo. NATO prevented slaughter and allowed a seperate democratic Kosovo ruled by the majorty.

I agree with the Kurd comment. I do not see that Yugoslavia breaking into republics is a problem at all. I can not see how having a dictator supported by the West wold have changed the attitude of the people that did not want a Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia can only exist by force. This was attempted in the 90s and it failed.

The word Mosty will have to be changed to Tottally. By mid 1992 there were only 400 Croats left on the entire territory of the RSK. Compare this to the Serbs that lived under Zagreb control during the war and still live in Croatia today.
Given that JNA was doing the ethnic cleaning of Croats from RSK it can not be seen as an act preserving integrity.
JNA was 95% controlled Serb.
Unelected Belgrade government has no authority to to stop the independence of the republics.

I can not see how an unelected government in Belgrade has the authority to preserve integrity of a federation in which 4 out of 6 republics vote for independence. Lets look at the population as a whole. Serbs and Montenegrians comprises less then 40% of the population of Yugoslavia. So 40% of the population tried to impose by force a Yugoslavia that was rejected by 60% of the population.

A portion of these were forcefully expelled while the other portion fled cities that were under Serb shelling. Let me give you a list of some such cities; Zupanja, Vinkovci, Osijek, Vukovar, Svalonki Brod, Karlovac, Zadar, Sibenik, Dubrovnik ... and of course all villages surrounding the areas. However, the numbers are less relevant, the point is that by 1992 the Croats went through what the Serbs went though in 1995.

Given that by 1992 all Croatians were forcefully expelled from from RSK, 10,000 Croatians had been killed and Zagreb was looking after 500,000 refuges the FLEEING of Serbs from Croatia does not appear too surprising.
