  • I make guitarists in my recording studio change guitar strings every six hours. That's approximately how much time it takes for new strings to lose their sheen.

  • The old strings with distortion wasn't hugely different, compared to the new. Although that's my thought through computer speakers.

  • I find that than older strings are than highest strings are wobling notes and not holding on tuning too.

  • nice video!

  • useful video as usual

  • Interesting!! How old was your old strings?

  • @lagiator the strings were a few months before I changed them, but I also changed brand from Elixir to D'Addarrio, but same gauge. I also changed the battery just in case, even tho I had not used the 3000 hours that EMG's promise for their pickups with the same battery. I just checked with a multimeter and old the battery was still outputting the same 9 volts (well, 9.03, but anyway).

  • Awesome video.I have always wanted to hear sound comparisons.I didn't really notice a difference that much on the distorted guitars though.

  • @brenderwatts It's easier to hear it in single notes on distorted guitars, which I naturally didn't play in the clip and since I snapped the old strings, I couldn't re-do it.

  • God old bass strings sound like shit

  • HAHAHA, trolololo!

  • trololo<3
