  • this has got to be one of my favorite performances of this song

  • That was back when Being a dead keyboard player was bad luck.Saw them in the 80's man! THEY CAN PLAY ALL NIGHT!!! Love them.

  • As a veteran deadhead from waaaaay back....this is the Grateful Dead.

  • Don't wanna be treated this old way!

  • & that's all I'm doing....travel & looking for a brother & sister here & there to help out this silly thing called.....(bydeffinition).......LIFE.............AMEN

    I MISS JERRY

  • Another great show in Hampton. So many memories of those days and those east coast shows

  • Is there any other band in history that literally has hundreds of versions of any song, and regardless of your favorite version, you can be surprised and thrilled to find a new one? I'm sorry to say I haven't found that band, but hope others in the future will appear.

  • thanks for these uploads, what a loosely tight band, and they were great on this tour. I'm sick in bed, but GDTRFB and Miracle made my day!

  • Love the dead

  • As great as this second-night was ( alot of it having to do with the " Ballad of a Thin Man " bust-out ), having been to the first two nights of this Hampton run, 20 some years later, I still think the first night was a better show.

By far, the best China > Rider I ever saw, and maybe the best they played in the last 10 years.

    Either way, GREAT Hampton run. (~);}

  • No matter how tuff times get, whatever the weather, the right tracks will still bring a smile, every time, guaranteed.

It's been over 15 years, but it's all still right here - & in our shared memories.

Don't want to be blasphemous or anything, but "wherever 2 or 3 are gathered together in their names," they are there in our midst.

They'll all still be with us for as long as we can keep the memories alive, within & without.

Best wishes to all for a good year, & better times to come.

  • @smartalek1 preach it. Music is a good good thing for a bad bad day.

    You get it!

  • i can taste the cocaine in this version

  • Goin" down the road feeling bad was exactly what the grateful dead were all about all wrapped up in 1 song. Back in the day hearing this at the end of a second set knowing right after the show we had to drive 3 or 400 miles to the next show,it made you feel that everything in grateful deadland was gonna be just fine, just fine! And the next night the lights woul go down and jerry would come out by his stack of speakers give you that half wave plug in ,light a smoke and the magic would start again

  • i really love the shows in the late 80's w/ brent...him and jerry would boot up a bunch of H and just go off!!! jery would forget half the words but man would he make up for it with the guitar!!!

  • Always picks me up. Great version of an old song - doing a speedy but clean rockin job.

  • Still Going. I-70/ I-44/I-40/I-15/I-Wish.

  • Hey Guys, it's soundin great, and we like having our Coliseum Full, but not 10 times over...The Town cannot handle it. Next year you better control ticket sales, maybe come in as The Warlocks in the middle of your Tour...Jerry, do you have Doug's Wolf Guitar?

How bout a DarK Star? Help Slip, Attics ??!? Death dont Have No Mercy?

  • Grateful Dead got the idea or deas for this song from Woody Guthrie. The song was "Blowing Down The Road".
