He is terrific talent... its a shame that he did not win this competition... That shws the "standards" pf the janta... This north-south rivalry... this regional bias... it definitely a shame.... He might not be the idol, but he is the winner by a huge margin!!

Indian idol has just got 2 true winners... Karunya and Sreeram.... rest are just ordinary singers and no one will remember them after 2 years!!

Its same at all the seasons that winner is unbelievable you can see that Prashant wasn't even close to Amit Paul, and its repeat at every season you can see that Indian Idol 1 was also not deserve for this title.

It's not just cuz he is from the south. Indian Idol is very territorial in voting like any tv shows which require the public to vote. People always vote for contestants who represent their region and if there isn't one who is representing their region, they will vote for someone who is representing a region close to their region. Unfortunately the southern area does not watch hindi shows, they have their own shows which is y artists from they don't get the backing they need to in hindi shows,

Personally I feel that voting for talent shows like saregamapa or indian idol should be left to qualified judges who will judge a contestant based on their skills not the region they represent. When the public gets involved, the judgement turns into a regional battle rather then a competition of talent.
