  • how much do you have to run

  • plz help me, i am trying to decide which branch to go into and i believe the coast guard might be the best choice, but i'm still having doubts...help plz?

    also....what does semper paratus mean?

  • @GenniferWeasley Semper Paratus - Always Prepared. Join the branch that suits you best. The Coast Guard was great but consider what skills you might obtain to take with you to the civilian world. There are many different jobs in the Coast Guard that can offer you civilian opportunities, but this is true for all the branches. Best of luck! Uniform-166

  • i just realized... i lived in cape may a never knew that the CG train there... kinda messed up O.o

  • In USCG, how much training do you get in weapons?

I wouldn't expect the training to be any easier than the army, but I'd rather be on the coast than on an army base in the middle of nowhere.

  • @MondoBeno During Basic you train on the Beretta 9mm. You'll train on other weapons if necessary at AIT or "A" school. Depends on the needs of your unit to which you are assigned.

  • @guitardc59 you actually now train on the Sig and Sauer P229. The Coast Guard no longer uses the Beretta 9mm.

  • @Goingpantless15 Right on. I didn't enjoy shooting the Beretta anyways, I've always found it to be a clunky frame. The Sig sounds much nicer from what I hear.

  • my next door neighbor was a coast guard di retired

  • MAN I REALLY DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT WHICH BRANCH IS THE HARDEST. I'VE BEEN IN THE MARINE CORPS FOR 6 YEARS AND I'VE BEEN A DRILL INSTRUCTOR FOR 1 YEAR AND ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS I AM GLAD TO SERVE IN COMBAT WITH A LOT OF BRAVE YOUNG MEN AND WEMEN FROM ALL THE BRANCHES. THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THE US MILITARY SGT RAMIREZ 0331...

  • My brother recently graduated from bootcamp and he is now on a coast guard cutter deployed to Africa. He's changed significantly, and for the better. I'm jealous he's out there having adventures, getting so sunburnt that he's a lobster, while I'm stuck here. Semper Paratus!

  • @AGRIF01 I think the Coast Guard had HS's there.Anyway, not a single Army soldier was even there. So you can sit the fuck down and learn about the military.

  • @AGRIF01 You cherry fuck. Just because you graduated basic and are now "hooah" doesn't mean you have to go around to other services and talk shit. Shut the fuck up from Vicenza Italy...you are making us look bad.

  • @AGRIF01 coast guard is battle ready...and i was a marine but i got medically discharged because i blew my knee IN AFGHANISTAN, i have family in the uscg and they are still serving our country to protect civilians so your gonna act all tough guy over the computer SEMPER FIDELIS AND! • At 3:53, that girl's hair cannot be regulation. Why would the USCG allow that to be shown?

  • @kh739 females are allowed to let their hair down when they hit the rack at night the must have just woke up in that scene

  • @kh739

Immediately following "incentive training", you have to jump up and stand at the position of attention. There is no time to straighten out hair - any movement will result in MORE incentive training. Her hair is completely within regulations (length-wise) and is only disheveled, which is expected.

  • what was the radio traffic at the beginning?

  • All I know is that when I went through US Navy basic training, The sun was never shining through our barracks windows when they came to wake us up at reville every morning(rarely after 0430). But that was 18 years ago. I hear the services are a little "kinder & understanding" now-a-days Must be Nice!!!

  • cool definitely looks like 2nd hardest bootcamp DEFINITELY not like the Marines but looks a hell of lot better than Navy Army Air Force cool vid

  • @theBrownman28 Definitely not the 2nd hardest boot camp, probably the 4th hardest.

  • @TeddyGrahamUSMC no it actually is the 2nd believe it or not i dont really care but watever Marines is still and always will be the best

  • good video

  • dame those beds look warm and cozy

  • can any one tell me how long the boot camp is ?

  • @JOHNVLS23 i think for the CG it's six weeks?

  • @JOHNVLS23 8 weeks

  • @JOHNVLS23 Its the longest 8 weeks of ur life. I would know, I'm a seaman in the Coast Guard. I graduated last November. Here is a great video that might help you get a good idea of what it's like. Your recruiter should show u a video that's called, "It's just 8 weeks." ESPN did a segment on CG basic training, It's called "A look inside the Coast Guard Academy" but it is boot camp. You should look it up

  • I had Garza and Vanover as my CC's.. Garza is halarious!

  • um uscarrillo... its night when you wake up depending on the season your in. I can't expect you to know that but w.e.

  • YOU GUYS ARE FAKE WHAT A JOKE THERES DAYLIGHT WHEN YOU GUYS WOKE UP

  • @usmcarrillo When I was in the Coast Guard we woke at 4:30 and there was some light out, it depends what season you are in.

  • @usmcarrillo yeah theres deff no daylight at 5:30 AM. thats when you wake up. just a different time of year in this vid.

  • @usmcarrillo your an idiot. in cape may it gets daylight at 0530 in the summer time. you would not know cause you have only been to sc or ca. learn the facts before you open your mouth jarhead.

  • really there yelling at a DI not in the marinecorp really they don't say sir wow that Bc looks easy lol jk jk i don't have to go threw that cause i already retired in usmc so im just looking up other bc

  • @zammer101 Really you already retired from USMC at age 22, with video game footage on your page??? Don't come in here disrespecting my brothers from the Coast Guard when you are only claiming to have been in the Marine Corps.

  • @fam8486 let him troll in peace

  • @fam8486 how can anybody retire from the military at age 22? im 26 and have a loong way to go

  • @jame679 join at age 17 serve for 4 years

  • @sfaldraga thanks. im already in tho

  • @jame679 If you're really in the military than you would know that you can have an honorable discharge at the age 21, 22, or even 23. A person can enlist with a TOE of 4 years and begin at 17 as long as they turn 18 in B.C and there parents sign off on it. So do the math.

  • @TeddyGrahamUSMC yeah theres a diff between retire and discharge

  • @jame679 Yea but you have to remember some people don't give a fuck about semantics.

  • did i really just see the SUN shining through the barack's windows when revelle came?! Wow

  • hahahhahahhahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhaahhahahah LOL FUCKING FUNNY

  • Oh hell yeah! I remember that! Quite similar to Army basic training.

  • LOL some guy screwed up his name in the Company that shared our hal.. He said it not that damn hard.. Its like a Van running you over, Vanover haha.

  • I had Vanover for my Company Commander. Good guy
