  • Great striker, just a shame he stopped trying after the huns told him to stop blessing himself.

  • classic number nine, great composure positioning and finishing

  • nice goal record for the club and till mr porrini ko his eye!!!!!!

  • cheers man..ma wee man is in nursery an to my horror he told me the other day he was smeltic when we were playin football..obviously i toooook the ball straight of im an told him he was neva allowed to play soccer eva again..an now me an broxibear r brainwashin him pure of his ignorance....nice vid if only we had any of those nw....tommy burns so does doyle..do da

  • great video he was amazing but that fucking tune man how the fuck can anyone listen to that repetitive shite

  • He wasnt any where near as good as his replacement. Michael Mols was the greatest striker Rangers ever had. Yes and I know Mcoist and Thornton and Stein scored more but Mols was special.

  • Dick advocat should have frozen his calf till better bless you Marco

  • @amazinbroxi

Advocaat should've binned the entire squad and built a new one around Negri

  • Depressing watching this, what with how things are now :((

  • The man was a Rangers goal machine i loved waching him play . Juat a pitty he went out to play squash with Parrini that day

  • Goalmachine !

  • @dyroy1 u r correct m8, i heard he was sleeping with amorusos wife but.

  • I reckon Celtic only bought Georgios Samaras because he looks like Negri and they're desperate for a striker as good as him.

  • E SEGNA SEMPRE LUI, E SEGNA SEMPRE LUI, SI CHIAMA MARCO NEGRI SI CHIAMA MARCO NEGRI...

Sempre FORZA GRIFO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great player, great mix!

  • He actually was given a game by Dick Advocat after a long spell of being frozen out and he almost scored with his first touch. I think if he had scored this goal he would have been Advocates best player.

  • Negri = Samaras + Jelavic

  • great finisher better than the tims king herik thats a fact NO SURRENDER SCUM 3 IN A ROW FUCKING EASY FTP

  • He didnt get it playing squish if you ever watch any of there old dvds around that time you will know that he had a fight with porrini and that caused tension between the squad

  • WTF is with the fucking shite music playing throughout? Would have been a crackin vid if it weren't for that

  • Thanks alot for uploading this, I was about 13 when Negri was on this scoring spree, I remember attending a few of the games at Ibrox and in particular the 5 goals against Dundee Utd.

For that season alone I consider him a Gers legend.

  • 2:20 hibs against drugs?? pffft! junkie cunts.

  • frightens me to think how many goals he couldve scored that season, would defo surpassed larssons record.

  • @tashpish go play fifa you dont have a clue he was good but never that good

  • @CelticFan1988 Go and get a job ya scab.

  • @tashpish i have one whats your beef doll baby

  • some player. from a celtic fan

  • AS YOU SCROLL DOWN THIS PAGE YOU MAY STRANGLEY GET IN THE MOOD FOR A BIGOTED PIE N BOVRIL.

  • God, he was awesome. I was a lot younger then and only knew him for the goals, but now I can appreciate the movement off the ball to give himself the extra yard and the quick looks to see where he could slot the ball. I'm not a Rangers fan, nor Celtic, but it's a damn shame we never got to see more of him.

  • HAHA NEGRI HATED THE HUNS ONCE HE FOUND OUT ABOUT THEIR ANTI CATHOLIC HISTORY...

  • did not know about this player as i was not a huge follower of football at the time (i was only 6) but as a celtic fan, i've got to say these goals are fantastic! almost larsson like! (as much as i hate to say!)

  • he was a class act

  • great video!

  • Marco Negri continued - 'The anti-Catholic feeling was venomous and the songs they sang that evening filled me with disgust. It was at that point I decided not to give my all for a club that condoned such behaviour. I went sick. Walter Smith knew the real reason for my 'illness' and he just ignored it. But I wasn't lying, I was sick, sick of Rangers and sick of what they stood for and that is the truth'

  • @j1mbow79 This was written by a Celtic fan and posted on message boards. I've seen even the most anti-Rangers bhoys laughing at it. Give it a rest, you're embarrassing yourself.

Interesting how Amoruso, Porrini and Gattuso had nothing bad to say about their treatment as RC players.

  • @Herzog1012 Apart from having to bless themselves on the pitch 3 hours before you lot got to the game so as to avoid you having to give your own players the artur boruc treatment.

Any truth to the rumour it was Amoruso that battered negri at a squash game - i.e. the injury he sustained in his eye was from a fist rather than a ball?

  • @Boabywankenobi Nobody "has to" bless himself on the pitch. I think God probably has better things to do than pick sides in a football match. I couldn't care less if any player, Rangers or otherwise, blessed himself on the pitch at Ibrox but nor do I think it's worth winding up those who do care just for the sake of a pre-match ritual, and clearly the Catholic players I mentioned who always speak of the club fondly felt the same.

  • @Herzog1012 Freedom of religious expression is a right guaranteed by international law. Artur Boruc, before EVERY game blessed hmself (it wasn't reserved for Ibrox!) - for any open minded people, let's remind ourselves of the Rangers fans reaction to this most basic of freedoms: type 'rangers fans show their true selves' into youtube, remember this is 2006!!!!!!!!!!- Herzog, you sound reasonable, but the club you support is a constant embarrassment and occasional disgrace to Scottish football !

  • @Boabywankenobi No, SOME of my club's supporters are a constant embarrassment and occasional disgrace to Scottish football, as are some of your own.

I never said freedom of religious expression wasn't a right, I said that a considerable number of Catholic Rangers players haven't felt their faith to have been supressed to any extent that sullied their opinion of the club or its supporters, about whom they speak with great fondness.

  • @Boabywankenobi And if the club itself, rather than a section of the supporters, is the cauldron of visceral and entrenched hatred for Catholics that chaps like yourself are so fond of claiming, as though it is still 1970, I would think the likes of Lorenzo Amoruso and Rino Gattuso would know more about that than your good self, and yet apparently not. Indeed Amoruso will remember being applauded off the pitch by adoring fans at his last game, not booed.

  • @Herzog1012 Funny that, read Amoruso's autobiography where he mentions how he was told he had to bless himself on the pitch 2 hours before the game incase any Rangers fans saw him. Admit it, the problem ISN'T shared. There's 1% of both clubs' fans who'll never let it go agreed - the problem is the extra 35% of your fans who seem reluctant to give it up as well that's the problem. Just ask UEFA, you're fined every other season for it!

  • @Herzog1012 : type "Rangers fans attack homeless man in Lisbon" into youtube......as said....you, your fans, your club "constant embarrassment, occasional disgrace!"

  • @Boabywankenobi I don't suppose I have to post the video here on youtube of your fans doing the exact same thing to another man in Lisbon? Or the latest video of your lads singing about Davie Cooper's death?

The difference between you and I is that I don't believe pathetically, blindly, against all the evidence to the contrary and with an appalling santimony, that my club's supporters are whiter than white. Grow up.

  • @Herzog1012 my point is this, the instances and frequency of such events are far, FAR greater with your fans than ours. UEFA recognise it - only the SFA (i.e. Rangers fans) doesn't. Also - can you please post a link on youtube to the Celtic fans throwing a homeless man in a fountain with 100's clapping and laughing along?! Also, when was this singing about Davie Coopers death? You need to lay off FollowFollow , your Neil Lennon is a racist chat is currently getting burst!

  • @Boabywankenobi Do you have any idea how pathetic and desperate the "but, but, but you do bad things more often than us" argument sounds? One of us doesn't deny the shameful episodes from our club's support, because to do so is idiotic and unhelpful. The other is you. Here are the videos. Enjoy.

    HTSmN6Xesa8

    hRbpuWHPDmE

Ps, I've never called Lennon a racist, nor am I member of Follow Follow. Would you like some more straws to clutch?

  • @Herzog1012 you dont make even half a point lol

  • @Herzog1012 manchester says it all about rangers fans look what we did in sevilla made them love us you made them hate and want to ban you and you did the same in holland lol an nation that just might like you stupid billy bum boys

  • The exact words of Marco Negri, speaking about his discust and disolusionment of the backward mentality shown by all at rangers.

M.N.- ' I was rapidly disillusioned by Rangers and especially their supporters. As part of my professional duties I was strongly encouraged to attend social functions which meant going to several Rangers supporters clubs. The last one I attended really brought home to me the fact that I had nothing in common with these people. '

  • Marco was a great player, just wish it had all turned out better than it did.

  • Have to say his finishing was bloody lethal.

  • Any validity in the Bruni Negri interview which was doing the rounds?

  • one of my all time fav players

  • I hope that Scottish does'nt hurt but their Premier League and their centres back are ridicolous and, in fact, most of Marco Negri's goals are simple. I repeat, i don't want offend anyone.

  • @neoandrea doesn't. I would say that the level of their tournament is really low.

  • @neoandrea So my Italian friend what do you have to say about the standard of football in New Zealand after they embarassed the mighty Italy in the World Cup? LOL !! And you say our Scottish standards are low !!! I live in New Zealand and I can tell you they are rubbish and they almost beat you !!

  • @cam62blue No my dear, Italy-New Zeland-1-1 so they didn't beat my national team. Anyway, Italy World Cup was horrible and I don't (and can't!) excuse. But it's a concrete fact the situation of Scottish Premier League:no one can compete with Rangers and Celtc (the only decente teams) in the domestic competition but, on the other hand, these two clubs doesn't win Champions or Europa League because they are lower than clubs from Spain, England, Italy, Germany, France and Portugal.I'm only sincere.

  • You know Samaras can try and look like Marco Negri all he likes, he'll never be anywhere near as good as the great man himself.. Not in his life, his next life, his dreams or on his Playstation! Negri is a walking how to manual on how it's done... and it was... done!

  • brilliant.

  • if he had played the whole season and we kept gascoigne it would have been 10 in a row easy, however , thanks for the goals and smiles marco !

  • Brilliant Player for Rangers loved his time at Gers

  • Marco Negri 28 League goals Before Christmas in his first season I don't know about you but that sounds pretty good to me. I actually spoke to him In Bar roma restraunt (Edinburgh-west end,98) He told me about how he loved living in Scotland and playing for Rangers and his Injury problems, Lucky for me i spoke good Italian.so there were no problems there. I'm pretty certain that had it not been for a bad case of timing ie New Managment and Injury he would have been loved the Super Ally is.

  • He kind of looks like Freddie Merc...sorry, George Samaras.

  • i heard a chocolate rumour he is a good striker

  • MegaRangers2010 ,cheers for shedding some light on the Negri saga

  • he was the laziest player probably ever to wear a rangers shirt.... his work rate was very poor.... although being a natural born goal scorer....

though lazy.... sebastian Rozental takes the biscuit there i think :P

word is..... he is still on the pay roll !!!! pmsl

  • @mrbassman25 Surely Boydy takes some beating? Great goalscorer but mother of christ, if he wasn't up for it, he wouldn't move.

  • Good plaer for Rangers. Pity it didn't work out for him. Strange how there has been no story about him. He knew where the goal was. That costs a lot these days.

  • He might only have played just over half a season, but 32 goals in that time...but what a finisher and he made it look easy.

  • i remember bein gutted when he didnt come back

  • he's a faggot, cheers sergio BOOM

  • Some of his goals are incredible. What the fuck is this music all about though? Makes me want to eat my penis sandwiched between my eyeballs

  • Guy was a legend...and we were meant to be signing Jardel if it wasn't for the work permit problems...imagine those two as a front pairing!

  • Ive known marco and his wife monica for 10 years he did get an eye injury playing squash but thats not what kept him out so long he got an injury in training and picked up a flesh eating bug on his calf and when dick advocat came in he was frozen out he loved scotland and rangers

  • Shame :( was such an awesome player. Wished he stayed and played the full four years.

  • @chaozxtreme

    He Got Injured

  • @MegaRangers2010

Nothing to do with him falling out with the manager as well then?

  • as far as i am aware he had a talk with advocat about getting a run in the team but im not aware of a fall out but then again he doesnt tell me everything you could be right players fall out with managers all the time

  • @MegaRangers2010 such a shame as well,we were flying til he got injured. Could have been a rangers legend.

  • god he would've been amazing if he hadnt picked up that eye injury, too good to be tru unfortenatly

  • half a season wonder.shudder tae think what he would have done if he stayed fit and completed a full four year contract.bjk

  • @eznof

would have made larsson look like an amateur striker, at the rate he was scoring he would easily still be top goalscorer in scottish football

  • Great vid mate, including music

  • imagine if he hadn't of got injured?, he would've beaten super ally's record lol

  • Forse avrà avuto molta fotuna segnando qst gol, ma 32 reti in appena 29 match non arrivano da soli... forse avrebbe avuto una carriera migliore se nn fosse stato circondato da mlt infortuni... Cmq grande, grandissimo giocatore cm lui all'esetero solo Toni e Vieri...

  • The guy was simply amazing. henrik who??? lol

  • That would be some partnership mols and negri. They would score goals for fun!

  • @willyboyx1

yeah its a shame both of them got injured, had they never got injured they would have destroyed every team

  • mols and negri upfront front for the gers was what i was chokin to see , they would have been amazin man ! i loved negri , what a striker , had the lot and mols was just world class , put them together and uv got somethin special there.

  • Imagine a strike partnership of Negri and Mols ? How good would that have been?

  • I think the injury was from playing squash with sergio porrini. He wasnt wearing protective glasses and lost partial sight which ment he coundn't judge as well. Real shame, he was a n excellent player.

  • wits ae tune at 4:12 m8 ??

  • Its a Mauro Picotto tune, think it may be called Iguana or Komodo

  • a great video apart from the music. Had the potential to be an Ibrox great had he stayed for a few more seasons.

  • Marco Negri or Kris Boyd?

    Who would you have?

  • ...scored for fun?

  • turn that fucking shite music off please

  • So much for the never smiles, rarely celebrates crap often attributed to this prolific goal scorer. One of the most gifted goalscorers I've ever seen!

I wish him all the best whereever he is now and thank him for the pleasure his goals gave me.

  • if we had this guy now, we'd break the scottish transfer record, what an amazing footballer, shame for his injury, and thanks am ilf or all the uploads btw!

  • guy was a fucking legend
