  • I wish I could go to his academy

  • i actually did the first one by instinct a couple weeks ago during mma class. very effective

  • How Does This Move Called.???someone plz

    3:32

  • @FrozyFox The Armbar or Armlock.

  • Great video!!!

  • Your academy must turn out champions.Thx sensei , and continued success through the years.

  • M. Dean you are one hell of a communicator! Well Done Sir!

  • Who headlocks someone on the floor?

  • @FreeButtSex Drunken brawler

  • What is the escape if your opponent is on the ground but his body is completely behind you ?

  • How many people at the end were thinking 'Who Am I ?'...

  • i like your way

  • So this is what Miller did to his sister haha :D

  • was this supposed to go into blue belt requirements? I'm glad that I found this.

  • Beautiful moves!

  • You are one hell of a instructor.. Very clear and understandable with explaining. All arts need more instructors like you. One major error of Martial Arts is Black Belts carrying the title of Sensei or teacher and they cannot teach.

  • Great stuff! Thanks!!

  • Why no rear headlock escapes? :O

  • I love this guy

  • That was excellent teaching.

  • from a guy who loves the martial art and has been practicing it for years...you are great. wish i lived next to your school.

  • this guy is amazing..great video..

  • 3 people got caught in a head lock.

  • OMG This video is stellar. WOW. Tutorial to a whole nother level!!!

  • Roy dean is the man!

  • Excellent! Thanks so much!!! Please keep em coming

  • its good to see how people can escape those headlocks. it helps you offensively as well as defensively

  • EXCELLENT ESCAPES!!! THESE ARE GRACIE JIUJITSU ESCAPES. I SAW RENZO GRACIE AND CRAIG KUKKUK TEACH THESE MOVES.

  • Excellent! excellent quality intructional video!

  • I won't lie to you, in all of my experiences the "hook the leg" is where it's at when it comes to reliability. Maybe it's just me but that seems to work best.

  • @kevluv93 Yea the hooking leg technique works the best for me to.

  • Best bjj videos out there!

  • Brillient! Very helpful for those sticky situations, haha! Thanks!

  • damn I actually had a guy in this position and thought I'd be so superior... luckily he had no idea of such moves

  • well done

    great moves for beginners

  • spectacular counters

  • This actually really helps alot with wrestling if you ever get caught in these positions such as a head and arm. You just gotta do it quick before the teff calls the pin haha

  • he should've shown how to escape and headlock when you're facing the ground. that's the hardest position be in. helpful vid though.

  • I'm really saving money for his DVDs

  • This used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid, I wish I had known BJJ in elementary school.

  • amazing video, great instruction and great explanations. cant wait to try these!

  • i used the kasegami escape once when i was in school, it was against a reeeeeeeeeally fat strong guy, he was a judo champion once but i dont think he expected me to figure it out. it works

  • superb video...top quality teaching

  • Fantastic instructor, Too bad not many teaches like that in dojo;s, But are more concern in getting paid. This sensei is putting this for free on youtube, golden knowedge with is other video's .Very useful in my sparrings. Thank you.

  • nice

  • well done, x

  • good instruction, keeping in mind when rolling the other guy is doing his best to keep position or working for a better one, not often this fluent and is always worked for rarely given to you on a plate. very nice all the same..

  • love your attitude to training which is really refreshing, unfortunately most of the bjj guys i meet have an ego that is out of balance along with too much to say, usually to the detriment of all other martial arts which is stupid, ignorant and negative, which does nothing for the cause of martial arts and attracts the wrong kinda press.

  • This is way better than

    that expert village stuff

where they only tell u stuff ABOUT it lol.

  • nice 1

  • Thnks!

  • Very good video with clear instruction. Thanks for posting it.

  • Awesome stuff! Very helpful to my white belt development, especially the bridging tips. Thanks

  • What a Beast

  • Simple and effective self defence for a practical situation. This is what Helio Gracie wanted. Great vid.

  • 5-star

  • This is awesome man

  • this is very useful.

  • I have been teaching for a long time but I have to say you are a great teacher maybe one of the best I have seen. I love the detail keep it up

  • major skills bro...major skills.....i got mad love to BJJ.....

  • Man ur great, I've used alot of your techniques while rolling with my trainers and friends thanks alot

  • excellent vid!

  • outstanding videos!

  • The best instructions ever, he makes them look easy, I know they're not but this is a real Master!!!!! 100/100.

  • this guy is incredible! he has a way of reminding you of the simple things that you often let slip. these videos have cleaned my ground game up so much.

  • Is this on your blue belt requirements video??

  • yea, it is. go check it out, it's good stuff.

  • great instructional!! two thumbs up, DOMO ARRIGATO!!!

  • its not surprise as much as it is momentum

  • Thanks for this video, its always good to know how to get out of things that are so simple but seem so effective when you don't know how to get out

  • excellent video very well done!

  • great vid man! I get stuck in this position alot, but these moves look like they'll work nicely

  • Great video, specially for defend from those roided guys with brute strength.

  • This the way self-defense videos should be made...5 stars!

  • GREAT video!!!!!

  • i wish i was taller

  • o my goodness

my friend had me in that choke in the beginning and i had no idea wat to do. so i lost. i wished i had the knowledge

  • go train and ull choke him out

  • Good stuff professor. Perfect for someone like me who is just learning. Thanks!

  • I have your Blue Belt DVD. Very good instruction. Thanks.

  • Is this all the techniques shown on this DVD?

  • In the playlist.

  • very clear instruction very helpful

  • Thank you for this video, I learnt a lot.

  • this guy reminds me of sheldian from the big bang theory

  • Very good instruction - Thanks! :-)

  • Great video - nice one.

  • what a simpleton. i'm sure your the only one to thing of that. we train to defend those kinds of things. this is an instructional video. if it was real the white-gi guy would have his chin tucked and if you "raised your hand" it would be Americana/Kimura time for you.

  • poke his eyes, and he would probably take your head off.

You mess with the bull, you taste the horns.

  • great video, and the other ones of you too, really helps me :) thanks

  • hey guys thx for this videos really , thx to the Roy Dean Academy im near to my blue belt this is asome thx alot

  • id like to see the guy in the white try and reverse that

  • thanks I always get into a head lock when im in jujitsu and this helps me

  • poor tj =(

  • thanx for this vid gettin drunk and knowing this works alot

  • after the cradle escape it seems that you could easilly push down and the head to land a knee in the temple. Very excellent breakdown and instruction.

  • once i took my friend to one of my bjj lessons. he did this to me even though he never had seen it before. i couldn't get his head down because he pressed his head against mine, so I used my flexibiity and then i bent my leg over his head, and then I pulled him down.

  • Poetry in motion!

  • hehe some pretty usefull moves there im deff gonna use some of them next time im at Bjj Training :D

  • Yeah I go to my BJJ Dojo twice a week normaly (Now 3 times since its summer) and after I see a few vids of BJJ I am capable of doing within some practise, I always try them dureing sparring

  • great instructional vid ... I liked the wrestlers cradle escape ... I'll try it this week
