I've installed win7 ULTIMATE demo on my pc, i've turned off the demo version with timer nuke, BUT THE PROBLEM IS MY PC SHUTS DOWNS AUTOMATICALLY....

Go and download the free 7100 RC Build from microsoft, it will work verry well and it expires in 2010. All the previous bulids are nuked and restart the pc every 2 hours.

I'm also beta testing Windows 7 Build 7000. And I wanted to see how good it would run in around minimum requirements. So I installed it in an old laptop.

Intel Pentium M 1.7Ghz, 2 Gb RAM, Intel 915 128Mb Video card, used to have Win XP. And I have to say, it runs SMOOTH!! I was completely amazed because this laptop with Vista didn't run that smooth. But Windows 7 just impressed me, only nitpick is the Intel 915 driver, but i heard they fixed that in build 7022.

1. The top for the windows test is now 7.9 introduced in the windows 7 OS.

2. Windows 7 is exactly something the old Microsoft company would make. With that I mean that it's good, fast and good looking. It's like windows 98 but then for this era of OS's.

3. I have it now and it runs fast. It looks like vista but it uses MUCH LESS RAM. And CPU. I can run it with Aero with this system:

Pentium D Dual Core 2.8 GHz

1 GB DDR2 667Mhz

Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE

20 GB partition on a 250 gb disk with also xp

I seriously say, that i was astonished with the perfomance of the system. Its Fantastic, really fast. Goes on my laptop Asus F3Ke amd turion 2x 1.9 mhz 2 gigs of ram and ati radeon x2300 256mb. works much better xp and i wont say how much better than vista. no problems with drivers, even with wifi

It works with Vista drivers, allmost 90% . ATi for ex. has made w7 beta drivers for 4800 Series.

It's not about the looks dude, it's about performance. Vista uses much more memory and processor than this new 7 OS. Put it this way: you got two computer with the same stuff in it, but one has windows 7, the other Vista, the 7 one will work MUCH FASTER.

it has some extra features, a nicer taskbar, and it is much faster.. not only faster than vista, but faster than xp.. and this is ONLY the beta. if you care about performance, you'll get it.

what screen recorder are you using? I'm surprised its that smooth at that high a resolution with glass on and with your CPU specs. I use camtasia and I get about 5 fps with glass on at 320x240. Please help a guy a out. lol
