Zee Keiser iz kaput... Seigen heilen fellen :) Listen up, I have an ati card and I think I have ssao appearing in game, but not sure, i have the SkyrimEnhancedShaders_HDR_V1-1 folder... in it is the (enb file with 'EnableOcclusion=1'). Tweaked this file, but not sure if it is SSAO for ati cards or not? Can someone lemme know, too many files out there saying they are shaders but are not ssoa's.
@nordstressstadt Thanks. But just to double check I have 'EnableOcclusion=0' set to EnableOcclusion=1 and then I have tweaked the [SSAO] section. So i do have SSAO or Occlusion as it is named in the file. SSAO is a longer name for 'occlusion', an Nvidia description? Thanks for the reply.
I have a 3 years old PC that meets only Skyrim´s minimum requirements. I had problems running Skyrim it was so laggy and every 30 sec the game would froze for 2-3 sec while outside, so I found this patch that Vorontsov made and it really works, now I can play Skyrim on medium settings and it runs pretty good, thanks man.
@moryabdi force ssao in driver, best is high quality set FixGraphics=false in the enbpatch.ini, start the game, the shader should crash after 10 secs in the game, tab out to desktop and back an in and it should be working :)
@Rev0lverMann nothing happen again! just slow down the game! an no SSAO effect :/ maybe i should install latest driver! inspector tool hack doesn't work for me :/
I wish I could find a copy of the xbox360 skyrimprefs.ini if I could make the PC version look like the xbox one I'd be happy. The pc version just looks so crap. Not that the xbox version is anything wonderful.
@DoomedTVN Eh? The PC Version is vastly superior. Watching my missus play it next to me on the 360, and I can clearly see the PC has more depth (Trees&Land have shadows with a few tweaks), higher res textures and AF&AA...
Though I will agree that either way, Skyrim does look a little dated...
The file is Write protected. Klick file with right mouse button and unmark the write protection. then change the graphics cars to yours and make file write protectec again.
I'm personally holding off on the enb cuz it took 10 fps from me and it doesn't add much benefit yet. It may not take fps from others but it did for me. I'll try it again when he releases something more substantial.
@Momentheum I agree its not worth it yet. But looking at how GTA 4 ENB looked when it first came out compared to now I think Skyrim ENB is going to be mindblowing in a few months.
@HesterDW Yeah, I use the Icenhancer mod for GTA 4 (I'm sure you know it's based on the ENB), and man does it look amazing. I too think the ENB mod for Skyrim should eventually look awesome. He just released a new version on thursday that apparently helps some of the fps issues. Haven't tried it though. In the meantime though, you can force ambient occlusion on the game by using nvidiaInspector btw.
do I have to disable something in order to use ssoa with an ati card?(eg AA)

if the enb file says EO=1 then you have SSAO activated. This works with ATI and NVIDIA cards.

SSAO = Screen Space Ambient Occlusoin :)
With EO=1 you have it activated. What have you tweaked in SSAO section, better quality or better performance?

@estu02071987
Right now i still play the "old" TESV.exe from before the DRM patch and I use the LAA Flag for it.
Boris V. is working on a fix for that, he says he got 10x higher fps with it. So i'm waiting for that. =D

Is there any way to enable SSAO ? :(
moryabdi 3 months ago
@moryabdi
if you have a nvidia Card then you can install the Nvidia Inspector and use the SSAO in the advanced options.
If u have AMD Card you have to wait for a new ENB release with SSAO.
nordstressstadt 3 months ago
@nordstressstadt i used that inspector app but enabled SSAO in game but nothing happen in game! same shadow but with very low frame rate!

This doesn't look like it's using ENB. I don't see SSAO...

@Derjyn
i disabled SSAO in the enbseries.ini, not effective right now and needs to much power.
Boris V. still waits for the Patch and then does a really good enb :)
