How different do you think it would be for someone who is Japanese-American and has tattoos? I'm planning on getting a tattoo(s) soon, and I visit every year to see my grandma and aunt. I'm kinda' scared to see the reactions of the general public...I don't look half white, I look more Asian so...

Thanks for posting this! I was in okinawa japan for 7 months. Got a traditional back piece, kinda what yakuza would have... got some stares... but nothing really negative? The locals where more excited! Asking questions like you said, why did you get them, did it hurt, how much etc...?
Yea dude, what tattoos do you have? Because I have a half sleeve that I doubt would be cool.
