@whitedragon812 I'm pretty sure its the PS2 version. This is a Cave Arcade game, the king of the shoot em ups. Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 is a region free game on XBOX 360 however.

Ok....i haven't played this even once but.....how is a ship that size not getting hit? I can barely see it on the screen. Is there like a part of it that you can NOT let get hit? Is it small?

@marioman361 Yup, and it's visible as a faint green circle when you hold down shot. The bullets are also much smaller than they look, so you can almost pass through the center of a large bullet and still not get hit. Hitbox in this game is 2 horizontal pixels by 4 vertical pixels.

Of course it's easier, it's ARRANGE mode. Mode of autobombing and starting out with maximum options. Ultra difficulty is a fair bit harder.

Two different styles of shmup anyway. Cave focuses more on sheer bullet spam while Touhou leans toward challenging patterns. Play one like the other and I guarantee you will die.

@MetroidSuperFan hmm your right there. After playing Ultra DIfficulty the only thing I can say is that they're both equal in difficulty. In touhou your hitbox is at least double the size than in Cave shooters-

Kiniro is the one that leads the Kojuu (the insects). Aki is Reco's love interest who dies from poison at the end.

The boss in this game is the Kojuu god on Kiniro. The bomb on here works differently. Instead of firing an explosive blast onto the screen, it has a bunch of insects clearing out the bullets. Every time you use the bomb the Kojuu god shields himself and Kiniro for a few seconds.

Let go of the fire button and don't bomb for a short bit.

I believe the boss keeps the shield up as long as you keep firing. Not entirely sure. I am absolutely certain that the shield is regenerated when you bomb and when you die(in other words, when you're invincible).

You hjave to play up to it, seeing as this is an arcade game. But in the PS2 version, you have infinite credits (except on Arrange mode), so you can truy out a few different strategies by just not shooting at all.

the Arrange mode? I would say no.

I think the Arrange Mode is way easier than Arcade Mode (even on normal). In Arrange Mode there are a lot more Bullets, however they are coming quite slowly (compared to Arcade)

E.g. in Arrange Mode i can get to Level 4 with one Credit, in Arcade it ends in Level 3.

I am not that good in playing this game though.

Arrange mode is actually the easiest mode in the game. When you get hit, instead of dying, you use a bomb...so you have like 9 lives, compared to 3 in other modes.

I can reach the TLB in Arrange, but in Original I barely get to level 4.
