what a laugh they were live ... saw them in Electric Ballroom with tenpole tudor and Demented ....NSPCC ... national society for the proection of cruelty against chickens !!!
remember BAY HOTEL GREENOCK before they were not famous but known then became known (claim to fame ) played pool with them james, linda and me those were the times!!!!!!!!!!!!
Them were the days, seen twice at Bowes Lyon House Stevenage and Queensway Hall Dunstable and others, flour everywhere and oh yes! the wheel of misfortune, these boys knew how to party, fucking awesome.
first saw king kurt in 84 at pink toothbrush; with mates from stanford le hope.got a go on wheel of misfortune never drunk so much so quick sweet !not so fun hair cut done on stage quiff never recovered .but what the fuck what a nite.other than black eye coming off stage
Ah good times, saw King Kurt the first time supporting The Meteors at a club called Extremes on West St (that become part of an amusement arcade) very early 80's. Along with the music, it was the food fight. flower, bake beans and dead rabbits that created a metamorphosis from Psychobilly to a sillybilly over night. Went on to see em about 25 times at the 101 Club Clapham, klubfoot Hammersmith, and The Fridge in Brixton
katierum21, I was there too! All the way from fucking Australia and it was bloody worth it. Amazing show! Shame I left the UK a couple months too early, would have loved to see the original lineup!
@skreeech Went to the original line up gig last night... was fucking MAD! wasnt a dress to get messy but the spandex bodysuits they were wearing were ace! It was ace to see them with a saxamaphone too!!!!
aw man, I went to see em at nottingham at the beginning of december.. FUCKING ACE!! cant wait til next march when its the original king kurt line up!!! :D
saw kurt at the hellfire club york sept 83, unbelivable gig could just make them out on stage because of all the flour and other gunge thrown around u dont get gigs like that anymore
Hab die mal Live in Bochum gesehen. Anfang der 80er. Eins der geilsten Konzerte meines Lebens. Es war so voll. Ich hab die Füsse beide angehoben und bin nicht gefallen. Ehrlich. Abgefahren!!!
Hey Bo Diddley, where'dya get that song? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was 16 back in 87 round a mates digs in Crawley with a bunch of us Mods partying on home made cider and lager and fighting to King Kurt records.......with a bunch of 18+ year old 'Defiance' scooter club nutters! It was scarey!!! and a lot of fun!
That was a fantastic night, Loved them and loved Bo's talking guitar. I was a young 'slip of a thing' back then. So glad I saw both of 'em. Bands were allowed to do mucky stuff back in the day (True Life Confessions) - too bloody 'Health & Safety' these days. No one died for Christ's sake! Except maybe from having a damn good time.
Great band.. Loved the spinning wheel of misfortune at the KlubFoot.. Great memories.. My old man never could understand why my mates and I wore dresses and Docs to the gig...
aaahh those were the days. just looking for some slam dancing to show the kids not quite the wall of death but wot a laugh. Saw them at the fridge and was sick for 2 days lol
Class band, these guys knew how to party. If I remember rightly the 12" single of Zulland was a trick record in that when you put the stylus on it it fell off!. It played from the middle outwards! Great guys
Awesome. Saw these boys live at Shelleys' , Stoke on Trent before it became famous as a rave club. Slam danced the night away. Long lives the Holmes Chapel Mafia 22A.C.F.

Drunk themselves broke?
Looks to me they had a right good laugh doing it.
It's only rock and roll after all.
There's no it's 'only IT'
What happens after that (!)?
Right love let's go for a dance 'cos I just saved the network from a trojan 'orse.
Let's dance.
