Keiji Infuane didn't even plan for there to be an X7! The ending of X6 where Zero seals himself was supposed to be cannon which would be continued with the Zero series. However, Capcom wanted to make X7 and X8, which was more than it should have been.

@RunnerGuitar I think Alia was supposed to be our replacement Roll. Besides, the EXE series is unrelated to the normal canon, so an upgrade from the original Roll, who was a lab assistant and house cleaning robot wouldn't be too useful in a raging civil war. Alia, who is a supportive character, much like the original Roll, makes the most sense.

@SkullBlackRose I share that thought, CAPCOM knows theres MMX fans out there and they know that they have to somehow connect it to MMZ, with out that connection the X series is imcomplete, but its also because of that connection that they dont continue the series, they cant find a way to connect theyre story to Inafune's, and with him out of CAPCOM things will be more difficult since they wont be able to at least consult him on tiny things

I tried to support the x9 campaigns, but the friggin' sites ask me for personal details, and i don't see why i should put myself at risk over a company that can be arsed for megaman 9&10,but doesn't bother considering x9! To be honest, I don't think they want to make it - its been 6 years since x8 was released! Oh yeah, why do crapcom always have 12 levels in their games? why not 40 for once? Its not hard to make a game with that many levels - ive seen games with that many already.
