A lot of people compare the gameplay similar to the Zelda games, though at the same time it's like nothing you've ever played. It's one of my favourite games for the PS2, one of my favourite games of all time

Well, that may be true, I never played it on the wii, so I'm a bit biassed towards the PS2 version...however, I'd say get either version. Whichever floats your boat.

this game was going to have realistic graphics but they rather got inspired on the wind waker's cel shaded, it's a lil like legend of zelda but not completely

the comparision "zelda - okami" is somewhat like " the chronicles of narnia - his dark materials (golden compass)", it's not exactly the same, but it got inspired by it

It's about the reincarnation on the legendary hero Shiranui. Amaterasu, the japanese sun goddess becomes Shiranui to save Nippon against monsters when the world is put into disarray. Using the celestial brush, you have to battle monsters and such. It's a really good game. I wonder why it isn't extremely famous.

the only thing about the game that seems to have any flaw whatsoever from a glance is the computer generated voices

ye i no i actually had to look at a walkthrough just to learn how to kill that dang spider!!! you had to connect a vine from the flowers to the spider to attack her eyes!! but by far the best boss : D

mmm! ye i've completed the game quite a lot it's my fav game ^^ bandit spider's a pain it's like jump down the hole to get treasure... defeat the spider and what do you get? a sun fragment... wow... but not dissing or anything i LOVE the game!! : D

hey that was a good prize! the sun fragments remind me of heart pieces in the legend of zelda. collecting heart pieces was always my favorite part of the game. one of my favorite parts, anyway.

Yeah the bandit spider is harder, but not to say anything there's this unlimited Devil gate down there too, when you defeat the Bandit Spider then go back up, and then down again...

You have to equip the mirror to sub-weapon and use it when a monster attacks you. It doesn't work on bosses, though.

Great trailer, and it gets me even more hyped about the prospect of Okami coming to the Wii. Whether it be a direct port with added Wii controls or something more than that, I'd be happy either way.
