  • Lennon's being a douche here.

  • @Voodoochil111111 Thats just how Lennon was, he was far from a 'douche', he was a genius

  • @CommieCotch I never said he wasn't a genius. I'm a Lennon fan too, but he was being pretty douchey here. Dylan is clearly really fucked up and Lennon is being "that guy" who takes advantage of the drunk guy in the room. "Ohhhhh the song publishing company". He knew exactly what Dylan was referring to. Someone can be a genius, but still be a douche.

  • @Beckgab123 According to John Lennon, they were on heroin actually

  • That is funnier than dog crap!

  • Dylan seems shitfaced drunk.

  • 1965 -66 at that time form what I've heard and read, Dylan often was a jerk to those around him,,testing them as it were..I think Lennon eats him alive here, by not playing Dylan's game...feel kinda sorry for Bobby, NOT

  • BOBBYS is so trying hard.. he comes off like a wee FOOL in this movie .. you know those middleclass kids you meet that just wanna get down with ya..... THIS IS DYLANS MOVIE He wanted lennon in it.. so hes had a big hit of speed thinking he will get lennon on flim- go back to the STATES and edit the footage to look so cool.. but lennon ate him up bobs comes off like a wee twerp... FOLKA ROCKA BOOM

  • is John being really condescending or is that just how he was?

  • @kimdonovan Don't know what he was really like but in this case I reckon Lennon is just a lot less stoned than Dylan at the time.

  • Dylan was wayyyy to drunk to be in a car with anyone at that point...

  • Lennon is in total awe of Dylan......

  • @THthefirst

You must be as stoned as Dylan was. JL in awe of Dylan? LMAO!

  • @094340 Not a particularly controversial statement - it's well documented that Lennon was in awe of Dylan's lyrical/poetic style, and that until the Beatles met Dylan they were very much a squeaky clean, manufactured, pop group (I wanna hold your hand etc). After meeting Dylan, and of course developing in their own right as a very talented group, they moved on and up.

As a single songwriter, Bob Dylan is unsurpassed in terms of using popular music and the written word.

    That's all...

  • @THthefirst Show me the documents that provide proof that JL was in awe of BD. LMAO! The Beatles squeaky clean? LMAO! That was how they were portrayed but they were anything but. Manufactured? Well, they were managed if that's what you mean. The Beatles went through an song writing evolution that would have occurred BD or no BD. JL respected BD's work (until You Gotta Serve Somebody) but was not in awe of him. As for your last statement ...well that's just a biased opinion now isn't it?

  • @THthefirst they were never squeaky clean, at least lennon wasn't. in the rolling stone interview he says how in hamburg he was a complete drunk and had been taking pills since he was about fifteen. they were manufactured to a degree i suppose, but i don't think dylan's introducing them to pot improved their song-writing abilities, it just changed it, but it would have changed anyway just not in the same way...

  • @philipdarby5 That's probably true, though I think Dylan influenced them massively in terms of lyrics/imagery and the Beatles influenced him massively in terms of the sound of pop music and also him wanting to be a rock star (which led to his electric era) rather than a protest/folk singer.

  • @094340 Er, you can listen to the Beatles say this themselves, just watch the "Beatles Comments About Bob Dylan" video on here.

Lennon is obviously dead but the others speak for the band and him.

  • John Lennon is hilarious.

  • Dylan took a long time to grow up. I think 'Blood On The Tracks' is where he started to show adulthood.

  • Lennon seems very intimidated, it is very close as when he met Elvis, he just stared the man.

  • @MAGICO240

Are you high? If anything Dylan is the one that seems akward and uncomfortable. I didn't know you were with the Beatles when they met Elvis. Wow! That must have been amazing!

  • Lennon seems nervous. It is kind of an awkward scene.

  • To Lennon, Bob said, "You shit man" The only person can say such a word to Lennon is Dylan.

  • @carrywet No he said "You're GONNA shit man" as in shit yourself with excitement

  • @simonpenum Thanks for subtitling, I have a hearing problem!

  • @carrywet That's ok. Actually the full transcript of their conversation is available online, I read it a while ago, if you just google it you'll be able to read the whole thing

  • Irish Ike could talk, englishman.

  • John Lennon Es Un Maestro......Bob Dylan Es Un Dios

  • FUCKIN´ ASSHOLES

  • LSD U and ME we´ll be free ;o)

  • Two brilliant men with sexy accents.. i do not ask for perfection but these two fringe.

  • john looks like he knows his day is coming. he seems kind of paranoid. two geniuses talking about another genius.

  • they are both high as kites

  • Bob is soooooo high !!!!!

  • putain dylan il est raide ^^

  • lol bob dylan is totally high and John is just like "okay bob I think you've smoked enough of this shit, lets go make a song."

  • I wish I could talk ENGLISH man

  • @itchyweasel62

    Irish Ike could talk, englishman.

  • @itchyweasel62 Me too, Bobby!

  • dylan is fucked up

  • A shame they didn't just drive to the studio and write and record one song together. They were at their peak in '66. This was, I believe, around when the beatles did the Revolver album.

  • great clip of those 2 kings!

  • 2:56 -- 2:59 ???

  • good times...

  • lennons taking the piss...

  • they stoneddd

  • i cried when lennon died and it was so ironic that he should perish by a nut job with an adgenda because he gave peace a chance

  • Really it almost made sense...John had sold out to the big business world,"all we need is love" was all a big lie...just like "Catcher in the Rye"..where everyone was a lier and phony..not saying that that freak wasnt an asshole and crazy, but in some bizzare way....

  • how can u think that all we need is love is a big lie? He had everything, he didn't need money or fame he was on the top. So why? Man u need to learn more about John, he almost get deported for say this wtf are u talking about! damn..

  • if you're using the catcher in the rye as an example to put down "phonys" then you really didn't comprehend what the book was trying to say.

  • @somewhereintyme - i know this is a very old comment, but its a nasty thing to say. Sense?? Obviously he lacked sense or logic.I think people should be honest with themselves... in a way its like jealousy. Maybe he should have given money away. Lets just enjoy his music!!!

  • man this is fuuunny

  • haha looooved it.. Dylan sounds exactly like Dennis Hopper In Easy Rider =)

  • Is that Neuwirth in the front seat? This is great shit.

  • they were soo high. especially dylan. well at least johns hiding it more.

  • It seems John's not completely up to Bob (who's ape stoned). John feels a bit awkward.

  • i think that is dylans intention when he speaks to people

  • whaaaaaaaaa..............?

  • British verses Israeli:

  • Was that really Dylan? Man he seemed smashed. A good historical record of 2 giants shooting the shit.
