Nice how you fleshed out each question into a bit of a story - I knew the pilot one but the 500 spiders one I'm quite surprised!

I managed to wean someone off a very strong fear of spiders by giving them a specimen jar containing a house spider, and in the process weaned myself off a moderate fear of them - I now no longer consider the possibility of them running across my naked toes when I put my feet under a table, but I still can't stand the idea of picking up a big one in my hands.
