Windowed mode for steam and other games

Can anyone help me???? I'm having cursor issues for Garry's Mod. I can only see the cursor when I put it in wondowed mode. When its in fullscreen I cant see it at all. Any advice????

i have a mac and when i open garrys mod it loads forever and making it a window is supposed to fix it but i only get to see the error which is

Easier way:

1. Right click steam game (like start of this video)

2. Click properties

3. Set launch options

4. Type -windowed

5. Run game as normal and it will be in a window

To undo this, do the same thing but type -fullscreen

to BAOUZIZI: for F.E.A.R.2 you have to write: +windowed 1 after the quote marks, then the game runs in windowed mode.

sure. every game is meant 2 be played in full screen for full visual experience. but the game developers use windowed mode when they develop the games. i used it a lot while i was live streaming games without a capture card on only one pc, at 1 point of my life. also if you wan't 2 run programs in the background without having to sacrifice the game shutdown. so yeah, it can be usefull for some purposes. you can always change the settings to their original state and get it back 2 normal ;)

thx cuz GMOD and my computer dont like each other. So if it lags, or if a message, or if you accidentally press a slidebutton on my side of my mouse, or accidentally press the windows button on your keyboard, BAM! GMOD gone, restart computer.

You can put WoW into windowed mode in the video options mate :P

For steam, this works better if you right click the game, go to properties, advanced launch options and type -window then press OK and launch and normal from steam.
