I really, really, REALLY want to know what this guy is saying because, right now, the random Akari-look-a-like and cherry blossoms inserted with the whole Qatar theme kind of makes no sense from just looking at the CM. I know that this commercial is about Taisei's New Doha airport project (which makes sense with all the camels and donkeys you see here), but how does, love, winter, cherry blossoms, and Akari (pretty much everything from 5 cm per second) fit in here? SUBS PLEASE.

why does all his projects have akari/takaki look alikes . Not completely but about above 70% .

Well, I think it's because generally all anime characters tend to look alike when it comes to facial traits, so they make up for it with crazy hair colors and styles, as well as eye colors,

but since shinkai has done more realistic films, more of a slice of life, he preffers real hair/eye colors, causing his characters to look alike

@Jjasonrev It is because that is his style.. animators have different style on how they create their masterpiece.. like the team clamp for example who created Magic Knight Rayearth and X.. characters look the same and style are much the same in many aspects

@Jjasonrev the animes are not focused on the characters but on the storyline another thing is taht there is no real difference in anime character design just one primary design thenthey just change the hairstyle watch gintama and ull see the similarities.
