This is such a cute and funny cartoon.. right up until that last scene which just ruins it all in my opinion. We all know cartoons are violent, and usually we giggle because it's done in a silly manner, from Wile E Coyote getting blown to bits to Daffy Duck continuously blasted in the face by a confused Elmer Fudd. But a guillotine?? That scene is not funny or silly, it's just morbid, and it made me cry when I was a little girl -- and even now that I'm an adult I hate it! Such a shame.

Tom has died twice, beheaded here and drowned in wine in another musketeer episode, he had a near death experience while asleep, Jerry almost decapitates him with some scissors, he had an entire horde of bees down his throat (my favorite scream by the way) and in pretty much every single episode he has something blown up oh his face, although toon explosions only leave you with a bad concussion and black ashes all over you XD. I think that we've been through a lot as kids XD
