God I love Gorillaz! Back when I was just 10 years old I immediately fell in love with this band ever since the first time I saw the Clint Eastwood video clip. I downloaded their debut and really loved the songs, especially the more twisted and relatively osbcure songs like Man Research and The Sounder (not to forget Faust on G-Sides). They were the first band I chose out of my own taste, not as a little impressionable kid, but as myself. Even though I'm into heavy metal I still love Gorillaz.

me too! i was in 4th grade when their first album came out. i fell in love with the clint eastwood video, and got myself the album. it was the first music i decided to like on my own as well, when all my friends were still listening to whatver was featured on "NOW 5" i was rockin out to M1A1 ;p

now im in college and kind of rediscovering them, its so great!

Don't know what this band had (maybe the cartoons of the band) but i just wanted to buy the Cd when i heard 19-2000 and couldn't stop listening to them, even when i couldn't understand a thing of the lyrics (didn't speak english very well... but even now i don't undestand many things, lyrics are weird xP) and the music was just weird (indeed thts what i loved hehe).... I was like 11 :3
