I only wish people knew that the iroc only came with a five spd in the 305/5litre cars. From the factorey anyway. Th 305 and 350 werent but about20-25 HP different. I personally think you get quicker revs and higher RPM capability out of a 305. That's just me. nice ride

I noticed the IRC stickers on the doors, but the older non grid-type tailight housings that didn't come on the IROCs(only Berlinetta, standard Z28's from 82-84 and the RS models). Actually, it is partially from driving them both and partially from Motor Trend where they said that even though the 2010 Mustang GT has less horsepower than both the Challenger and the new Camaro, it has a better overall mix of speed, handling, comfort, and style. So, the fact that the Camaro packs almost more than 100 horsepower more and is quicker 0-60 by less than two tenths is also quite funny.

I actually have owned both a camaro and a stang and I am not really biased to one than the other. I have a job and I own a mustang right now. I like the look of the new Camaro better than the new 2010 mustang. But price and performance based... I would pick up a 2010 Mustang GT over a Camaro every day of the week. After test driving both, the stang felt much more planted and the speed difference is negligible. The interior is also better in the stang than the Camaro...Overall, its better.
Yeah, I like them both as well. The one thing about the look of the camaro that bothers me is the view from the inside cabin. It is EXTREMELY limited. There are a lot of blind spots and you feel like you are in a tank. That turned me off to them a lot. Also, the Mustang outhandles the camaro by a rather wide margin in my opinion.

I actually have owned both a camaro and a stang and I am not really biased to one than the other. I have a job and I own a mustang right now. I like the look of the new Camaro better than the new 2010 mustang. But price and performance based... I would pick up a 2010 Mustang GT over a Camaro every day of the week. After test driving both, the stang felt much more planted and the speed difference is negligible. The interior is also better in the stang than the Camaro...Overall, its better.

Yeah, I like them both as well. The one thing about the look of the camaro that bothers me is the view from the inside cabin. It is EXTREMELY limited. There are a lot of blind spots and you feel like you are in a tank. That turned me off to them a lot. Also, the Mustang outhandles the camaro by a rather wide margin in my opinion.

Ive owned 3 of these things and that's a constant problem, i had to replace the whole cooling system, it's probably your radiator, thats what it was on 2 of my 3, and don't go cheap.

Can we agree to disagree we all here love our American Muscle over jap cars? I never had a Trans Am or Z-28 but I would have loved to own one of each, I had three Mustangs all fast as hell. It's ashame we only have really 2-3 choices for American Muscle.. Third being a vette if you have the money to buy one.. my 85 305 trans am is far better than any 85 5.0 mustang stock for stock. does your mustang have tight suspension with a really tight steering box, or huge sways? doubt it. was the 5.0's body designed using a wind tunnel for aerodynamics? doubt it. dont get me wrong i love 347's but stock for stock trans ams had 5.0's beat back in the day.

Yea I have never seen any of those SVT cars anywhere EVER, but I regularly see SS Implalas, Corvettes are ALL over the streets up where I live, theres mutangs too yea, but theres only 5 Mustangs that I see regularly and 3 of them are DRIVEN by women. All the 80's Camaros are driven by guys and I have seen them smoke the Mustangs with the nice shiny "GT" letters on them. lol top speed on a 69 'stang??? it was about 125-130, the dodge stealth had its limiters removed and had a performance chip, topped at 160, and yea it possible, so um, yea it won. It wasnt on a drag strip they did it on the highway, and if ur gonna say "O the stealth was modded" Well the show car was pretty pimped itself, it wasnt all just for show and it still lost. Also I'll have u kno that Mustangs used to carry 4 bangers as a standard engine, something Camaros NEVER did, lol, thats sad.

While the Fox Bodies had a great platform to build off of, the 90s Mustang GTs were a joke. They were no match for the LT1 and LS1 F bodies. Even the new GTs have a hard time besting the last generation Camaros and Firebirds. That's fine if you're a Mustang fanboy, but it's not hard to google the numbers on what these cars made.
