@MrViTopol the studies were made by experts and was reviewed by academics. all i need to do is to provide the names of the studies (for example: nebel et al, hammer et al, behar et al). and than it is up to you to prove they are wrong, based on experts opinions who not only point out flaws in the study, but also to show an alternative.
only problem is, that the genetic studies have no such flaw and they are fitting the historical documentation perfectly.

jews are an ethno-religious group, which means that our culture and customs are part of our religion. you can be a secular jew, if you keep your culture, but you cannot be a christian jew.
the state of israel is secular, and you can get a citizenship by showing that you or one of your parents, or one of your grandparents is jewish (and your family - wife and children, will get a citizenship as well).

@MrViTopol you didn't understand. for the state of israel, to be jewish you need to either convert to judaism (which includesstudying the history, language and culture, as well as blending within the society). or to have jewish heritage.
I believe, personally, that there are 3 parameters that makes a person jewish: culture (or jewish identity), religion and ethnicity. for me, it's enough to have 2 of those parameters to be called "jewish".

in israel, in order to get married, you need the agreement of the relevant religious aouthority (I.E christian authority for christians, islamic courts for muslims, and the rabbinic authority for jews). many people disagree with that method including me. btw, you can still have a common-law marriage without involving the rabbinic authority.

@011jaffa Not quite. Some territorial Arabs are RELATED to Jews, but that should be no surprise, since they are all Semites. Some are descended from the Jews, but they are scattered. The Arabs are a varied mix of peoples, depending on where they live. Its really a very complicated mess, that is not that straightforward.

@LSRochon No there isnt. UN Res 242 refers to withdrawal to defensible borders. The pre-1967 "border" is an armistice line that is not in any way defensible.
Hamas accepting that is a complete lie. Hamas states regularly that it wants the entire land. It has refused to remove the destruction of Israel from its charter. And if they are so willing to accept a truce, they can stop shooting rockets.

So the U.S. was of course supporting the Israeli invasions and occupation of southern Lebanon. Hizbullah was instrumental in driving them out, so for that reason they are a terrorist organization.
