  • I worked at a Top Notch Arab farm. These horses are born and bred to trot. But they are also trained. They put hobbles on them with stretch tubing between the front feet. They wear chains on their ankles and are worked on the ground in a round pen with longlines and a whip.

  • Park arabs are not my fav. don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the breed or the riding style, (especially as I ride saddleseat myself) I just prefer arabs to be a little less....poised. I love seeing them with their heads and tails up and the lower more sweeping movement, really showing their spirit. Gorgeous horses tho.

  • @Calicat1994 Have to say in reguards to my own lack of sight...I just noticed that these were Half arabs....oops my bad.

  • I once owned a nat'l top ten half arab park horse, back in the 70's and early 80's. He was 1/8 quarter horse, and man that gelding could trot! What they used to call a 'bean shooter', because his beautiful trot was a natural floating gait. He'd probably never make the cut now.

  • The best of the bred!

  • Those horses are beautiful.

I love the arab park horses :D

  • well this is where this comment is going, no matter, this is where the arrow went... 313 768 3264 Special Olympics called, i may have went off a tad, but hadn't yet had my coffee and medication to be able to function yet and elijah was chasing a rabbit and doing his business in the neighbors yard, which is a no go, so i had much going on when they just called, also my car is dead again, and it appears again am on my own, my bank account well is that ever right? oh it is a credit union, a

  • do i ever get a break...

even if all phones, bugs etc... well

    yep

    still on duty

    24/7

i really would like a rest

  • one more round

  • Amen

  • Wow I just love this video!

  • Do they really love to trot? I know nothing about horses. I have just always thought. if I were a horse, I would not like a person sitting on my back. I don't know about this event, but I know many horse events are cruel to the animal. Cruel to the humans ridding the horses as well. I don't know. Just wondering is all. Thanks

  • Oh Yes a true show horse like the ones you saw in this class love what they do. I know this class had music backing it but if it didn't all u would hear is the crowd cheering, the horses respond to those cheers, they know they look good and show off even more!! This class was a national level competition. The best of the best in this class

  • Cool. Are you saying the horses have pride and/or ego? They desire reward? Cool. I wonder what it would be like if an alien creature captured me and trotted me around sitting on my back as a spectacle? I mean, I guess if the alien was not so heavy in mass, that would be better than being a brutalized slave for my alien master.

I think I would rather sit under a tree and listen to the sound of leaves from a tree rustling in the wind. Maybe not. I know my dog loves reward. Desire with a passion.

  • the bottom line is that they are bred for this type of riding and competition and yes they do love to hear people cheer for them, I've been to quite a few national level shows with my morgans and now have a few under my belt with my saddlebred. and they DO 100% react to the cheers. My little morgan Tsunami is 14.2 and sometimes I'm afraid he's gonna run over these huge saddlebreds in some of his classes cause he wants the praise and attention from the crowed that bad. It's how they are.

  • I wonder what its like for the animals back. Not to mention, the dainty legs horses have. Its obvious animals want praise, we all do in one way or another, but still, impact on the back. I got no idea what the horse feels or is thinking. I can only imagine. Maybe the horse is thinking, well, I hate the pain I feel in my back, and the stress on my joints. but I love it out here where all the fun is. Maybe the horse it thinking, I feel no pain. My back is fine. I just love the fun of it all. ????

  • @YouSpamTard

With correct training horses learn something called self carriage. AKA they learn to lift through their back when carrying a rider. It is same as you using your arms and legs to lift a heavy weight. Also keep in mind that to a horse a human is like you carrying a cat around and believe if they do have back problems most of them do let you know about it. (flinching when you touch their back, bucking, trouble with collection) Their legs look dainty but they're strong like steel rods.

  • @7flyinghecks I aint buying it. They got thin legs and big bodies. A simple awareness of physics tell us they are already taxed out and more stress is more stress to an already taxed system. Yes they may learn carriage or what ever, but its simply animal abuse for the horse freaks to satisfy their egos,

  • @YouSpamTard

Have you ever even ridden a horse or even been around one for that matter? Anyway, studies have been done on horses on strong they are. A fat out of shape horse still has more endurance and stamina than a human athlete that is trained for the Olympics. I pamper my horse. I constantly check him for soreness, but he is always fine if worked correctly with warm up and cool down time. That is all that I will say to you because I know I am wasting my time. Now go troll some where else.

  • @7flyinghecks Maybe the horse would rather live on the side of a mountain with other horses and be free, unchained and unburdened,(other than a pending predator that may arise), but of course you would not understand such a concept. You are the horses predator. His beast of burden, so to speak. It is what it is. Understand?

  • @YouSpamTard yeah these horses thats alllll they wanna do is to trot and perform. thats what they live for.

  • i miss going 2 arabian nationals

    love um ponies

  • Amen!!!

  • I HEART PARK CLASSES!

they are fun, my horse is pleasure.. i kindof wish she could do park. oh well .lol

  • Who is that chestnut at 1:43?

    great editing!

  • If im answering you right it goes from a slow down clip of Shopisticated Lady and James Stachowski to Jeff Knights old Park horse Gosh cant remember the horses name but Dwayne Burger was riding. If you need the name of THAT horse let me know I'll email Jeff for u! Sorry I don't remember, thanks for the compliment on the editing!

  • Sophie is the Queen!!!

  • There will still only be one Red Tape.....

  • that was an awesome video!

  • I love arabians. Will you ever have arabian hunter pleasure videos? cuz i ride arabians and half arabians in hunter pleasure and i would like to see them.

  • I was at these Nationals and this class was amazing, as is every Park class at the Arabian Nationals. And yes, I do know what I'm talking about ... I have a HA/ half-hackney park mare that's unbelievable !!!

  • Nice Video! *****

  • oh are you serious, yes it is true that saddlebreds have more impulsion on account of a stronger build, but this is for the appreciation and diversification of the arabian breed. if you have no appreciation for the oldest breed in existance, than don't watch it.

  • I've been around Arabians since 1978, basically all my life. The Saddlebred people who knock the Arabs, don't understand or appreciate their own breed. For without the Arabian the Saddlebred would not have been created. Thank you ridingsaddleseat for taking the time to comment and defend the Arabian.

  • These hoeses are for people who don't have the class, talent, and bankroll for a Saddlebred. It's like buying a Kia Sonata because you can't afford a Jaguar...

  • It's not about being able to buy a Saddlebred. Some people like horses with brains hence crossing a Saddlebred with an Arabian. And it's actually a Hyundai Sonata...

  • It also has to do with the fact that Arabians add beauty to the Saddlebred. Arabians are widely known as being one of the most beautiful breeds of horses both in confirmation and in movement. So adding beauty, brains, and sophistication to a Saddlebred sure sounds like a pretty good thing to do.

  • I don't really like this type of riding. It looks so unnatural.

  • you wierd

  • Well I'm sorry that I didn't realize that posting my opinion is a crime. O.o

  • well i am use to it so ya thats okay though

  • This is how I ride, so I obviously like it. But on the contrary, Arabians and Saddlebreds who do this have been bred to do this, so its also natural for them. If you look at something like Tennessee Walking Horses... now that looks unnatural to me.

  • Ya i kn0 i don't like The Tenneessee walking horses how they trot

  • Artsyhorse- These are National Show Horses-

they are half arabian and half saddlebreed- which forms the National Show Horse.

  • there is very little of real Arab horse movement in these horses..at least the top two winners. They look like Saddlebreds or Morgans or dishy faced hackneys. Whats the point of making an Arab not an Arab but something else ????? It's an ancient breed is there no appreciation of them as is??

  • just "gotta go" this year, some how, miss this!

    faith hope LOVE

    peace

    *trio

  • amazing...so much talent, looking forward to this year!

  • seen Good Thunder sev. x's one little guy, BUT talk about trot, power! opps wrong video, they have one with Good Thunder!

  • GREAT music for a GREAT class! Good job! Not that hard to get there to watch. Great fun and Arabian horse people are eager to share their awesome breed! We love newbies!!!

  • Oh man what I would do to have a park horse like that! Or even just be there to watch!

  • Absolutely, AWESOME!!!!! Sofisticated Lady is unbelievable!!! Candieland8187 has no clue!!! Maybe he/she should take a ride!!!

  • Hi jacque check out my account!

  • ringside at US...there's nothing like it. sophisticated lady was amazing!

  • Is this a natural gait? Is it a smooth gait? What's the purpose of this gait?

  • thats just a reaaaally animated trot. its for show. they're riding saddleseat park horses

  • And somehow, somewhere, there are people out there who can't see all of the beauty and talent in that ring...

  • That's so cool! I'm delighted.
