Why is it that Super Mario RPG has one of the most epic final area/final boss themes in all of RPG gaming?
...oh, yeah. Squaresoft helped make it. That aside though, I still feel plenty of video game music composers should take a clue from this song and "Fight Against Kajidoh, Who Likes Transforming".
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
Sort of has a Final Fantasy bit of vibe to it. Now that I think of it this does feel a bit like a Final Fantasy game as it apparently uses a more simple and easy to use Final Fantasy type gaming engine. I am not saying this is a bad thing by any means. The FF type feel in a Mario game actually made it epic and enjoyable to play. Gotta love Super Mario RPG.
When I got to this part, it made me rather sleepy because the feel of the song was rather relaxing for some odd reason, I often would fall off the stupid bolts because I dozed off
When I was a lad, I used to listen to this constantly and didn't care that people said I needed to listen to something else. THIS is just how awsome this track is.

@jmario232 Yeah, it kind of reminds me of a tune from Final Fantasy VI, Devil's Lab.

One of my favorite themes from any game ever. It beats out every other song on the OST imo. Good ear-candy.

epic music

I'd say it was awesome, but it would seem redundant considering that anything in 13/8 is automatically awesome anyway.

Reminds me of "Devil's Lab" from FF6. Or rather, it reminds me of this. Both are just so damn good.

@bendario You mean the Magitek Research facility!
JamesRideout123 1 year ago
@JamesRideout123 Right. The name of the song for the Magitek Research Facility is "Devil's Lab."
bendario 1 year ago
@bendario No thats just a name someone put on it. It was always just called Magitek Research Facility. Someone just tried to fancy it up.

My mom also you use to play this and this was her favorite theme from the game.
I remember she would let the game stand still while cleaning the house for entertainment.

I remember back in kindergarten (I can recall many things easily), my mother used to play this game a lot, and I had this song stuck in my head a lot.
Actually, everyone but my father played games a lot back then, and it was great. But times change, I suppose...

Wow... I was in 5th grade when this game came out in '96. Neither of my parents would know what to do with a mario game. :D
