  • Just published this on the facebook group where the music of Concierto Fm from the 70s and 80s is remembered. Chilliwack became popular with MIDNIGHT, WHAT YOU GONNA DO and in a lesser degree with this great one. Regards from Chile and keep up the good videojay work !

  • Is that your actual voice, and if so are you a dj?

  • @893160007 ---Yes,,,,,and....Yes :)

  • I remember this!

  • @lovedenoz It was released in Australia, it charted in January 1982 and spent 28 weeks in the top 100 singles chart but only got to #57

  • Good riddance :) I mean that. I want you to be happy, so that you and they, can leave me the alone. This was all your choice and your doing, now you will live with it. You will. I will make sure of that. I want this to be a life lesson to you from me, because I told you so, and you knew it anyway. You went ahead and did what you did, and now you WILL either deal with consequences, or enjoy what you have. Either way it WILL be without me. I have dealt with and accepted for a few years. It's over

  • great voice mike

  • Great tune, eh? I remnember this song, BIG TIME!!

  • Awesome tune!! 1981? I graduated the next year. Cool song, though!!! Good vibe!

  • ok, so this is the original album version of Gone, Gone, Gone which I thought was lost...i was only able to find it on the Greatest Hits album, until I saw this clip...i too posted a clip of this version of the song on youtube...

  • love this song

  • great format i love it! would love to have the words to practice for kareoke

  • On the outro I half expected Larry Lujack or Fred Winston to start backannouncing "Chiliwack Gone, Gone, Gone on the big 89, W-L-S!" lol

  • 17 years old in 81.Where has the time gone

  • @RCHUNTER69 Me too, graduated high school in May 81 when I was 17....

  • Love this song, been a fav since I was a kid and still to this day

  • wow..this is one that NEVER gets played anymore..and rarely will other people (USA) remember it..i DO remember this..i am 38..i was there..for the arrival of the EIGHTIES!! what great times growing up to songs like this..'81 '82, '83...those were great years for music ;-)..thanks! This is VERY hard to find these days..

  • This tune is entering Movies now... Too bad She's been gone, gone, gone so long!

     "Loved their Concert!!

  • I think this song is as known in Canada as much the national anthem itself thanks to Canadian content airplay rules. Huge song in Canada back in the day!

  • In Canada, they get played a lot, but it is a pretty good song.

  • MusicMike....you're in Ohio? I'm a Canuck in Ohio as well...Hudson/Streetsboro area.

  • @muskokan59 ---Nice area. I used to date a girl from Hudson......in 1976...Lol

  • @MusicMike2 My wife was born and raised in Hudson. In 1976 she was 25. Her name is Deby. What are the odds? lol..

  • @muskokan59 i was 12

    in 1981 82 i like the song

  • haven't heard this on the radio in quite a while.

  • Thanks for posting this lost tune!

  • I recall hearing this song through an earplug connected to my transistor radio while riding on a Greyhound bus on US 40 in either Delaware or Northeastern Maryland. I also recall hearing "Heart Like A Wheel" by the Steve Miller Band at the same time. And this may have been the weekend that I heard on the radio that Natalie Wood had died.

  • This is a different mix than what's on my CD

  • @mojorisen74 I think I have heard three different mixes of this song. One extends the intro, one chops the intro, and the other is this version.

  • "But Rarely Gets Much Airplay Anymore On Oldies Radio"

You must tell me where you are so I can come there and escape this song. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine song. But living in Canada, I've heard it a total of 2.135,330 times on oldies, rock, and adult contemporary stations, and I need not hear it again.

  • @brithgob ---- I believe you.....living in Canada.....but here in Ohio, we only get the same stack of 35 oldies...over and over again. I'm sure it's the same as where you live....just a different stack!!! I want real variety!

  • @MusicMike2 I can attest to that, as a native Ohioan now living in Ontario. Not a lot of variety with the stations down in my old stomping grounds, unless you called in a specific request (which the DJs loved and were appreciative of those who wanted to hear more than the standard playlist).

Anyway, thank you for posting this! You've got a beauty voice, really well suited for radio. Hope to hear from you on the airwaves the next time I'm back in the Buckeye State! Cheers.

  • This is a great song that really reminds me of my Jr High days.

  • have always LOVED Chilliwack! great song!!
