dude u talk aload of shit when u say "picking up where we left off", and i can prove u wrong in 3 ways. (1) the capacity of ure gun has rosen by 2 (even though u only had 1 power node and used it to upgrade ure damage. (2) the speech log u kept missing when going to the elevator like a 12 year old is gone (so u must of already took it another time), and (3) ure playing style is completely diffrent, so u must of rather already completed the game, completed the first level or had alot of practice.

So I continued it from the point where we left off. As for my lady, SHE had hardly seen any of it. I played the rest by myself prior to doing the rest of the videos. So for HER, it was totally new. She gets scared shitless throughout the whole thing. some of her reactions are truly priceless...

I've played Chapter 1 on Impossible just to try it, that's it. By that point I had just finished playing through the entire game a little over 2 times (once for myself, and again for the walkthrough) and had my fill of it. I'll probably try Impossible again at some point. Why would you think I'd lie about that? I'm no liar.

Dead Space is not only one of the scariest I, and many others, have played, it has a very interesting and mysterious story lines. I find myself driven to do something just so I can discover what happens at the end The graphics are amazing, in Chapter 2, Intensive Care, there is water leaking form the ceiling, if you were to stand under the water, the water really bounces off of you!

Dude, i completed this game like 6 times, 2times on normal and 4 on Impossible.. ANd it's still A M A Z I N G game... Breathtaking atmosphere, DEATH SCENES(one of my fav part of the game, whitch shows what's going to be if u will fail ;D), graphics and the other visuals, of course STORY also... Nice videos, u rock. There are more weapons but none better than the plasma cutter. The line gun and pulse rifle come in handy after you level them up but other than that, nothing beats the plasma cutter. The flamethrower and force gun are laughable. The giant cannon thing is too slow. The ripper is ok but only at mid range.

It wants you to look around corners and expect the unexpected. The creators want the people playing to have their hearts racing and be paranoid. It can either shoot in a horizontal or a vertical line. Usefulness depends on the enemy/body part you're aiming at eg. horizontal shots are better if you're aiming for the legs, verticals if you're trying to shoot down the arms. It's not always like this, but if you'll play it, you'll get the hang of it quickly.

It also comes quite specific to PC-controllers for everyone.

For example, myself I HATE symmetrical mice.

And I do NOT use a keyboard as a controller.

Just like the PS-controller is designed universally fit for most of the human hands, and I mean the thing feels great, people also need a good fitting mouse for example.

We actually have a Logitech wireless for our PS2 here, which is even better, fits almost exactly "like a glove".

I'm even not so fond of consoles in a way and prefer the PC for different reasons.

I think they're probably nice, people seem to like them.

And I HAVE held most PlatStation-controllers, so I could only comment on those.

About the aim, I enjoy these videos, but it's really annoying the heck out of me how the camera (thus aim) moves.

Because of the dumb analog-stick which either moves from slow to faster or really flying all around, making for a slow aim.

And I hate playing with it, at least for shooters like this.

Because of that it also makes it so much scarier, I'd feel a lot more confident with a mouse.

It's quicker and more direct, but you're working quite smoothly with it.

Still it shows the disadvantages.

But I was speaking in general, because for aiming (up-down-left-right in 3D) analog sticks are way slower and clumzier than a mouse.

I've had this discussion in my chat room on a few occasions, and I think what it really boils down to is personal preference.

Myself, I find my hands get sore and the mouse is often TOO responsive for FPS games and the like, so I prefer the slower response time of the controller (it's never hampered my game, really).

I like the freedom of being able to strafe, look around and shoot all with a few simple movements of the analog sticks. I find pulling off the same moves on a PC very awkward.

Oh yeah, it's not that you can not prefer to have a specific controller.

But, as you describe it it's pretty much the same principle; the left (keys) is the player's movement and the right (mouse) is the aim.

For as far the response goes, you can set the speeds as you like.

The high DPI-values are a joke, I use mine at about 800 and turn down the game's mouse-settings.

I like a smooth (even though direct and quick) movement too you know. :)

The biggest problem is the aim-stick, takes too long.

What do you mean? Like, how you know how much health you have left? It's the glowing bars on the back of your suit. You start off with four, but you can upgrade to a maximum of eight via the upgrade benches. The semi-circle thing is how much stasis energy you have.

For necramorph humans and crawlers I always shoot of legs first dibilating their movement, then I shoot of arms. My favorite weapon is defiantly the pulse rifle, good for all situations.

No, not at this point. The first 3 parts were my first time ever playing it, parts 4-6 were done because so many people enjoyed the first three and wanted to see more. These were actually filmed almost two weeks after the first 3, after I had finished the game nearly twice. I went back to where we left off at the end of Part 3 so the gameplay would be uninterrupted for those watching all the parts. So while I'm not as scared, Annetta IS. :) Plus you can see how my skills improved.

Hmmm...I actually found the armor kind of useless, it didn't really seem to make much difference. Upgrading the hit points via the bench, however, was VERY helpful! I'm sure those few extra health bars saved my ass on more than one occasion.

Some of the DLC armour makes one hell of a difference, I bought the Tank pack and it has 60% armour where as the highest in game is either 30 or 40% but for the cost its not really worth it.

Yes, you buy all the upper level suits from the store. But you UPGRADE your suit at the bench. You can only get more air and more hit points by upgrading via the bench. The higher level suits that you buy at the store give you more inventory space and a few extras armor points, but the bench upgrades carry over to each suit you buy.

Assuming you're playing the PS3 version,

Light beam map thingy - R3 (press the right analog stick down like a button)

Instant health - Square button (if you have health packs in your inventory, of course)

Those controls should both be listed in the instructions....

A question about the instant health. Does it automatically use the smallest health first or the first one available in your inventory? I just think that if you use a health pack to restore health only after losing one bar, and it used a big health pack that it would be a complete waste.

Well, I certainly HOPE I've improved given that I've actually finished the game between recording Part 3 and this one...hehehe. :) I'm actually about halfway through my second run at the moment.

Ah, playing it at night, aw sum! Btw if you connect to PSO you can get a free downloadable level 5 suit! Same with the box.

Actually, it was only free until October 28th. :(

But I downloaded it before the 28th. :D

You can get the Scorpion suit too, but it costs a few bucks. I like the look of the Obsidian suit better, but apparently the Scorpion suit has a bit more armor points.

It's all kind of a moot point anyway, since the Level 6 MILITARY SUIT kicks both their butts in stats. (I'm currently using that one for my second playthrough) And it kinda looks like a Stormtrooper outfit. :)

I can definitely see why people refer to this as Resident Evil in space.

Some similarities in gameplay, maybe, but I consider this a MUCH different game. Not to mention I didn't find any of the Resident Evils scary at all.
