He is, no doubt, a quality player.

He was doubles junior champ at last year's French-O and champ at Delray Beach in Feb beating Blake.

At this stage of his career, yes, he is showing ability to be a definite top 10.

However, to achieve it he has to stay injury free - he already had a minor problem earlier this year.

In many ways, eg the style, ability, early media attention, he reminds me of Marcos Baghdatis, whoes rank steep decline due to series of injuries.

Agassi hit the ball very flat with an eastern style grip. Nishikori uses a western grip & hits his groundstrokes with plenty of topspin!

So i don`t think Agassi & Nishikori play alike. If anything Nishikori`s play style is very similar to Ferrer (no slouch @ world #4) who he just beat in 5 sets. Though Kei`s jacknife forehand looks to become a bigger weapon than anything Ferrer has.

how is he overrated? No one said he will be the next great player. He admits himself he needs work on aspects to his game like his serve. Just to put that in perspective his max serves are around 120mph, players like Gulbis and Roddick have 2nd serves at that speed. Today John macenroe said he may be a top 20 player, but that is not being over rated. He is a very solid player from the baseline. It seems your dislike of the Japanese lead you to judge Kei
