The main gun on an Abrams is about that length. It's not really unrealistic.

@FreedomHigh4 actually the German Leopard2A6 and British Challanger 2 use a Gun with this lenght (L/55) and the M1A2 use A L/44 and look at the tank than you'll know what I mean (search for M216 Gun or Rheinmetall L/44 and than L30A1 or Rheinmetall L/55)

I know what Panzer means but it has NO relation to the germans nor their tanks and NO every side can have a Panzer Battalion! In America its just called Tank Platoon or if you like Tank Battalion! This is just a syntactic difference and nothing else. Today germany builds good tanks but they are one among dozens of nations that build good tanks and the current best nations for tank production in this order are without any doubt the US and then the UK.
