  • I word: ENTERBAY.

  • I would gladly wear a paper bag as long as I have the latest figure that captivates me. The appreciation I have for them is very solemn and personal, its a deep, almost child-like connection. I appreciate them everyday, scrutinize them, pose them and long to create my own movie-accurate dioramas (particularly of the Nostromo's interior for my Big Chap). If you feel this way about your figures give this comment a thumbs up and lets restore some of Blade's confidence in the collector community!

  • Excellent video!! I totally agree with your opinions in regards to different companies and the reasons for collecting. I have a decent size collection with figures ranging from $10 to $2000, and some of my less expensive pieces hold more meaning than the higher priced ones. There is no doubt that collecting is all about personal opinion and personal preference, no matter the price...it is definitely not about buying the most expensive pieces, with the intent to "brag" to other individuals.

  • Nice videos.

  • Great video the truth is all there. I have 6 hot toys and 2 lifesize pred masks and they are pro thx for the good advice and this gets a thumbs up cause dis is a great vid

  • i agree 100%

  • Excellent video. I mainly collect ALIEN stuff and I've bought Tsukuda, Medicom, Neca, Mcfarlane, and more. I buy what looks good to me. Why someone would want to cut themselves off a particular company who creates cool figures is beyond me. I never dreamed there would be figure snobs.

  • HT need at first a sculptor who know how the creature looks.

All the Predators from the past are very inaccuarte from the top to the botton !

    FACT !

Overall the proportions are ugly imo, like from a ten year old child

The face-sculpt is bad too, reminds me on a Owl, especially the closed mouth version.

The new classic have the same face-scuplt, just laughable for a such high price.

I mean where is the charisma of the Predator ?

  • @car85256 You might want to check out their newest announcement (I made a video for it). They'll be doing a 1/4 line for all of the movies and are even redoing their P2.

I guess I'm one of the people that can tolerate minor innaccuracies if it means getting a higher-quality figure. That doesn't mean I can't recognize the strengths of both companies, though.

  • great video man!

  • Thank you for that man ... You nailed it !!! I've been a collector of many , many things throughout my 32 yrs of life ... And thought it all I've based my passions on one simple rule : if you like it ... Buy it !

  • you mentioned there are coming more 1/4 scale preds; do you have further information when and what?

  • @PredatorGodPaya NECA is coming out with a 1/4-scale version of their Comic-Con exclusive "P1 with Gort Mask" this holiday season. Supposedly, it will include a slightly-reworked body sculpt (just some minor improvements) all of the hands from the original P1, plus the trophy skull and gripping hand.

As for completely-new 1/4-scale Predator figures, NECA still hasn't said anything.

  • @Blade3327 Well, they should keep things up if they wanna earn more money; cause I would spend more on those than on hot toys-over-expensive-figures-from-outta-space-of-wallet-bursting-dimensions

=P I'm asking because of this one picture you posted in your profile with that P2 1/4 scale ... but it seems that's a prototype which is going to shrink during sale ...

  • @PredatorGodPaya Those aren't 1/4-scale, they're 1/6. The two-ups are always 12" tall, then they're reduced to 7" for production. With the 1/4 NECA Predator, the two-up was enlarged and Kyle had an opportunity to go back and perfect the sculpt a little bit.

I'm with you and I want NECA to put out more huge Predator figures... but only if they can improve the netting. Their new 1/4 P1's paint apps were fine, it's just that netting that needs replacing.

  • @Blade3327 since I don't own a Hot Toys Figure, I cannot tell the difference in quality; is it the material you are complaining about? the neca ones got some sort of plastic netting ... could imagine the Hot Toys netting is of solid fabric or something. I just got a Masked Version 1/4 Pred and the only thing I could complain about is the tube from his left upperarm to his wrist computer; it came off during posing at the upper arm; probably was too short. I could fix it fast but well ... you know

  • @PredatorGodPaya Yep, Hot Toys uses fabric netting.

  • I Agree with this video 100%

  • I feel bad for asking this but when's your next vid

  • @sonicfan761 This weekend. :)

  • gotta say to you B. you've cost me a fistful of dollars since i saw your vids last wk, excellent job on the reviews kid, like you say, buy what you like when you like, as for the termites who are bagging you, gutless and jealous i reckon they are, anyways keep up the good work, gotta run, my 18month old grandson has just arrived

  • i got my first hottoys fig when i was in the 8th grade its was the dark knight batman

  • i agree with what you say in ur video i collect neca hasbro mattel SIDESHOW and any thing else that looks good oh yea and HOT TOYS i have so many figure most are still in boxes because i dont have display cases for them yet

BUT THE COLLECTING ON HOT TOYS AND SIDESHOW WILL BE SLOWING DOWN BECAUSE OF THE PRICE HIKE

  • Hey Blade, what you've said so far, totally true. Frankly I'm amazed why adults who can afford such expensive toys have to be so juvenile. Personally I don't care what company the product is from, if its an awesome product, it just is. Thanks for taking the time and putting up all your informative videos! Anyways what are your thoughts on the significant increases of prices in hot toys products?

  • @MrFreakZombie Hi, sorry for the late reply. Haven't been monitoring comments on this video as of late. To be honest, the price hikes probably won't stop most collectors. It's almost the same thing with HT's accuracy issues. Things aren't looking too good in that department either, but people will still buy because regardless of the pricepoint, their figures are of a significantly higher quality than anything else on the market.

  • My friend has a hot toy and it's amazing but I can't afford it so I buy NECA but I will cut back on spending like you say I want to get the dog ALIEN

  • I have to make a note here because I'm very interested in Predators and thanks to your reviews, I must say, the hobby grows. Blade you are a talent.

I'm aged 32 and a teacher-student and I'm quite awed by your talent and entusiasm. So...

If... you ever stop doing what you do in some way in the future and feel you don't have the time... DO tell us so that I at least don't have to wonder what... ever... happened to Blade?

    Magnus, Sweden.

  • @magnus79larsson Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. To tell you the truth, I feel I have to give credit to the people who got me hooked on this hobby. I was collecting lower-end pieces before, but after watching pitu23's incredibly enthusiastic videos, I had to make the jump. I just enjoy talking about these things with others who share the same interests. :)

  • @Blade3327

    Ok, I'll check into pitu23 too :-)

    Many thanks. Take care!

  • Would you include armored star wars figures hot toys or side show. I only got commander Cody and it has a hot toys log on the box.

Also my first hotoys I got in grade 9 also but it was lost pred

  • @itis121 Not really a Star Wars fan. I might pick up some of the military stuff in the future, but I've no plans of getting any of those right now.

  • Hey Blade! Thanks for you thoughts on this subject! I have to say i agree with you 100% !!! I always felt like you should collect what you like, it doesn't matter what it's worth to others as long as it's worth something to you! Hot toys and Neca are great company's and i like both, but i buy a product for the product it's self. Keep up the good work!!!

  • Thank you for your video blade! I think you are one of the best reviewers out there!!

You are very professional and i love your reviews!

Dont listen to those people who dosent understand what collecting is all about!

    Keep up your good work!

    And thanks again from sweden.

    A

  • Best thing you said is "I collect for myself". That's why I do it. And I collect quit a variety of things because they interest me. Limit your collection and you limit yourself. Resale only comes up when non-collectors question the cost of these figures; that's when I point out they go up in values after purchase.

  • Great video Blade, some really good points, looking forward to your predator reviews coming up.

  • Yeah I dont choose sides but I will say something.

    HOT TOYS FOREVER ; )

  • which as a dad myself i can tell ya these qualities deserve credit , so anyway the choice is yours my friend , if ya wanna carry on with this attitude do so coz i'll own ya big time and i roll with most of the reviewers you probably watch as an hot toys fan . or ya can sit and think to yourself "do i really want to be a prick all my life" then just say sorry for your negative views and disrespect to a fellow collector , and thank him for not tellin you to fuck off as quick as i would have :O)

  • very interesting video my friend i agree with you 100% and i've left the head of fan club (shastabar) some of thoughts below , catch ya later bruva :O)

  • I'm not saying u here but I'm Feed up with people think there no everything about this hobby I've been collecting for 4 years now but u cannot compare Hot Toys, Sideshow, Neca, McFarlane, Hasbro, let them do there own thing ok :) It's like if hot toys does a Superman let them do it if Neca do Superman let them it's no competing with each other oh we are the best company this and that :)

  • @derby1980toysfigure That's exactly what I'm trying to say. You can't compare HT with NECA so there's no reason to pit them against eachother. This guy, Shastabar, he's been worshipping one company and bashing the other, even though they're completely different and each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

This video isn't saying that HT and NECA are on the same playing field. It's saying instead that one is not better than the other because they're incomparable.

  • @derby1980toysfigure The key is to accept that they're different and collect whichever one you want (or both) without thinking it makes you better than someone else or getting in an argument about it. SSF has shown us time and time again that a battle between apples and oranges can't be won, especially when they have different upsides and downsides.

  • well said, ever since I got my original die cast metal Voltron, Ive been obsessed with collecting. i used try to only collect Star Wars figures, Marvel, or NECA. Now I just buy what speaks to me. I got the NECA 18" Predator. I love it. I also just pre ordered ,Cap America Hot Toys. Just buy what you like. great video man.

  • I'm sorry hear but opinions count sorry but I disagree with what your saying :(

  • Blade still got it! and hey, when does the Classic Pred arrive?

  • @blade3327fan Sideshow says November, but we'll have to see.

  • YOU SHOULD ONLY COLLECT BECAUSE YOU LIKE THE THING THAT YOUR BUYING. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT COMPANY OR HOW MUCH ITS WORTH, BUY IT BECAUSE YOU LIKE THE CHARACTER AND THINK IT LOOKS COOL! :D

    Great video Blade :)

  • funny thig is some dude posted this on neca's fb

Hey, NECA. If releasing the Predator 2 in 1/4-scale is too expensive because of the intricate head design, couldn't you at least put out just the masked version? If it's the only thing you can do, we'll gladly take it! Plus 99% of his iconic poses are with the helmet on, anyway.

  • @everymoss09 It's kind of a pity seeing these great-looking sculpts when they're shrunk down with 'meh' paint apps, and a lot of people would pay big money for a big P2 if you handled him as well as you did P1 (with better netting, of course).

  • @everymoss09 There's nothing elitist about nudging a company to do something they are capable of. It's not like people want them to become HT, of course. We're all just hoping they can continue on the path they've already chosen to start. And most of the collectors on SSF would agree, since there are threads of countless members crossing their fingers for a big P2 and it's actually a realistic expectation, judging by their P1's success.

  • Blade..watever happens we're all wif u bro :-) keep up wif ur awesome reviews..ur videos is always the first thing i watch when i go into Youtube....

  • Comment removed

  • You can please some of the people some of the time but you cant please all the people all the time. I agree with you and your always going to have trolls out there no matter what you say. There is a show I watch on YouTube and they think that Hot Toys is like collecting dolls. Me when I first saw a Hot Toys Collectibles it was something I always wanted since I was a kid. It was the detail in them that I wish I had back then in a toy. I only have a few and I love them.

  • 100% with you some collecters are a bit narrow mined like if you buy hot toys and then buy three A they jump on you saying why dont you like h t anymore and your going to the other side. I dont really care who made it if i like it ill try and buy it

  • bro...everything that you said is 100% true..im a huge fan of both neca and hot toys altough i've NO hot toys figures and almost ALL of my predator figures are from neca....i just love the way these 2 companies handle their figure...even tough both have their pros and cons...that is what figure collecting is all about..its all about appreciating :-)

  • What the Hell was up that dudes ass? Oh yeah... probably a NECA Lancer Replica. Maybe it was a HT Berserker figure. Possibly could have been his own head because I just read a lot of shit spewing from his feeble, enclosed, total self entitled mind. I fucking HATE those type of people. They are the reason we (humans) conflict all the time. It's not what you have... it's not who you are... it's the character and the ability to show that character to the world without being scorned or hated on.

  • @REYALSREIGN Yep. I just find it laughable how he thinks I need to have a mortage to know what I'm talking about when it comes to action figures. If I was unsuccessfully advising people on real estate or the Dow Jones, then maybe his comments would actually fit.

  • See this KID has no idea at all what he is talking about. He bables shit about not taking a side and then takes a side. Hot Toys aren't accurate is just a load of shit.

  • @Shastabar I'd recommend a fresh pair of glasses, then. I can't prescribe any, but a quick trip to Binyon's should do the trick.

  • @Shastabar Hold on a fuckin minute here did i miss sumat ...who the fuck died and made you king of the collectors community , i must of missed the e mail sayin theres a dirty little virus doing the rounds ...YOU ya prick . why the fuck does blade have to justify to you his thoughts , his amount of hot toys or neca , his age or how much he spends on collectables who the fuck are you ???

  • @Shastabar if ya dont like what he has to say fuck off and watch someone elses video , i'm sure he didnt send ya an invite to just pop and act like a arse bandit , so you came on your own accord so do use all a favour and get back on the horse ya rode in on and fuck off into the sunset billy the fuckin retard . and another thing is what the fuck do you bring to the table???? ive just been to your channel and its as empty as your head , this lads puttin the work in on his reviews...

  • @Shastabar and you just there with your ballbag in one hand , and the other hand middle fingerin your own rectum and tastin it and askin blade to justify his thoughts , well i say fuck that you should just be a good little boy and thank him for his video , and if your wondering who the fuck i am and why i'm gettin involved i'll just say i'm gettin involved because every point you tried to make in your feeble statments on blades tracker video i represent......

  • @Shastabar i'm an adult , i make good money and i've got more hot toys figures than you've got brain cells , but i'd never ask a fellow collector to justify how he pays for his figures or which he prefers , and i actually contribute to this community , unlike you . and if you are an adult give the lad some credit , he's always very respectful in his reviews , well spoken and educated , saves for his own collectables , so he's not pissin his money away or puttin it up his nose ....

  • Why dont review your MOTU collection? I agree, this HOt Toys, Neca, Takara, etc are art? I started off collecting Neca and McFarlane back in the day.

  • @Bloodsport1 I thought about it, but they're mostly the main older releases, so it's not too current.

I might review them in the future, though.

  • Makes me wonder how old some of you trolls are. You pointed out that Blade is a kid living with his parents and therefore shouldn't talk as if he knows everything. Well, he is not; he's talking about collecting and not about cars and mortgages and all that stuff. Why do you use that example? Makes me think either your in your 20s and think your so much more mature than Blade, or even worse, your in your 30s and still picking an internet fight with a teenager.

  • @Shastabar the fuck you care what he collects and how he does it , He does things his way and if you don't like it don't watch it , its simple .

  • you're right B. some jealous people just sit in front of their computers and pretend to be model citizens like that fuckin troll. These trolls have to bitch on others to make their pathetic life seem better . You know what they aren't any better . I bet you this troll is like a 40 year old virgin with nothing better to do , let that looser make a fool of himself .

  • @Shastabar I saw the title to the video mentioning "greed, elitist mentalities..."etc. Then the video goes on and on about the finer details of paint applications and sculpts, etc. Nothing at all in there about real greed or elitist mentalities except as it applies to collecting. There is a world out there beyond action figures. And the idea that an inexpensive collection is just as rewarding as an expensive one is just rubbish. This is a very awkward video maybe one day he will realize why

  • @sketchyj It's not an inexpensive collection. I'm just not as big a fan of busts and maquettes as I am of action figures, but as far as those action figures go, I do buy the high-end ones.

The 'greed and elitist mentalities' thing is based on Shastabar, since he's blowing a hobby out of proportion and the only way he can measure his schlong is by trolling other people's videos about how they stay on the cheap side when they in fact don't.

If money is all you have to gain, why collect?

  • @Blade3327 at the risk of sounding like a greedy elitist I have to disagree. You're not as big a fan of busts and maquettes as you are of action figures? Really? And you expect me to believe that? Now I'm laughing. Sure, dude, you could have all the busts and maquettes out there but you love action figures so much that you stick to collecting the "high end" of action figures. Oh god I'm LMFAO

  • @sketchyj Seriously, it's a matter of taste. I'm being honest, I just prefer figures since they're poseable and the accessories are nice. I'm sorry it's hard to believe someone would want figures instead of busts, but it's true.

I am selling my HT Aliens to get into the Sideshow statues though, but only because those better-represent the characters in terms of sculpt. A new HT figure is almost as much as a LSB or maquette, but I like the figs a little more at the moment. That's just me.

  • @sketchyj I just re-read your comment and um... of course I'm discussing greed or elitist mentalities *as they apply to collecting*. That's the point. My channel is about collectible reviews. This video isn't meant to be applied to real life. All of my subscribers and fellow collectors are aware of this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your comment about silver strikes me as a little out of place.

Seems like you came in expecting something else. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @Blade3327 That is one of the reasons I watch so many collectors videos on youtube, because they are so in their own world, so one dimensional, so over the top nerdy. But after a while it gets boring. Nobody is looking to see you or your comments or hear what you have to say. If anything it's to get a glance at a product they may be considering purchasing. You don't have a brain or anything to say and you think it's ok because you see everyone else just like you

  • Comment removed

  • we are now headed further into worldwide economic collapse. I bought silver bullion bars a few weeks ago and have already made 10 percent on my investment. Silver is expected to triple over the next few months and gold will double. Google the price of silver 10 years. I think you would be happier with one predator bust or Alien maquette than a bunch of action figures personally. It's not about the status of it, the better pieces are worth the money

  • @sketchyj True, with each piece, you get what you pay for. HT costs $200 for a reason and the same applies to NECA's $15 items. This video isn't a slam towards people who are willing to spend money for better items. You're completely justified and I agree with you: it isn't about the status.

Unfortunately, there are people who believe it is and that's not what collecting is about (whether it's figures, statues, busts, etc.). This video is for them.

  • Like some little biotch whining on a Ferrari site about how much they cost and how they just aren't good enough. But he's never driven in a luxury car and if he did he would that one car is what it's all about. Kids don't know shit about shit and videos like Blade proves it. He just looks so AWKWARD and goofy in hid videos. He can't even think of the most basic terms to describe things.

  • Like the image on the box is from the movie and not the product. lol I think most of his little writing spiels are just cut and paste jobs designed to make him look more intelligent than he actually is. He gets off on trying to get people think his more mature and worldly than he is. We love it it's so funny watching and reading his dumb dumb rants. He talks about stuff that he couldn't possibly have any experience in.

  • Neca is for little girly boys and men that can't afford the real stuff. just got to sideshow Freaks and laugh at Blade and his girly friends talk it up. Broke ass toy boys. Man do we laugh. And all the weirdo shit he talks about Hot Toys and other high end stuff like he can afford any of it. But he comment because he wants people to believe he's in the groove with the best of them. Creepy crawling around people that know their shit whit his school boy mentality. It's funny as hell. lol

  • @Shastabar Who's "we", bro?

By the way, skip to 10:27. I spelled it out for you, since you can't seem to add up the numbers yourself. See how considerate I am? :)

  • @Shastabar you are a strange one. Blade is probably the most mature young guys I've seen on SSF. He's not biased and just gives honest to good thoughts about these collectibles. Not sure what is wrong with you.

  • Great Vailid points man , See i use to collect Neca 7 inch figs then i upgraded to Hot Toys , and i never looked back . But i do still have the NECA 1/4 Predator 1's , i will never buy 7 inch figs again , I agree with you about Neca's accuracy , and hot toys paint aps . Great video man , BTW its Mr. EcKo from the FREAKS

  • @mikeecko1980 Hey, EcKo! Yeah, the 7" stuff has been pretty iffy. I'll admit, if the Lost Predators come out looking good (but they really have to look good), I might get them. Otherwise, I'm steering clear until they release an Elder or P2 in 1/4.

  • amen! i can look at every figure in my collection and know i bought it because i love the character/movie. i've seen people review figures and know nothing about the character which tells me they impulse buy. if you are a collector that is just in it to flash around your financial status then this is the wrong hobby for you. It's like you said, when you finally have the money for that one figure you've been after its so rewarding.

  • Great vid buddy! Some very valid points and I totally agree with your opinion.

  • Great video man!

I totally agree with you 100%. You bought up great points.

Some people should just get a life and stop trolling.

  • I agree with you 100% , the character is important and if the figure looks good who cares who made it . We all work hard for our money so buy what you like . Some people are drama queens no matter what so we shouldn't pay attention to them .

  • never agreed with u more man if u wanna collect collect because u like it dont collect just to try to get money outta it i collect the kenner alien and pred toy line figures very cheap yes will i ever get alotta money outta my collection no prob not but do i love it yes i do collect the things u love not the things that u think ur earn the biggest paycheck for

  • Well said my friend , well said . I totally agree . I myself will just buy the figures that i like and just because i like the look of them . and in some cases even if the related movie is below par . I am a huge batman fan so i will collect all the batman stuff that i can afford . all others like i said i buy because they are cool looking . love your reviews....Peace...

  • Your right. Collect what has interest to you.

  • to me there is not vs between neca and hot toys, each company has something the other company doesnt have. neca accuracy, hot toys better quality.

stop bitching. i am a "high" end collector but when i go to a store like toys r us and get fond of a 3 intch star wars figure and i have the money i pick it up and just have fun with the whole collecting thing. even if the collectible costs less than a dollar. + 1 to your vid dude !

  • @romas1995 Exactly! It's amazing how many great pieces people are missing out. Opening up to other manufacturers really expands a collection, and there's some cool stuff out there.
