  • hi dude, I count and counted your sr20ve vid 0-60mph, its about 7 seconds. Actually I had a sr20de and had 272cams n also did 7seconds. I guess for 0-60mph sr20de and sr20ve almost the same, perhaps the difference is when 60-120mph sr20ve will shine with higher hp available. Cheers

  • @kendconcerto depends, check my pro my stock ve does 0-60 in high 6s

  • hey guys i beat a ve with i/h/e ecu and bfgoodrich....all i had was a jdm sr20 with a jwt pop charger....i'm not lying about this too...not just that i had a slipping clutch...i recently went to time my car and i clocked a 15.2 and mph was 87.7 i think and my 60ft was 1.8 sec. i'm not kidding either i have videos to prove all this, just that i'm not the one with the videos my buddy has it. i'm not trying to talk trash but i keep having second thoughts of getting a ve..don't know anymore.

  • Sounds fucking sweet man

  • bet you would of hit better if yah wasnt carrying so much wait (GAS)!! lol

    GOOD STUFF THO!!

  • lol my DE is the exact same as this...

  • @getignited114 you wish ur de was that fast ha de are so slow compared to ve

  • @marth21 Lol funny funny, a bolt-on DE would have the same hp as a stock VE and possibly a little more, I have a i/h/e b13 plus a little bit of other random mods and I'm pretty damn sure I could take a VE...

  • @getignited114 omfg yeah right you wouldnt not ...my friend has a de with i/h/e its a high comp redtop with uk cams ported head and chipped ecu he can t keep up and all i got is i/h/e i take him by at least 3 or 4 cars which is a big diff so do some research before you talk shit especially if have never driven a ve

  • @getignited114 omg no you would not lol my friend has a high comp redtop de with uk cams, ported head and mani. i/h/e and chipped ecu all i got is i/h/e and i woop him by 3 or 4 cars i doubt you have even close to that setup so before you talk shit do some research there is NO way you can beat a ve in a de unless the ve's driver doesnt know what he is doing

  • @marth21 I just told you my set up lol and it's funny that you're not reading what I said. A bolt-on DE vs a stock VE. I have a cold air intake w/ K&n filter, pacesetter header, catback exhaust, short shifter, stage 3 clutch and some other little tweaks.. again, vs a STOCK VE

  • i actually beat a ve with my stock de and he had i/h/e bfg tires and ecu claiming to be tune for 16ve cams but didn't install the cams when he raced me,i was just wondering if he had a sickly ve that isnt fast. this makes me not want to get a ve...what do you think, should i still get a ve? and when i raced him all i had was a jwt popcharger and some b14 rims with neo gens and i know that he should have out launched me. i was actually scared to race him. he also had my friend in his car.

  • 0:05 POWER VVL

  • vvl supposed to kick harder than tat..sumthing wrong...

  • i think something is not working goo on that VE mines hit 95MPH in 3rd with stock b13 gearbox and completely stock VE no pulley, no light flywheel...just... something is wrong

  • @joelosr20 not really...depens on wat rims and tires this guy is running, and flywheel dont make any diff in top speed of a gear

  • dude . im not hating . im just saying to check your engine cuz theres something wrong.. seriously .

  • isnt VE.. if it is really a VE ... theres something wrong . check your compresion .

  • do you not hear the vvl engage?

  • nope . my VE pulls harder .

  • i hear it . but my VE pulls harder .

  • @michael9196 your ve pulls harder because you have sr16 cams moron that makes a big diff

  • @marth21 the difference cant be that big.

  • @drzflyest4 it kicked in at 5500 right??

  • Damn dawhitexatsle where can i get some of that haterade you been drinkin? lol

  • you swapped TO this? ... looks like it was a waste of money

  • @dawhitecastle hahaha i bet you have a de right? or a honda lol vvl hits 13's with turbo 10's trust me i have one i hit 13.6 on azenis my homie hit 10s with stock bottom end and 8 psi def not slow

  • ser 20de

  • is this a stock sr20ve?

  • 6.9 0-60, 17.2 0-100

    nice....

  • is this a stock sr20ve swapped?

  • hmmm is sr20ve better than sr20de??

  • Way better. It has Neo VVL.

  • well my friend say sr20de is good for low to mid and neo VVL is good from mid to high

  • Yeah, I guess I didn't look at it that way.

  • yea i guess each classification are unique on thier way..

  • VE has more low down torque than DE. VE is ideal in most circumstances because of the different CAM profiles. Starts off strong down low, the cams lift, and then its strong up high. The only way a DE can compete is with modified cams. But really it depends on the application, in a race car DE is probably better as you modify the cams to suit your driving. In a road car, VE is better because of the variable cams.

  • wow thanks for the info

  • DE is good for low end torque, and engine better than that is a QG18DE which is nearly identical. SR20VE hits power at about 4.500RPM,,, if you come across a Neo VVL they have a double valve cross over which is wicked for pull and power!

  • VE has much much more torque then a DE all round

  • yeah deffo, DE has got variable valve and lift, but VE is like you say a better engine

  • it isn't way better for the simple fact that you can buy a SR20DET for cheaper then a sr20ve and it is way easier to install. I have had both and I wasn't that impressed with the Neo. which is why I went back to a DET. The only thing I did like though was the sound of VVL kickin in it was so damn sexy.

  • try a SR20VET :-) get one from an Xtrail GT

  • I had plans on turbocharging it but i traded it for a b13 sr20det with a cleaner body then mine

  • I have a stock SR20VE in my pulsar and im keeping up with the GTI-Rs :) Its more fun to kick a hairdryer when your non turbo :) understand that its cheaper but still a non turbo neo engine, sooo much fun

  • It was fun and they are GREAT motors but I liked the sr20det more and when i traded the b13 with the sr20det had a nicer body and better paint

  • I'm calling you out on this...that's absolute bullshit. Maybe from a roll race but who really care for those

  • they have there own uses, power wise VE is better, its lighter as well, cast alloy, DE is cast iron.

  • I counted mid to upper 6's for the 0-60 WITH the crappy traction. +1

  • what kind of engine is this?

  • SR20VE my friend.

  • Got the SR20VE in my N14 the other day... Wow very impressed!

  • very fast car !

  • It looks interesting here, SR20VE is very impressive INDEED!... Im curious... I'm getting this engine put str8 into my Nissan Pulsar GTI 1990 N14... Whats the gear ratios going to be like in my if i sit at 3,750 RPM at 100KMh! does this mean im going to be shifting very fast all the time if i want speed? HELP!!!

  • Oh and thats 5th gear BTW

  • no mames te la comes los alcanza bien rapido

  • i see...0-60 in 6.X sec...tas fast for a N/A

  • What's the redline on that VE?

  • ive seen some with a redline of 11000 im serious

  • yes what he says is true some do come with 11krpm .. but if your not makin gpower through that revolution why take it up there for .. stay in ur power range.. or whatever your cams/aftermarket cams are set for .. unless you have some monster cams :)

  • that is true...im 100% with you there

  • Amazing display of the VE

  • love it

  • that's unlike any B13 dash i've seen. In my country we get JDMs and none have a digital display on them.

  • It's a stock se-r cluster.

  • Real nice, pulls great. Like the exhaust note.

  • The VE engine is easily the most under-rated V6 Nissan has ever produced.

  • Um...That's not a V6, it's an inline four cylinder, using same block as SR20DE.

  • Ah, I see my error. The author of this video needs to edit the title to SR20VE. I was thinking he was running a VE30DE.

  • Ah, You were thinking of the VG30DE

  • are you on sr20 forums?.

  • Yeah, I am. Chronic_werewol (meant to spell werewolf when I created my profile).

  • ohh ok

  • vtec killer!

  • muy lento

  • Proud to be a VE owner :)

  • sorry if this is a noob question but is it the ve30de engine?

  • its an SR20VE

  • ok thanks

  • ^^^cuz he dont wanna fuck it up lol!!

  • Why were you shifting at 7500 with a ve?

  • Gotta love VE's in the B13's

was it an SR16? or 20VE?

  • nice vid man...
