  • I hope they're rich

  • "Judge not, lest ye be judged"......"No man knweth another mans heart" I'm all good with MY God !!

  • The Bible says that a workman is worthy of his hire...........if you don't want them to get paid then don't hire them. Plenty of other ministries will and do.

  • the hoppers are cool

  • This is an awesome song and always blesses my heart. I love the Hoppers, I have bought tickets to them and other southern gospel groups, I believe it wa Jesus who said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." This is not only how they make their living, but their ministry as well. No one knows hoew many people are blessed and helped not only through their music, but by them on a personal level. If you don't like what they do, do not pay to see them.

  • People who complain about what other people make for a living are just jealous. They earn every penny & you should be happy for them. And at they get to do something they love & spread the gospel & I am sure its not always easy.

  • THIS FAMILY IS ANOINTED AND BLESSED OF GOD,BECAUSE THEY STEPPED OUT AND LIVE THERE LIFE TO SING AND TEACH ABOUT JESUS,HOW CAN ANYONE SPEAK BAD OF THIS FAMILY FOR DOING THE WORK OF GOD AND NOT BEING ASHAMED OF IT..... I LOVE THE HOPPERS............

  • All these negative comments need to stop now you guys are jealous, shut up if you don't have any good thing to say. If you don't want to listen turn something else that is useful for you.

  • Oh why do people attack ministry? This is the only way to reach the hurting sometimes, is through music!!

  • SOME OF THE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS GROUP ON HERE MAKE ME SICK TO READ....THE BIBLE SAYS NOT TO TOUCH THE ANOINTED AND THIS FAMILY IS VERY ANOINTED AND BLESSED OF GOD,SO I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL TO SPEAK BAD OF THEM...

  • You can sing christian songs and get paid for doing that! There isn't one thing wrong with that! God has blessed them with beautiful voices , and there is nothing wrong with them getting paid to do this. they have to make a living like anyone else and for you you act like it's wrong ,because it's christian songs, has NOTHING to do with it!! Gob Bless the Hoppers and hoover4000 for putting all these great songs on YouTube

  • There are a great many talented people out there who's voices have turned many away from suicide, from a faithless existence... May we all do as much as these blessed workmen of the Lord. May the Lord make such workmen of us all. God bless you for such wonderful and blessed music! When you're down, I believe God reaches out to us all through such inspirational and brilliant lights in this world.

  • Give the complaining a rest and enjoy the music.

  • I would just like to say that several yrs ago The Hoppers were coming to our little town to sing and Connie Hopper called and said they did ask for 500 to cover expenses but God had laid it on her heart to come for nothing, We had taken a offering to give them but she would not take itand we had a wonderful glorious meeting that night! I dont know how many accepted Christ and turned their lives over to God. Sometimes we just want to tell the bad things but not the good things about people!!

  • I can, I sure can. It was this kind of thinking that killed the Son of God! How could He say before Abraham was I AM!..Does their pastor preach for free? Like you said Luke do they go to work for nothing? Maybe these kind think work is a four letter word. I can fix that right fast..try WORKING for the Lord.Remember the workman is WORTHY of their hire. OOOps did the bible say that?

  • Beautiful song and such a blessing. God has given them a wonderful voice and I am thankful they use it for the uplifting of His Kingdom.

  • lmao

  • I LOVE THESE SINGERS...THE HOPPERS YOU ROCK.....

  • Wonderful and amazing Song !!!!

  • These people know what they're singing. The annointing is all over their songs. What is so great is that God knows the heart of man and it is Him who will call us home. If we left how many would make heaven to man, NO ONE would qualify. God's love and His blood makes all the difference. Keep singing, Hoppers...It is worth it all!!!

  • that was so cool and i wish that i could see a real live performance in my island

not to say but a bit of advice

keep on singing for CHRIST for in that way it could change a individual life

and for those who comment about them just look at ur self first and then u can judge

if they will do it for free then u must do ur daily job for free as well so

    just stop and think wise

this guys have some family to take good care of just the same as u

so dont offend them for they do the right thing !!

  • You people are unbelievable!! The Hoppers are my favorite gospel group and you guys are just bashing them. That says where your hearts are. They're not in it for the money. Do the research!

  • THE LORD SAYS THAT WE SHALL EAT FOOD FROM THE SWEAT OF OUR BROWS THE HOPPERS SING AS THEIR JOB AND IN IT THERE IS A MESSAGE FOR OTHERS TO SERVE GOD...THEY HAVE NO OTHER JOB THAN THIS SO MUST BE PAID SO THAT THEY CAN BE ABLE TO SPREAD THE WORD OF GOD THROUGH MUSIC...LET THEM BE THEY ARE THE LORD'S ANOINTED

  • 3 people are athiests

  • my grandpa kept listening to this song over and over like two days ago and he died yesterday

  • @slschreck123 Voce acha que ele morreu por causa disto, emoção ou coisa assim? que pena.

  • my grandpa was listening to this three days ago like ten times in a row n he died two days ago :....(

  • Beautiful song with a great message by a very gifted family. Ya know that's true. They should all be living under a bridge somewhere or in a cave maybe, just like I'm sure the kiltedman & therealbuffcom do. C'mon & grow up. Guess ALL the preachers from Billy Graham on down to local ones should stand on corners begging when they are off the pulpit. God gave them gifts & they're fortunate to can serve God while making a living. A bargain when you think of how many souls they help lead to Him.

  • Let me just say this, I have paid to see the Hoppers and I have seen many others. I am also a traveling Southern Gospel Singer. They are great Christian People! So for those who have thoughts about how Gospel Singers are not Christian for Charging for Tickets or their CD's etc....You need to go back to church and rethink alot of things!

  • I think God calls each one of us to do his work-it may be singing, preaching, even being a nurse or teacher and God provides-sometimes it is through a paycheck. I think the Hoppers are great-they don't have a weekly paycheck or any guarantee, therefore, they depend upon doing concerts and selling cd's. The Hopper Brothers and Connie, as they were called, have been singing and praising the Lord since the '60's! (Is it wrong for your pastor to get a salary, health insurance, etc)

  • If you can listen to this and not recive a blessing, I am so sorry for you.

  • Imitation Goodmans...

  • @souleverici Some one has to keep The Goodmans Legacy going, I beleive that the Hoppers do a great job honoring those who paved the way for them. Vestal would be pleased to know that people are still singing her songs!

  • good singing . I love to hear the Hoppers

  • What a testimony, thank you Lord Jesus.

  • I saw The Hoppers perform this song in Toronto, Canada for this video and it is just beautiful.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!

  • LOVE THIS AM LEARNING TO SING IT WITH MY FAMILY!!! :)

  • this is my first time on here .im a christian oh my how it makes me feel so good to listen to this music, lefts me up when im down .praise GOD we have people singing GODS word. and GOD said do my work and i will reward you for it.

  • I find it most interesting that there are always those individuals who stand back and throw stones at people who serve the Lord and have never done them any harm. (Can you say "jealous"? Can you say "judgmental"?) The Hoppers have ministered like this for years when they barely made enough money to get to the next town. They love the Lord and they minister His grace and love to millions of Believers who know their true spirit. It is the heart that matters. The Hoppers have a true heart for God.

  • this video is my testimony when i got clean and sober it is my testimony i'v come to far to look back by the grace of God i'll be sober 7 years nov. this song tells me i'v come to far to look back

    miami cindy

  • The Hoppers CD The Ride has been in my player fro 4 months and it continues to bless me every day.Listening to the lyrics is like the word of God being preached.

  • This is one of the best songs by the Hoppers and one of the most truthful songs.

  • My husband has fought appendix, colon and liver cancer this past year..and this is a marvelous song we live by...sooo inspiration!

  • hey i was just wondering (i absolutely love this song btw) who else sings this? theres a group tht sings it just guy and girl and i cant for the life of me remember who they are. well thanks for posting this. this song makes me cry like a baby. oh, kudos to you for the previous post :) hehehe

  • THIS SONG HAS GIVEN SO MANY HOPE THRU THE YRS N STILL DOES THIS DAY STILL.

  • Sing it Connie!! This is one of your best songs. Hoppers family keep it up & may God richly bless you. I heard your testimony how God guided you through cancer. I'm also a cancer survivor & thank God with His touch I also survived. We have come too far to look back.

  • the hoppers do not chsrge for tickets, they accept love offerings...been to their concernts....

  • I could listen to Connie sing all day long!

  • I can't wait to go HOME!!!

  • @dyaish me either...

  • I think this song is a great testimony song to anyone who walked in the world before finding a love in the precious saviour

  • Last Sunday, while my Pastor was preaching, He spoke a line of a verse of scripture that spoke of "desert places" It "jogged my mind of this song".While listening I was taken back to a little storefront church in Arlington Texas. A great little church from my life so many years ago and a Sister named Lois Bunch. She would play the piano and sing this song and Tears and Shouts would flood the entire Sanctuary! I thank you for a memory of at least 30 years past...God Bless You...Brother BigSam

  • The hoppers can sing this beautiful song keep the good work up for the Lord the devil can't not stand it..Amen

  • A valid point Realbuffcom. Isn't this tantamount to making a trade of the word of God? I find this a stumbling block. If this is their "ministry" it is a far cry from that of Paul who preached Jesus Christ and Him crucified - one who had nowhere to lay His head. Show Me the tribute money - He didn't even possess a penny! Friendship with the world is enmity with God - what a pity Sonya has turned to secular music. Satan tempts us as an angel of light - all of us - until we lose sight of Him!

  • number one, what does Sonya have to do with the hoppers? she did not turn to secular music anyways she's still singing gospel.

also, to expect someone to travel all around the globe and call them a sinner for accepting a penny is not very fair. do you realize how much money it must cost?

Do you work? do you accept a paycheck for your work? why don't we discuss that? Oh, my mistake, that's entirely different right? I apologize. pshh.

  • Amen tell them God help the ones that judge others,,

  • @TheKiltedMan Paul was a tent builder, and the Christian at that time provided them with food and clothing, just as we provide for our Pastors today. Read about the master who gave his servants talents.I don't know you but from my experience people who think like you apparently do have a serious issue with jealousy.

  • @TheKiltedMan JUDGE LEST THOU BE JUDGED

  • @TheKiltedMan Paul said "The laborer is worthy of his hire" he accepted whatever met his needs, like has already been said it costs money to travel from place to place all over to sing Gods Praises.

"I find this a stumbling block." many do, sadly they are the same ones looking for one.

If we give up, give in or fail we only have ourselves to blame, the "scapegoat" died with Christ when Grace was born.

  • @TheKiltedMan The Bible plainly states that the servant is worthy of his hire. To preach the Gospel, these people have to eat. Trust me, as a person who has traveled singing the Gospel, if you want to get rich, singing the Gospel is certainly not the way to go.

  • this is one of my favorites that the hoppers do.......beautiful message

  • this is the best

  • My older sis used to sing this song when I was young but I couldn`t understand the words fully! Now I can tell for sure that "IVE COME TOO FAR TO LOOK BACK AGAIN & THERE`S NOTHING BEHIND ME".... by knowing Jesus as my Saviour/Redeemer of my soul! AMEN

GOD BLESS THE HOPPERS AND THEIR MINISTRY ABUNDANTLY

  • OH HALLELUIAHHH JESUS, PRAISE GOD!! l

God bless your ministry .. Keep on gloryfying our Lord Jesus...Nicelade from New Zealand

  • Great group and great song! Thank you for putting up this song...it is so true about a life that has been through so much to get to where heaven is......God bless this group and let them keep praising God through their music....Thank you!!

  • this is a true statement on the way i fell what a song

  • i love this song it's my old life that has change for the best

  • Amen and Amen....Heaven bond!!!

  • I cannot believe people get on here and think they can make terrible comments about these christian singers and expect to travel the world and sing for free. I do not hear them complaining about the other worldly singers, that makes millions of dollars a year. How do they expect them to pay for gasoline or support their families, utilities, insurance, etc.? This is their job, just like we have our jobs and we expect to get paid for working at our jobs.

  • @luke6918 I agree. 1 Timothy 5:18 says the worker deserves his wages. I saw the Hopper Brother and Connie at my small church in the 1970s and I'm sure they didn't get a whole lot of money for that. Any financial gain they may have gotten along the way is less than they deserve.

  • Awesome song and singers! What dvd is this off of?

  • I totally agree with you! This song is so encouraging and sung by one of my favorite families in Southern Gospel! This is recorded on the Gaither Canadian Homecoming dvd, which was recorded in Toronto, Ontario at the Air Canada Centre... :)

    Blessings from Canada

    ~Helen~

  • This song is on the Gaither Canadian Homecoming dvd. Funny thing...I had asked Bill Gaither when they were going to do a Canadian Homecoming special about a year or so before they came to Canada and did 2. Toronto Homecoming and Canadian Homecoming (both are awesome, as all the Gaither music is!) He told me they were working on doing that as we were speaking. I have never met Bill Gaither...but did talk to him on Gaithernets chat room a long time ago. It was pretty cool and a blessing!

  • it's off one of the canada ones

  • WOW....... JUST..... WOW.....

  • WOW!! Thank you so much for posting this. This is one of the most annointed songs I have EVER heard any group sing. It is no mystery why the Hoppers have selected it and I am glad because they truly live according to their convictions which is the reason there is such power in their singing.

  • hi....thanks for posting this video, recently this fall my pastor at my church passed and this was the song her and a few ladies sang all the time, hearing this song encouraged me because the whole song is a great testimony of her life. God Bless You....

  • Amen I love Kim Hoppers Voice aye so strong yet humble...

  • LOVE IT

  • I do not know who wrote this song but W-H-A-T a powerful song; it blesses me over and over again each tyime I hear it no matter who sings it.

  • nancy harmon wrote this many years ago, its a classic in my humble opinion. claude hopper used to say the quickest way to make a small fortune in gospel music was to begin with a large fortune, lol.

  • When did it become a sin to accept payment for doing Gods work. The apostles were told to take nothing with them from town to town accepting room and food from individuals in the towns they went to. The Bible states in many places a person ministering for God should get paid. Is it better to pay to hear the gospel or pay to watch movies at a theatre. At least I know what the singers are doing with Gods Money. All things belong to God. Even "your" money

  • Love this song. Reminds me every time I hear it that there's no turning back!

I saw the Hoppers in person this past Sunday at my church (Abundant Life Church - Florence). They have the best spirit about them and in my heart will always be the most loved Gospel Group Family.

  • beautiful song -Such a shame that groups like the Hoppers sing for the Money and not Christ. I dont know how they can sleep at night charging for tickets to here them sing about salvation - THE THING IN THIS LIFE THAT IS THE MOST FREE. I pray for them - gospel muic should not be a business.

  • no offense but that's stupid logic. because they charge for tickets they aren't in it for Christ? and how are they supposed to make a living? turn pencil shreddings into money? they have families to feed. Because you accept a paycheck at work does that mean you are not a real Christian? Or cause your church takes an offering?

  • They arent in it for the money because if you talk to them they will talk to you like a real christian and also if you look the only reason they need money is to put gas in there bus and food to put in there mouths. Sure they have fancy homes but they sing for God and The love God just as much as all christians.

  • @hoover4000 thank you Hoover for clarity on the misconception that some ppl have on gospel singers...!!!! I love them and I thank GOD for their talents...!!! Life is all about balance....,spiritual,physical......so to speak.....!!! and we're commanded to reciprocate love.......,whether it be in singing or any other field we're to bless GOD's ppl with our resources so they can continue to spread the great gospel of CHRIST...!!!! i LOVE THE HOPPERS.....!!!! :)

  • Think about what you are saying. Do you think missionaries shouldn't go around and try to raise support so they can go preach salvation? Ministry involves money. How do you think they are going to fill their bus up or pay the bills? They have families to feed just like what the other person said. Why don't you pray that the Lord would bless them more so they could get a bigger offering.

  • you know....you are being as hypocritical as the world.. how do you expect the groups to go from place to place. i bet you are the same way in church..you must think the world owes you. i thank god for the hoppers.. you just need to find god & repent...

  • I'm sure the Hoppers sing for the Glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Him alone, and the money is their blessing. I will pray for the Lord to soften your heart my friend. Because they certainly have touched my heart and all those that listen to their worship. amen Thankyou Jesus.

  • I agree with hoover 4000. I have news for U The Hoppers do not sing for money. Have U ever stopped to think about how much their equipment cost and the expense it is to keep a bus on the road with the price of DISEL? I have heard these people in many of concert and they ARE Good Christians. I love to hear them sing. I am sorry that U feel the way that U do. God will bless them and hope that he blesses U also.

  • Tell me something. If you sang Gospel songs for a living aand that was all you did, how would you feed and clothe yourself? What kind of church do you go to??Get yourself a mike and if you're good enough we won't pay you, just say Amen and let it go at that.Dingbat!

  • @therealbuffcom I believe the Bible says the workman is worthy of his hire.. that means they should be payed, just as we pay pastors. Thy have a gift and they are using it to edify the church, from your comment I doubt you can say the same...did you buy your copy of the Bible or steal it?...just saying.

  • @therealbuffcom DO YOU KNOW THE ANOINTING?

THESES PEOPLE ARE ANOINTED. THEY ARE GODS CHILDREN.

  • @therealbuffcom so i guess you think we all should be poor or if we are not we cant make it to heaven well let me tell you this my bible tells me that i am a heir and a joint heir with christ and if hes walking on streets of gold and if god did not want us to nothing why did he put it in is work according to Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

  • @therealbuffcom seriously stop being judgmental. its people like you who make the world such a miserable place. all you do is complain. i love the hoppers and of course they would need money to fund everything. look in the mirror before u judge others.

  • @therealbuffcom Get real. Gospel Music is less about the money today than ever. They have to charge to pay for the Venue and the Bus rental. Read Bill Gaither's Two Autobiographies He explains how the charges are used not for selfish gain but to support the ministry. I find it highly offinsive that you who claim to be a Christian would attack God's messengers. Shame!

  • @therealbuffcom its the same as working for your employer and knowing you will receive a pay check at the end of the day.....in addition, if you complaining about The Hoppers charging a fee to watch them sing gospel music then what about the fees that are charged for you to watching a rugby, or football game...its about the same but these people bring songs that have a message of Salvation to us....

  • @therealbuffcom I have seen them many times and the most I have ever paid to hear them was like $10 and the last time I saw them, it was free. They are always open to leading others to Christ and have seen them do it. When you invite an evangelist to preach a revival at your church you pay them don't you? There is no difference. It costs them between $1400-$2000 per month just to fill the bus with gas.

  • What an awesome song!! Seems like I remember hearing it when I was a kid. The message has only gotten better with time...

  • I love Connie's voice. She doesn't solo often enough.

  • you just do not get any better than the Hoppers love them ,and what a blessing they truly have been to us all.

  • I am one of the truly thankful ones to have some of the Hoppers as neighbors & to have them as members of our church.

    God bless them always!

  • hey there, I'm Hopperfan4ever,i would very much like to be friends. I'm so truly thankful for our God for introducing the Hoppers to me, they have been a big moral booster, and through their music I have re-began my life in Christ.I love him so and depend on him to lead me. I would fill honored to have your as a friend. thkx alot, your friend, hopperfan4ever

  • What a song and what a message of hope, strength and assurance. I remember well when the famous LeFevres introduced this song to gospel music back in the mid 70s. The Hoppers do it justice also. Thanks for a great song! MoJoPiano

  • Another fabulous song! These guys are fantastic! Do you happen to have "Steppin' On the Clouds" too? :)

  • this a great song it fits the way i felt along time ago

  • What a fabulous voice and such a message... You have come too far to lose it! Praise God for these dedicated and wonderful messengers of the Lords word through music.

  • This is such a wonderful uplifting song.

  • THIS GIVES ME CHILL- SO TOUCHING

  • hey hoover you have greater vision God's got a bigger thing going on?

  • Thanks for sending this to me. Praise God! It's always nice to meet a fellow believer.
