The #1 riff of iron maiden and of any band ever, no contest (and I am not even a big iron maiden fan. The riff just kicks fucking ass) is, without a doubt the one in the trooper and that fact that this is not on here is heresy! You shall burn forever for this sin.

The violin string quartet version of the trooper is so kick ass. God, how is that not on here as #1, or even on the list at all?

I love the riff in Rainmaker it is one of my all time favorite riffs ever by Iron Maiden. I was hoping it would be in this list. This is a sweet list i agree with almost every one of them

thats a pretty nice list you got there, except neither moonchild nor SSOASS should be so high on the list. Also, the riff from Fear of the Dark is awesome (the heavy one, not the intro riff), and Be Quick or Be Dead has a badass riff as well. I also think Futureal and/or Sign of the Cross could've made that list. Hell, both Flash of the Blade and Poweslave have better riffs that Ghost of the Navigator. Just constructive criticism though, the list is still pretty accurate.
