  • I have aspergers syndrome

  • Wow, this explains a lot for me. My boyfriend was diagnosed with aspergers syndrom and he always gets chronic migrains whenever there are loud noises. For the longest time I thought he was making it up but then I saw how much pain it would put him in, I cant believe I didnt put two and two together before this

  • ASPERGERS IS NNNNOOOOTTTT A FORM OF AUTISM!!!!!! IT IS ON THE SPECTRUM BECAUSE THEY SHARE BASIC SIMILARITIES. BEING ON THE SAME SPECTRUM DOESN'T MEAN IF YOU HAVE ASPERGERS THAT YOU HAVE AUTISM! PLEASE STOP SAYING ASPIES HAVE AUTISM, THEY DON'T AND IT'S VERY OFFENSIVE!!!

  • @1122ares Being an Aspie myself, I'm proud to say that I'm autistic. It's not offensive. It's the way we are. We're on the spectrum. We're autistic. We're just further down the line. It's not a bad thing. Embrace it.

  • haha, The doctors tried to diagnose me with aspergers and I was like, WHAT?

but it wasn't that bad, however the more I study it, the more it seems I do..

and I agree with her, plus she seems nice :D

  • Aspergers is a pointless label used to make people money who take advantage of this type of person by labeling them pointlessly

  • @xpallodoc make money how?

  • @xpallodoc How do we Aspies make money off of being who we are?

  • Well said

  • Robyn Steward, You are a completely normal person. Aspergers is not a syndrome or a condition its called having personality.

  • She speaks well.

  • Asperger's is only placed in the Autistic area because scientists don't really know how else to classify it. I have it, my parents caught it really early and were very good about helping me; I was diagnosed at 8, but noticed weird stuff when I was two or three. It took a couple of years to find some medications to help me, but coupled with my willingness to try and fit in and not be socially awkward helped me a lot in the long run. In some cases, Asperger's can help someone if (continued...)

  • I've been officially diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome but I have no problem making friends, having conversations or any of its other symptoms. It's amazing what a strongly opinionated parent can get a doctor to do.

  • @andrew34765 I have the same problem.

I've looked around here for a while tonight and at doctors before but I had another problem that is solved now and I can't see any more problems in my life. Need to get the diagnose off my papers though because I don't need any special help or attention. I don't feel like people need to accept me for the aspergers criteries because to me they aren't there.

  • @andrew34765 You do of course realize that there is a difference between high-functioning and low-functioning, right? I'm high-functioning, and I'm just like you. You just may do better. It's not like if you do good with a symptom you don't have it.

  • my bro has this :> imma learn now

  • thanks for making this wideo my bestfriends sister has asperger syndrome and i just wanted know how she felt because she was very aggressive

  • The fact that this person doesn't have any friend may not only be because asbergers if it's a male he sound and looks like a female and if hes a female he looks like a male

  • I love this women!!!I heard her talk in Perth a couple of yrs ago helped me alot to understand Autism

Thank you Robyn,I wish you all the very best

  • I also have schitzoid

  • I have Aspergers and its not as bad as it sounds

  • I did not find out I had asperger's until I was 18. I've always had a hard time with the same things: socializing, understanding peoples body language, and communication problems. I have always had a hard time making friends as well.

  • She's very intelligent.

  • @chrissylm37 I know two people with the same syndrome and both are extremely intelligent in math and science.

  • i have aspergers and i have dyspraxia

  • I must say... the only issue it's causing me is still being single at 29 yrs of age. But I'm not overly concerned -- I do well academically, have a great career, and am generally enjoying life. It would be nice to find a girl who doesn't use ethereal terms such as "romantic chemistry." Someone down to earth who speaks in no-nonsense concrete terms.

  • @baobubs Sorry but that's most girls, tbh

  • Speaking as someone with Asperger's Syndrome, I'm tired of hearing about how it's not a disorder. Yeah. It's a disorder. I also have asthma but you won't hear me talking about pulmonary diversity. If they could cure it, I'd be in line for the cure.

  • people who are autistic are not bad people i have low functioning borderline autism and i can function in the societry but i usually can be avoident sometimes and but i see autism as a disability rather than a differant way of normality

  • @marc09676 you have hih functioning autism not low

  • For those of you who want to test yourself for this condition, type reading the mind in the eyes in Google search. It's a test created by the autism research centre, in which you try to recognize peoples emotions by looking in the eyes. The average person who does this test gets 26 out of 36. I got 25 the first time when I was feeling anxious about having this disorder, but when I did the test again with a calm mind I got 30 out of 36. Get less than 22 on this test and you should be worried.

  • @NorthernerMatty123 I was really nervous but I got a 32! That was a cool test.

  • I have Asperger's. You are an inspiration :)

  • I think I have aspergers... but is this thing a boy or a girl???

  • @TheManInBlack2003 it's a girl.... her name is robyn.

  • @TheManInBlack2003 its a girl i think, but why would you be insulting about it?

  • @TheManInBlack2003 if you read the info It states that Robyn is a Girl.

  • Thank you for sharing, we are awaiting to get our son tested for this disorder. We want to help him at a young age!

  • Loads of my friends think/used-to-think I am autistic but I understand their body languages/facial expressions without problems. Maybe I have a different autism spectrum disorder but I have no intention of having it diagnosed, maybe I am just strange.

I remember having to be assessed at some point in primary 5 (just me) and nobody told me what was going on (why keep it a secret? :S). I remember them testing my basic intelligence which just insulted me and everything was "ok" because I 'passed'.

  • i will say this about autism. its another way of thinking and i have PDD. its not too much different

  • My cousin has Asperger's, on top of DiGeorge syndrome, Autism and partial deafness.

Thanks for posting this video, people need to learn what it is. I have been one of his best friends all my life and I can say from experience that it's possible to learn how aspergers works and how to best live with someone who has it. It's quite easy. People need to be less judgmental and more accepting of those who fall outside "normal", their reality is different from most people's and must be accepted.

  • Yeah, we medicate everything these days. We might as well cull people under 5 feet tall and call it Sub-Human syndrome. C'mon. I've met two people in my life with this "condition" and they are both extremely successful people in great lines of work. They are not any more socially awkward than me, chronic shyness syndrome? >.> Please.

  • Great video!

  • i just love people with this "condition", i dont know why;

i m not sure it is as medical as it is thought though... it just may be, like all things actually, spiritual first.

    hope none of you are alone;

    love&hugs&blessings

  • Anybody with Aspergers: Test yourself for LYME (blood under microscope also) and HPU (!), have your stool (not urin!) tested for mercury and other heavy metals after taking a high dose of chlorella (maybe 50 pills) or another chelator (MicroSilica by Biopure), but only under the supervision of a physician that is using the Dr. KLINGHARDT protocolls for it! You will be amazed! Microbes in you produce 100 x more microtoxines with todays electromagnetic exposure. Aspergers is a medical condition!

  • @KarinOll Asperger's Syndrome isn't a medical condition.

  • @JoeMakesCoasters what do you mean by that?

  • @JoeMakesCoasters ya it is

  • @JoeMakesCoasters yes it is

  • So basically South Park is making fun of a disorder that i have. Well......now i feel like every other minority in the world.

  • SOUTH PARK OMG LOL

  • I do group therapy with other adults with Aspergers. Out of the 6 of us in the class, 4 of us(including me) are Atheists. The teacher is also. I've noticed other adults with Aspergers are more likely to be Atheists so I guess the whole thing about Aspies placing more emphasis on logic rather than just what feels right is true.

  • @MasterAdam100 hmmm, maybe you trust other people s logic...

    seek truth

  • You are completely right. You are a synchronization of my mind set.

  • um i didnt know anything different from this person

  • @nimbus1983 its a girl.

  • Not to be rude or anything but im really confused. Is that a boy or a girl? Other than that very informative video.

  • i love this, i do not have aspergers but she is so eloquent about it and doesn't for a second break her confidence. she is fine with who she is

  • i dont like people sticking labels on people, insinuating that something is wrong with them, i know they are not saying it, but they are Insinuating it

  • i have aspergers syndrome, adhd, biopolar and insumnia. i dont like noise or bright lights and sudden movements. i listen to music most of the day because it calms me down. if i get mad i either have a meltdown or shut down. when i shut down i hide behind my hair and dont respond to anything or anyone. but i used to be really bad at reading peoples emotions and thing. im better at that now. if you want help with wanting to learn about aspergers syndrom or need to talk write me on my channel

  • YOu can also check out our Animating Autism Movie Trailer on our Beyond1film Youtube page... Keep it up...Many Blessings to you...

  • nothing wrong with you...just born with a special gift ...."real medium"

  • My ex-fiance was diagnosed with Asperger's, Although I loved him dearly, His lack of communication with me ultimately broke us up. :(

  • @starisa218 you broke up with him just for lack of communication?

  • I have it too but I didn't find out until I was 17

  • i have it too i didn't find out till i was 12, i learned why i would hide in places i was small enough to get into when i was little, i will never be normal

  • Nice to hear it from someone who actually has aspergers. So many people get it wrong. I have aspergers and I hate it when I'm misunderstood. Great video.

  • She's incredibly smart! I expected to see someone with difficulty speaking. You learn something new everyday! :) dont get me wrong !!

  • @IGuessItsSteph well everyone has different abillities, bu thanks

  • This is the government doing this to our kids. They are putting chemicals in the vaccines and water, and using HAARP and other things on an unsuspecting population. Welcome to Communism. This system NEVER died, like they said it did. This is how they control the population. This system of government is all about cowardly deception, control, and manipulation, and this is how its done. And its all being done clandestinely.

  • Aspergers is a myth used as an excuse to be socially awkward.

  • @Swolf943

I have a cousin..8 years old...Trust me..It's not..He still poops and pee's his pants DURING THE DAY AT SCHOOL due to too much going on in the class room...I don't think that classifies as "social awkwardness"

  • @Swolf943 It's also my excuse to not get a job within 9 years after graduating from college, also my excuse for not having had good friends between age 14 and 23, also my excuse to start dating after age 26. THank you for your understanding. Wow. Really.

  • @Swolf943 i agree..

  • people like her make me feel so lucky. no matter what happens

  • Than I have always had the same problems, I suffer from heightened sensitivity to some colours as well as hearing. On the other parts I see myself as abnormal but good at it.

  • The doctors tell me I have asperger syndrome, when I read the symptoms I just feel this is me the way I act but still.. i just think its many things that makes me behave unsocial, for example I hate the country i live in which makes me not be happy about beeing social with people cause i just wanna be alone until i move.. I dont feel i have it.. but still i feel somethings wrong. I just feel.. unhappy.

  • Oh gosh...maybe I should be tested for Asperger's...

  • what is this disease about? somebody please explain.

  • @MyDude1991 its not a disease please don't use that word when talking about autism. Autism is a neurological condition i.e how the brain works, people with autisms brains are wired differently this means they can ( but not always ) find some things easier then others and some things harder. a Disease is something which you catch-you cannot catch autism you are born with it.

  • cont.. So I think it would be important to explore your sons fears, what exactly is he scared of, if his fear came true ( no matter how irrational) can you come up together with an action plan of an appropriate action.

  • cont.. people on the Autistic Spectrum often have problems putting themselves in other shoes and imagining what will happen next ( when testing for autism, people get shown a set of story cards and have to put them in order).

  • @silverwolf6970 Id say this isn't unusual, for a neurotypical person its usual to become more aware and perhaps more fearful of what is around us probably due to the flight or fight reflex.

  • thank you for educating me, and also thanks for not giving me the run around like some of these videos of people who have a same thing. You were straight forward and to the point.

  • can i ask..for people diagnosed..my son recently was diagnosed at 14...i am curious...is there a fear of the dark or things in the closet etc...i noticed esp when he gets stressed ..if he hears a squeak etc in his room ..he completely panics...and at nite he has to have the light on...it isnt all the time but when he gets upset or stressed it happens...does this happen to anyone else?

  • @silverwolf6970 These couple of things you list don't sound to me to be associated with AS from what all I've read and dealing with AS my self. I'd be concerned about any side effects of medications if any your son is taking as a first thing to look at, secondly if not medication then perhaps another disorder or the like, it is not impossible for some one with AS to have another disorder on top of AS. I once had a med at age 13 that made me see giant snakes in the trees behind my home!

  • oh so its a girl

  • Quite intellegent girl!!!

  • I dont have Asperges syndrome, I just came across and im just interested in it, i dont really know much about it yet. But is it like you dont see other people's emotion. Or know what there feeling, Do people with this syndrome just see people as no emotion so they can't react to them of what there feeling. Please tell if im right. =) Thanks

  • @EvilTho When I talk to someone I don't naturally understand what emotions they are feeling or what they want, but I've trained myself to get better at it. Think of a word problem in math class and you'll get an idea of what being social is like for me. It's not natural, it's like something I have to figure out using a set of rules. Also, I have to remind myself to look you in the eye, because if I don't I'll either look at your mouth or look away completely.

  • I have Autism. Its so hard to understand the world around you and make sense out of everything, i wish i was like everyone else.

I wish i could understand your emotions

I wish i didn't get huge panic attacks at social events

    I wish i didn't have autism I wish i was like you.............like everyone else

But in the end i'm still glad i'm...............me

Autism, is alarmingly more prevalent today than just 10 years ago, affecting as many as 1 per 166 individuals.

  • she has problems blinkin..

  • I don't know if I believe in AS. I supposedly have it. But I mean, all of the so-called traits could be a number of things. I am hypersensitive to light and sound, but I also haven't been properly desensitized to such, due to preferred isolation (a world I can control). This is also why I am socially inept. I do wonder if "Aspies" just like a sense of community and to feel there is an explanation to their life. I do think it is good to talk about though, so I support this woman's experience.

  • @dIIlIIb

"due to preferred isolation (a world I can control)"

I think you have bigger problems than Asperger's.

  • @dIIlIIb

You might simply have a mild form. It's not to say Autism doesn't exist (but perhaps it's over-diagnosed). PS. If you want my advice on that things you said about a "world you can control"; to turn a phrase, nothing blossoms in a well ploughed desert.

  • I have aspergers also! I was great at fishing but now i pray and try to help people. God bless.

  • is her staring look due to the aspergers?

  • @dunnobutwayne yes.

  • @dunnobutwayne

Staring is one of the things they do. Not all. Depends on their level of Aspergers.

  • @jblackrupert its often due to being taught to make eye contact, NT ( neurotypical i.e non autistic ) people can understand how someone is feeling from their eyes and facial muscles this is often not a skill people on the spectrum have, therefore rather then looking around the face, one simply looks at somones eyes because they've been taught to make eye contact, its far better in my opinion to teach people o the spectrum to look at somones forehead.eye contact can be painful for some.

  • @dunnobutwayne yes, they may have this "Intense Gaze" look on their face.

  • @dunnobutwayne no I am just concentrating at talking and remembering where the film crew told me to look

  • Attractive & bright young lady

  • @sxymelissannt Lol, she is not attractive

  • im aspergers.... u go girl. u can keep it up, :)

  • Look up the healing power of Neurofeedback....please spread the word it seems to be a secret and it is an answer to unlock the brain

  • Shes smarter then me (:

  • I'm in the U.S. I've had a lifelong phobia of thunderstorms that defied attempts at a cure - three psychologists/psychiatrists. It was only very late in my life - I'm now 51 - that this problem, coupled with numerous other characteristics of my life, resulted in diagnoses of Asperger's Syndrome. Sudden changes of light and sound are very much disturbing to AS sufferers, in addition to sudden changes in routine. What this dear young lady says, strikes a chord with all ASD endurers.

  • @rob051160: I'm only 24 and have only known I'm an Aspie for about a year. I love thunderstorms but am terrified of the sound of ice cracking or babies crying. I'm light-, sound-, and smell-hypersensitive to a degree that I can't go outside on really bright days and can smell my little nephew's dirty diaper from rooms away before my sister can, even is she's sitting right next to him.

It's taken some adjusting but I find it terribly interesting how differently we're all affected.

  • @JohnfromPerth What are you on? I have it. Its a gift. I cherish it. Yes, it is very difficult but it is a gift.

  • Wikipedia/Google search it

  • @JohnfromPerth whats aspergers?

  • @SuperRandomMaker its a neurological condition.

  • you can't even really tell she is different. my mom works with little autistic kids and i have learned a lot about them over the years. some of these kids are so smart or so talented at a certain hobby and they are all heart breakingly cute kids. it is so sad how they get neglected in the public school system and never have a chance to develop their skills and talents that many of them honestly do have.

  • "the actual label doesn't actually change the person"

"you're not a different person just because its got a name"

    so true

  • @JohnfromPerth Dude, just learn to adapt. All it needs is practice.

As for people: most people in this world are dispassionate, emotionally stunted jerks until they hit middle age or a little better. You've got it better on the inside than they do; you're less prone to intellectual dishonesty, to suicidal impulses, or weakness to peer pressure.

It's a different viewpoint, it's not the end of the fucking world, man...

  • ii always think peopel is talking about me when i leave them saying thank god he left or i feel like someone is ploting against me

  • Shes so smart.. My sister has it and shes such a successful and smart girl, i love her :)

  • Wow, what an awesome person she seems to be. I'd love to meet her.

  • my friend is asperger and im conginital Aphasia or Dysphasic in french..

and were both intelligent .. i dont care about the others who says were different or retard cuz later.. we will make a new way to think and were gonna be good people

  • I live in america and I have autism and I been there. I had problems making friends and I have high sensative hearing. I remember all my life I freak out over loud noises it was embarressing when I was a little kid in school I remember that the teachers had to remove the cafateria noise level bell and my dad plugging my ears when we go see the fireworks on the 4th of july. By the time I became a teen I discover that i had a gife of learning piano songs by hearing. Autism is a gife dont waste it.

  • My dad has asperges and he is the ONLY 'nt' (normal thinking) mind that i know... even though i don't have asperges. Because he raised me i see the world through his eyes, i wish people out there would have hearts for these peopl. It wasnt until he was diagnosed with it when i was 19 that we all looked back and realised, we (family) subconciousely sheltered him from the concepts and constructs of the 'nt' world, withought even realising it...

  • every time i wanna reply to these damn aspy vids i get bored and start to realize how self defeating even explaining anything is. What aspy's need to learn is how to be in the flow of their intuition, but only once you have learned enough knowledge. Change the world with your intellect, but dont disregard all your feelings and intuition, it will only lead to depression.. be aware of the things you feel as you try new things, What you feel is the end result of your action. Its always been withu

  • @proaerro listen here, u comment is quite outrageous. u have no clear concept about what aspergers syndrome. of course, aspergers syndrome doesn't make people any much more different to other humans. However, aspergers syndromes can intrepreted in different ways. people with aspies will have different challenges to get through whether it's communcation to education. you can't say that "learning how to flow their intuition" is the answer, what do think a lot aspies are trying to do?

  • @JohnfromPerth If the situation in the world was, Everyone is an aspurger, and the normally "normal" people were as rare as aspergers are today. Then it would be them living for a long duration without ever realizing anyone is even different. They would automatically assume that others have the same problems. Most people dont have the intellectual capacity to be as thoughtful as we are.. This is our downfall, we Love logic and reasoning that we can see and touch.... The universe is chaotic.

  • @JohnfromPerth here, i think you have a deficiency.. an interpretation deficiency. Let me spoon feed you the real truth of Aspergers. We understand ourselves, and others very well, its the "normal" people that dont understand themselves and others very well. Its because they are living in a state of mind controlled by their emotions/feelings and whatever else that is not logical or rational. We passively are not even aware of this so we dont see it. let me rephrase.

  • I have ADHD which makes me get alot of friends and do bad stuff lol

  • @JohnfromPerth i agree i have it to and it sucks

  • He was very well spoken, thanks for posting this!

  • It's a double edged sword. It ruined my life, diagnosis came way too late. Yet on the other hand, it did keep me off drugs, away from crime, and out of prison.

  • I have Asperger syndrome, and I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I have tons of friends.

  • I have Aspergers Syndrome. Why do 13 people not like this video?????? Oh yeah they must be NORMAL!!!!!

  • @JRBouncerz2010 Normal? They can stick it.

  • @JRBouncerz2010 Those gosh darn normies!

  • @JRBouncerz2010 you are normal.

  • @JRBouncerz2010 Im normal and i like this XD

  • It does help to know that there is a reason for the way you are. I used to get very upset as a child and ask myself why I was different but being diagnosed has helped me realise that I'm not alone :)

  • I heard that they were taking Asperger syndrome out of the psychology diagnosis books because there is too much debate over whether it is a real condition.

  • @Clarice1933 Ah but . . . .what they have decided is that there are not enough differences between high functioning autism and asperger's to warrant giving it a separate label. it's not that Aspergers is not a real condition . . it's that it is autism . . .pure and simple . . .but of the high functioning variety.

  • While I've come to terms with having Aspergers, I don't feel comfortable being labeled "autistic", because it implies a level of disability that I don't have. I differ from most other people with Asperger's in that I think of things in emotional and abstract terms, rather than viewing everything literally. I am horrible at math and enjoy writing poetry, which sounds like the opposite of a typical aspergers person. I do have trouble reading social cues sometimes, but I've improved over the years

  • gary numan the famous synth musician from the 80's had aspergers.

  • My mom says i have AS but i only have the clumsy symptom idk

  • @JohnfromPerth

hi im doing a project about asperger syndrome, my brother is aspergers but he doesnt like it so he wont talk about it, and i need someone to tell me what life is like to be an asperger person... i would like to know thanks!

  • Yeah she is very intelligent, good for her :D

the Woman at 1:59 looks like heidi fleiss

  • it shits me how people think autism then they think "Rainman". Autism has as many variables as do "normal people" with their individual ways. My daughter has Asp. and she sense things which most other people cannot - (and always beats me with memory card games). Robyn proves that people with Autism are gifted in a way that most "normal people" could never comprehend, these gifted senses can be a hinderence to everyday life but you have to admire at what is seen and heard beyond. :)

  • Comment removed

  • my friend has asperger, but he has no problem social,

he just moves alot and gets mad sometimes over small things.

He is super smart, very very smart.

  • also (no joke intended at all) when i smoke cannabis i have sympthoms like her- hyperactive sences, low social skills (yes i am not social after cannabis) and beeing "closed" in your own world.

  • I hereby diagnose myself, normal. There it must be true. I said it on the Internetz

  • We should take DNA from people with Asperger's syndrome and implement it in 'normal' people and maybe a blast of radiation and we can create super humans!

  • @JoshDaGoodfella I like your style.

  • @JohnfromPerth sir..everyone one has a certain load of problems..yours is aslarge as you can handle.

  • In the US It's a "trend" to self-diagnose oneself if you're an introverted NT and a troublesome childhood I hear, It's also more common to get a misdiagnosis there because of just having traits of it.

  • @JohnfromPerth

I like science a lot too, so I think that many aspie are really cool. As someone who does not have asperger syndrome, I think that you guys stand out a lot because you generally don't pay attention to dressing correctly. People communicate their social status (single, married, rich / poor) by dressing accordingly. Business men have suits and young girls want to dress ''sexy'' etc. So go to the GAP and buy some cool stuff :)

  • @JohnfromPerth i hear you, fellow aspie. i hear you.

  • @JohnfromPerth I have aspergers but I find it easy to concentrate in small bursts. I'm a writer so the concentration in small bursts is very convenient. I get ideas faster then the normal person. But it does make life harder. I have terrible social skills and it hurts. I feel your pain brother. I just disagreed when you said not being able to concentrate. For a writer concentration is key. I'm partly autistic as well. But I'm high functioning. Keep at it my friend. .

  • she looks like at any second that she is going to have a nervous breakdown and destroy every thing

  • @JohnfromPerth

I can relate to that but only somewhat. I have had a lot of social problems because of aspergers. I didn't have a single friend at the age of 14 and did not know how to communicate but it has all changed.

3 months ago I participated in a research about autism and after the session the two pschologists actually asked for my phone number so they could call me for advice on how to help people with my condition.

I no longer experience any difficulty socialising anymore.

  • I was tested for Asperger's, but it turned out that my social-awkwardness and wrathful temperament were actually just part of my personality.

  • @TheOmegaParadigm It could be that you have PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified). There are a lot of symptoms for Asperger's Syndrome, and perhaps you just didn't display all of them. (The only circumstance where such a "misdiagnosis" could be a problem would be if you actually did have Asperger's.)

  • @JohnfromPerth I understand the difficulties you go through, I have Asperger's too, but there some very good things that come from it too. You should think of the positive things my dear, Apserger's may be a burden, but it's also a gift

  • @JohnfromPerth ups your Q.I. though on certain subjects

  • "Autism doesn't take away from a person, it's just an addition to the person" that's very well put hope she stays strong!

  • it sucks when I at college, the professor says some sort of joke, or pum, and everybody laughs and I just stay there looking stupid, because it was related with something subversive, so I never get it. My wife makes some faces and expects me to get what she's saying by those faces, so she aways has to go through the trouble of explaining it, she wants to spare time by saying something with a face, but ends up taking more time to explain. It just sucks to look stupid.

  • @cfernandomaciel At least my wife explains it:-((((( These ununderstanding people are the stupid ones. We need to be more militant.

  • Her gaze is so intense... Does she ever blink? Anyway she's just brilliant!

  • I've AS. It's been interesting. I realize that the books in my library are stacked tremendously different than the shelves of most people. It's noticeable in every aspect of my life, how strange and out of place i feel. I feel like im not even human; there is some crucial part of humanity I'm missing which hinders my ability to be a person. It is this: the most prominent aspect of being human is the ability to relate to other humans, and that part of me is missing. What sort of monster am I?

  • @BlackScarletLove I'm borderline, but there's a huge spectrum for AS, and I can't really say I have any solid answers. Remember this: If you tell yourself you're a monster, you have the strong probability of becoming one. I'm not saying ignore bad tendencies, mind you, but confining yourself to being a monster is just as bad as running wild and ignoring any bad. Always strive to be better; and if "better" is hard to grasp--it was, for me--observe and learn. That's really the best I can advise.

  • @JohnfromPerth I really agree with you they its not a nice disorder to live with.

  • Inspirational.

  • My wife didn't understand why I describe a lot of colors as "loud" and uncomfortable, and why noise itself, especially multi-source noises are so anxiety inducing. It's like chaos. It's all sort of chaos and coherency is fleeting, except for certain things. Social settings, especially parties, and for some reason funerals, elicit a flight instinct that is barely repressible, at least in me. I wonder if others have the supervisor? The one that reminds them to shift gaze, to stop talking, etc?

  • I have it.

  • she smart as hell

  • What a girl! Lovely voice and clearly very bright.

I don't understand all of the people saying Aspergers isn't a real disorder recently. I have a family member with Aspergers and I assure you, it is very real.

  • there have been a few questions about how you get diagnosed. You would got to your GP first of all, i you are in education you could go to see an Educational Physiologist. If not then through your local diagnosis service such as the one at Cambridge, or in the US I belive they do it at UCLA, but there will be other examples.

and just to clarify I am a girl.

  • I don't believe its a real disorder.
