I believe that was Bert Newton at the beginning of that clip who ironically hosted Family Feud from 2006-2007 in the land down under.

Wow, that's huge in those days, to say you're gay on Australian TV. Especially if you were from Mediterranean stock (He looks Greek or Italian). That's a brave man right there.

What I don't get was that Australia's show was based off of the UK's, and was also called "Family Fortunes". The UK's Family Fortunes didn't start until 1980. I know Australia has a show called "Bert's Family Feud", not sure if this is a predecessor to that or not.

Was the UK version all ways called Family Fortunes, or was it called Family Feud early on?

@Novetrix To my knowledge, it's always been called Family Fortunes in the UK. (According to Wikipedia, "Feud" sounded too confrontational to the Brits.)
