  • Copper? Are you kidding me?

  • you're videos are great!! i collect copper due to my job so for me it's free, i then sell it for scrap and buy silver..you have a great collection going on..good work!

  • You sound like my uncle, the sound of your voice does.

  • hey is £27 good for 1kg of copper?

  • Did you pay 150% over spot?

  • Coppers better than nothing though, capital is king and in this economy with inflation the only way to store the value of your cash saving is to put it in real money, metal. (Money) holds value over time, easily divisible, and none perishable. oh and universally acceptable. metals are money cash or paper is not it is currency. dont be a slave to currency save (Money)

  • coppers fine i guess, so is iron but i sure as hell dont want to be pull'n around my life saving in copper or iron! go silver or gold. a 1000 bucks in silver or gold or copper are the same. how much effort to move that is different. if your scared silver or gold will be to expensive to divy up later on just cut em into peaces, its always worth its weight. copper? nah, try shipping 10,000 of copper in the mail to sell back to a dealer, hick no to expensive.

  • Your safe is worth more than the copper "bullion" bars it's filled with.

  • Id rather invest in PG, XOM, AAPL

  • or you can just collect pre 1981 pennies...

  • I was looking to buy a few kilos of copper but, you guys are nutz if you pay what they are asking. I will go back to silver and gold and glad I never started the copper.

  • If all that copper were shinier, heavier and had more of a yellowish hue this would be an awesome vid!

  • why don't you just collect copper scrap?

  • I save copper pennies too but to put it politely, paying for copper bars and trying to treat base metals like precious metals is dumb. If you really wanted copper most people could spend a few hours at a land fill and come out with lots of it.

Also, if for some reason you still want to store base metals instead of precious metals; nickel, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium, etc would take up a hell of a lot less space for the same dollar value!

  • @hathigmonorow Thanks for your comment,is very helpful, I`m trying to start something like that, and I`m learning from those who know,it looks like you are . Please upload more.

  • That 5 ounce copper bullion bar is worth about a dollar on the open market. You gotta be nuts to actually invest in that stuff.

  • i just recently found copper wires and i want to melt them into a bar and sell them. since i don't have a tool to hammer in to the bar after it's done, is it illegal to sell a copper bar without .999fine copper?

  • @bobcanbeatyou Don't melt them down it will be difficult to sell later on as it wasn't melted by a mint and difficult to verify purity to the buyer as some people are finicky. You own the copper, its yours you can do with it as you wish its NOT illegal to sell anything copper even a hand made bar.

  • I agree with some of the posters here--there's SO much copper around that there's absolutely no reason to overpay for bars or coins. A one kilo bar is worth $7.26 at the current copper price. I understand the bars and coins look nice, but it just doesn't make sense as an investment.

  • I'm sorry, man, but you're being played for a sucker bet. (and maybe have lost your mind a bit). That 5oz bar that you have gently packed on a foam bed, and are handling with gloves (!), and say that you usually have it on "display" and not exposed to air ... that thing is worth, what, a dollar and a half? I've got a pack of shoelaces over here on my desk that are worth more than that. Please come to your senses and stop it already with the copper bars. Look at your percentage markup to buy.

  • @FastLeadPoisoning lol yeah handling copper with gloves like its something super precious, i save copper pennies but this is crazy and the markup on copper is ridiculous, if you are serious about copper by a ton of it from some scrap place.

  • Copper has become "the poor man's silver and gold". Make sure you get good quality ingots/bars that have the weight stamped on them and that look good as in the future you may be using these to trade for goods and services. You will probably be using gold and silver coin and boullion for storage and investment - their value will be too large to use in day to day transactions. This is why saving copper pennies (pre-1982) makes sense. A copper penny is now worth more than one cent face value

  • those odd bars r sand pour bars..the mold is sand like back in the old days..it is still used in modern manufacturing ...thats why those bars look like that...

  • Copper bars/bullion are neat looking but honestly for the price they don't seem like very good investments.

  • Gold, yes, Silver possibly.

Copper, before you buy just try selling it.

The only market for copper is a scrap merchant or selling it on to another muppet on ebay.

Copper bullion is a rip off.

Per kilo, it's cheaper to buy copper pipe than buy bullion, it's also useful. ;-)

  • spot prrice on copper is outrageous. you cant get copper anywhere near spot.

  • If you want great Copper Bullion try eBay "climbingwino" he has great products.

  • I'd rather have paper copper than physical copper. "Pack up your shit, we're leaving" *Puts a thousand pounds of copper into the car* Not worth the gas money. Silver/Gold are far more portable and hold value as currency, while copper is more of an industrial metal.

  • medal mint - do they just do medals ?

  • well for the two top comments not really but it is supposed to get up to around $7 or higher. dont know if its true or not but thats what i heard

  • Interesting video, It is important to have the weight stamped on the copper ingot beacuse at some point it may be traded for goods or services. most copper is refined at the mine by electroplating so it is very pure and wire and pipe other products are pure except for a few special purpose uses found in electrical equipment.

  • I like your copper idea, check out my vids.

  • Anyone looking for canadian copper coins please send me a msg I have hundreds of pounds for sale.

  • coper is only 3.50 a lb whats the point of doin this?

  • @superbungabunga becase for the lower classes the cost of gold is just rediculous.silver has gone out of reach to.but copper is a very affordable.and its only going to go up.right now with copper being as cheap as it is you can stash a lot of it,and when copper goes up you have a crap load of it.

  • Good video. All commodities in the previously monetary metals (and future monetary metals again when the western economies collapse) are good. Bullet casings are made from copper (95% copper, 5% zinc, the same as real copper pennies). It is all good so everyone should keep stacking as they can. I personally prefer the real copper pennies from pre Oct. 1982, but hey, it is still all good.

  • Copper at that price is a rip-off. If the currency collapses the bars would be worthless anyway. Copper wire, copper tubing, copper rivets are all useful - bars etc are not.

  • @sanyozing hell yea

  • copper bars is not a investment, copper pennies and scrap.. yes

  • @skatergmail Scrap Copper is not considered pure copper. Pennies are not pure copper. Unless you are one of the people with too much time on your hands and want to buy 15k worth of penny rolls and sort them by hand to find old copper pennies then thats up to you. Pure Precious metals will always be worth more than scrap. Copper Bars and Coins dont have to be reclaimed which makes them more valueable.

  • Definition: Bullion is the pure form of a precious metal such as gold, silver, copper, or platinum, from which coin metal alloys are made. The U.S. Gold Eagle is not really pure bullion; it is an alloy of 91.67% gold, 3% silver, and 5.33% copper, although the total amount of gold content weighs out to a solid ounce. The U.S. Silver Eagle and the U.S. Gold American Buffalo are both considered to be true bullion coins, since their alloy is at least 99.9% pure.

    Thus, copper is not bullion.

  • @axcessnews Generally 90% purity is acceptable for a coin to be considered bullion.

  • why would you buy copper?

you can find them from banks :)

  • Better off investing your time and money in silver, not copper.

  • @alan30189 not even 1 kg Bars?

  • Better off investing your time in money in silver bars.

  • Just recieved my 15 Kilo high polished bar from Tacoma Copper--Wow it is heavy to lift, over 30lbs of beautiful copper. Thanks for the insperation.

  • @RETIREINARIZONA That is really awesome! Tacoma makes a wonderful copper bullion bar. Thanks for watching and glad I could help. Enjoy your new bar.

  • very cool i just posted a vid of some of my copper bars as well, im loading up on this stuff have been for a while. i have 5 pound, 8 pound and 25 pound copper bars/ingots

  • Thanks for showing. I've gotten some bars from Copper Bullion Catalog mostly kilos. I also got a beautiful high polish 5Lb bar from Tacoma Copper! I've only started collecting and paying attention to copper in the last year. Share a little about why you think copper was up to 4.50 and now under $4 while silver and gold surge upward?

  • Just bought a market harmony 10oz ingot and 2 pounds of 98% Canadian copper rounds :)

  • @MrWarrenbuffett Thanks so much for the comment and congratulations! :-) That is awesome news. I own a variety of Market Harmony copper and silver bullion bars (and pyramids too). Their product is second to none and I truly respect their operation. I'm overdue to purchase more.

  • awsome vid, btw is it ok to store all copper in any ziplock bag?

  • @coinman1361 Thanks so much for the question! Yes, Ziplock bags are my preferred way to store my copper bullion bars. I like to use the heavy duty Ziplock freezer bags, and am super careful to remove all air before sealing. Thanks again!

  • @goldwhy is it also ok to put copper pennys/coins in ziplock bags? thanks again!!

  • @coinman1361 Thanks again for the great questions! Yes, this is ok. I personally roll my copper pennies in the paper penny roles and then store the roles in an air tight plastic container. Plastic bags should also work as well. Great question!

  • The copper mint in the UK make some beautiful copper bullion bars. They have made a fantastic addition to my bullion collection.

  • awesome video. i ordered 5 1 pound bars off amazone and they messed up my order and sent me 10 one pound bars! woot woot

  • @Kstixxx Thanks so much! That's really awesome, nice work getting those copper bars!
