  • 1:36 what do you call that thing holding the comic book?

  • @clay81000 It's a CGC case.

  • Comment removed

  • love you *.*

  • dude if i gave you 1000,000 for your spider man collection... would you sell it?

    just asking :P

  • @diazmedranohectros Of course...

  • more videos of your SM collection please!!!

  • What would the value be of an amazing spider-man #1 (1963) with a cgc grade of 0.5? If any

  • @Venomlsd Hard to say, but you should get at least get $500 for it, if unrestored.

  • this makes me sad , I had all these issues , I was a huge spiderman fan back in the early 70's and the local used comic store in town was a daily visit for me, I walked by it after school every day.. The owner would save amazing spidermans fro me to complete my collection. I also had 1st issue iron man,1'st amazing hulk and the first 12 dr stranges.

my mother threw them all out when I went into the service.. they were pristene

  • @TheRocketSilo waaaaaaaa!!! what a waste!!!

  • How can i get them?

  • wow! Could you send me the files or templates?

  • Where did you get those storage boxes for the shelves? Are they custom made?

  • @EmpowerComics Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop.

  • Please, do more videos of your spider-man collection!

  • Wow i'm surprised you have a large wall to wall collection of spider man comics! super awesome!

  • if i were you id leave the #1 in the cgc.

  • What kind of plastic cases are your comics in? Because mine are just bagged and boarded.

  • @xquickstrykex Those are CGC graded comics.

  • @chromiumcomics How come they didn't have a label and grade? I'm going to get some of mine graded so i'm just curious.

  • @xquickstrykex Then you are not taking about the ones in the cases, but the ones in the mylar bags.

  • @chromiumcomics Yeah the mylar bags, i'm assuming they have advantages over a regular bag and board right?

  • @xquickstrykex You never need to change them and they will never degrade. Check out hotflips for more info

  • @chromiumcomics thanks.

  • Where can i get those black and red Amazing Spiderman boxes you have the comics inside in the beginning of the video?

  • @chabbbboi23 Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop.

  • @chromiumcomics could you show us all you spiderman comics one by one ???

  • @themanunitedrox I have an unbroken run of 600 Amazing Spider-man books, if i showed each of them for only 3 seconds the video would last over half an hour. Not only is this way too long for youtube, I'm also confident not a lot of people would stick with it.

  • @chromiumcomics well you can make the video into several part.

  • whre do you buy these comics??? im a huge spiderman fan and can you buy these comics at borders?? name as many book stores as you can thanks

  • DANG :)

  • the price is 170 Euro for both , thats about 226 usd

  • what would you buy , amazing spider-man 9 in 4.5 or amazing spider-man 14 in 2.0 ??

they are the same price i dont know which one to choose ??? :)

    Hope you can answer...

  • @muttersoehnchen100 #14 is the more valuable book, but 2.0 is pretty low grade, what's the asking price ?

I would probably get the #9 ... great cover and it's still a midgrade book.

  • what size should i get

  • so do u think I should ge mylites 2 and also does mean mylar could give a damage to a comic

  • @vmtvs Mylar is great, but is harder to work with as they are very stiff and you need to be careful when inserting the comic. Plus Mylite 2's are cheaper.

  • What kind of bag & board do u use? cause those bags & boards look really nice & crisp!

  • @CTNIGHAVEN Mylite 2's + fullback boards. Check out Hotflips that's where I get them.

  • which one is better mylites 2 or just normal mylar bag

  • @vmtvs I prefer Myites 2 because normal Mylar bags are very rigid and hard.

  • Nice collection!

    Jeff

  • How do i make back of the cover so hard? i have my comics in Comic book plastic bags but the back of it isn't white like yours....you put hard paper there or what ? :D

  • @Chris87913 Do a Google search on comic fullbacks or comic backing boards and all will be revealed.

  • @chromiumcomics and do you think it is necessary to have the hard (white :D ) back of the bag? cuz i can't get it in my country anyway... so i will have the comics in tha plastic bag only and i will buy that in England.. thanx anyway!

  • @Chris87913 It depends how valuable your comics are, if they are all from the last 20 - 25 years or so then I would imagine you would be fine with just the bag.

  • Have I ever been so jealous?

  • How the hell did you manage to get all of these gems?

  • @nWoFan100 They were in a box at a swap-meet which I bought for five bucks.

  • @chromiumcomics you got to be kidding me! $5. Might I ask where was this swap meet?

  • @nWoFan100 Nah, I was just messing around, I bought them each one by one at various auction houses across the years.

  • @chromiumcomics Now that makes more sense lol. Were they expensive?

  • @nWoFan100 Yeah alas they were... issue #1 in this grade alone is a $2500 book.

  • @chromiumcomics Hey if you can afford it, then go for it.Thats my philosophy lol

  • That truly is amazing. Great collection you have there.

  • I noticed you have CGC labels in those mylars. How do you get them do you just send it into cgc and ask them not to case it or how does that work? Thought they had to be cased to be given a grade

  • @StOckERT19 I crack most of the books I buy out of the CGC case, and store them in Mylar + fullboards. I just keep the labels as a souvenir.

  • in awe at your collection wish i has that many, o well marvel essentials books are awesome just have to read them great video

  • It is, the series runs from #1 to over #600

  • I have 218 were sandman combines himself with this other villain just wondering is it part of the series?

  • Oh my god, I am in awe of your collection... I was a HUGE spiderman fan growing up and I had quite the collection myself (not nearly as complete as yours, especially the 60's issues). I believe my mom gave them away to some family in my teenage years and since then I have been kicking myself for letting her. I wish I could track it down but can't. How long have you been collecting for?

  • 'orgasm'

  • Thanks, maybe one day I will. Most of the work is designing the labels in Photoshop. Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made.

  • you should make a video on how to make those amazing spiderman boxes! They are unbelieveable and I would love to get some. Also did you buy your boxes from a comic store? Cause I have purchased one but they are quite pricey.

  • Where do u get your boxs for your comics

  • @SodaBoobsPhone Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop.

  • how much are these worth put together?

  • Where did u buy all of ur comic from?

  • @AgeOfTheRKO Online auction houses like Heritage, Comiclink, also houseofcomics

  • Terrific collection. I am looking at getting a 3.0 Amazing Spiderman #1 myself soon, how much did you pay for it?

  • Comment removed

  • hi do you have any spare comics that are under #100

  • @guitarsaregreat09 I have currently about 10 spare early Ditko issues. Send me your email address and I'll send the list.

  • Where did you get the cool looking Amazing Spider-man comic book holders for your collection?

Also, What kind of Boards and Bags are best to keep them in good condition? I have heard that Mylar bags are best.

  • @jimijam17 Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop. Yes, Mylar (Mylite 2's) are the way to go.

  • Comment removed

  • @chromiumcomics Myself I use acid free archival boxes for my vintage comicbooks collection, I believe you can order them from companies like comicbook archival supply companies like Gerber & Bill Cole Enterprises.

  • jesus I really wish my dad bought some comics when he was young :L

do you know the value of all your comics put together?

  • @TheReidovideos Yes I do, and to be honest all these comics were bought in the last 6 years or so. Only people who were born around 1950 would have been lucky enough to buy these at cover price...

  • Do you have Amazing Fantasy 15?

  • @ListWritingMachine Yes I do, you can see it in my video with all the Silver Age key books.

  • would you think of selling at least one of those man?????pls reply

  • @01DRose01 Well my double issues are always for sale, but early Spideys are not cheap alas.

  • @chromiumcomics do u have the first appearance of venom??

  • if i want to get into the current AMS series (whatever the issue is #600 odd) is there any sort of 'jump-on' issues which will allow me to easily get into the series without having to have too much background knowledge?

    thanks in advance!

  • @XVIISIDEWINDER Alas can't help you there, I don't collect comics from after 1985 so I wouldn't have a clue.

  • hey great video! i just purchased an ASM#1 yesterday cgc 4.0! and yes like you, i couldnt resist.....had to crack it open!! awsome book! thanks for posting these vids!!

  • @redneckspidey Enjoy the Spidey !

  • I would really like to get into comic book's can you possibly suggest some cheap and easy to find comic books that are worth reading? I find it extremely difficult to get into something like this, there are so many out there and it can become very overwhelming.

If you could help me out I would appreciate it man

    Cheers.

  • @Nintendoman15 I would suggest you buy/collect what you like and not what you think will be valuable in 30 years time. Most comics from 1980 onwards can be found for a few bucks, most comic book stores have dollar bins where you can find cheap reading material. Sample some of these and then start collecting the titles/characters you liked the most. Best of luck !

  • @Nintendoman15 Well I started collecting when I was 12 and I started out reading smaller priced issues at the local time comic store. If you want the good stories there are reprints of the 30s 40s 50s and 60s that are still pretty fun for a reading session. You can usually get those for about a couple of bucks to sometimes 10 or 20 bucks for a reprint of Detective Comics #27 (1st Batman) Only about 2 years ago did I really start collecting the more expensive comics like what chromiumcomics has

  • WHAT THE HELL; What work u do to get all those comics

  • @moviereviews4life I work at the city dump, it's amazing what people throw away these days ;)

  • @chromiumcomics NO FAIR, you keep your secret a secret, lol. I guess you must so you can keep collecting like you do. I'd love to see your Batman and Superman collection, I'm more a DC Fan

  • @moviereviews4life Alas, I almost have no DC, I am working on a complete run of Batman #1 - #400 which is about 75% finished.

  • @chromiumcomics Ahh, your a Marvel man, that's cool. I'm not a nerd with comics, I just got into them, I have been getting the Golden Age Batman, through the Chronicles(way too poor to get the originals)and have brought a few graphic Batman novels. The only Marvel thing I have, is the first appearance of Iron Man in Tales of Suspense.

  • what are you using to old the comics in, like to use that idea

  • @daltonvh22 Those are magazine-storage type boxes bought at an office supply store, the labels are made in Photoshop

  • @chromiumcomics how much did u get the spiderman no.1 for?

  • i like your comic books are so cool i like

spider-man to i wish had all like you sider-man

comic books so come see my channel i hope u like

    my channel keep going

  • i like your comic books are so cool i like

spider-man to i wish had all like you sider-man

comic books so come see my channel i hope u like

    my channel keep going

  • How do you like using those magazine boxes for your books? I was thinking of doing something similar.

  • @brizzown122345 Yeah, I'm never going back to those ugly long and short boxes... much easier to get at your comics this way and your house doesn't look like a storage unit.

  • Nice video. I also have a low grade Spidy #1 (2.0)but I took it out of the CGC holder. I also put my books in Mylar and your right, not only do you never have to change them again, they stay "Sharp and Clean" looking for display!

  • I just love the noise Mylars make haha!

  • how much was the 2nd issue?

  • hey man sick video!! It is my goal to have such an awesome collection in the future!!

Which place online do you reckon is the best to order comics, I'm new to comics and started reading Amazing spiderman, and my comic book store doesnt have issues 551-560 etc etc

  • @AK410 Try houseofcomics and tell them I sent you :)

  • earliest amazing spider man i have is the 2nd appearance of the lizard

  • you are the best collector in the world and i love your videos but i have a question what is that plastic thing around the comic books and where am i going to buy it?

  • @deviljim1000 I'm just an everyday collector...but thanks for the nice words. The soft plastic things are mylar sleeves (bags) the hard plastic thing is a CGC case. For more info on the mylar go to HOTFLIPS. For more info on the CGC cases, do a search for CGC grading service.

  • @chromiumcomics tnx man tnx 4 your help i wish one day i have a collection like yours

  • @chromiumcomics and how long can i keep the comics in those bags?

  • @deviljim1000 IF you use Mylar then you will never have to change the bags again.

  • you inspired me myself to be a comic collector so i thank you

  • Here is a question that all married Silver Age Marvel collectors have to face.. Does your wife ever get pissed at the money you spend on the great books? I sort of get a dirty look every time one arrives at the house from Ebay or ComicLink. I spread the purchases out a bit and some I just pick up in person at Metropolis Comics in NYC. LOL.

  • @Burco1 That's a good one :) Just tell your wife you could also practice taxidermy as a hobby or just spend the money in pubs/bars/clubs every weekend.

  • @chromiumcomics i'd imagine that's right. i think she'd rather you "waste" money on "stupid children's entertainment" than killing your liver and eating all that bar food (high cholesterol, high blood sugar, high risk that you could get very, very ill from it?) LOL i've just started collecting comics myself. i'm starting with batman and i'm gonna branch to Spidey :D i love spidey.

  • @Burco1 Now thats a problem i dont have to deal with! remember how a buds ex wife would rag on his ass when ever he shelled out a few bucks for comics from me! Whew!! To this day, he weeps over the NM ff 5 he couldnt buy back in 1983-84, for about 100 bucks, because his ex put her foot down on him doing so.

  • where did you find the things with the title of the series on them? the things that hold the comics?

  • @nickparker1234 I made those myself.

  • it reminds me of sheldons collection from the big bang theory lulz

  • How much are mylite bags?

  • @destr0n Depends on size and quantity. Check hotflips DOT com.

  • @destr0n google up the e.gerber products company. best bags for best price, and IF you are a serious collecter, you HAVE to shell out a few hundred for bags and boards,no way to get around it.

  • hey man are you gonna give some away because i know some kid who cant afford comics call me 770 395 0564

  • @abb212a I just did but Justin Bieber picked up the phone, so I hung up.

  • AMAZING! how did you get all these?

  • @zdog4129 Strangely enough I bought them over the last 5 years or so.

  • @chromiumcomics Ebay im guessing?

  • @zdog4129 Among other venues like Comiclink, Heritage and other auction houses.

  • @zdog4129 All it takes is cash.

  • @CelestialWoodway Credit cards work as well.

  • i eny your collection man very nice

  • @metalrocks19737 Thanks dude, keep on ROCKING !

  • @chromiumcomics how much did you pay for these? I am thinking about starting a collection but im broke i only have 100 bucks. Thanks

  • What kind of brand are those covers.

  • @5boronyn1 The bags are Bill Cole Mylite 2s (Mylar)

  • @Chromiumcomics thanks I've already ordered 11 issues off of the web site at a good price

  • Do u have a complete run of spidey comics till up to issue 651?

  • @TheXmen14 I have Amazing Spider-man #1 to #500 and stopped after buying issue #500 as modern comics interest me less. So it's pretty likely that someday I sell every issue from about #301 through to #500

  • Hi, I have started to collect any comic books yet cause I don't know where to look to find them. I've seen most your videos and seen how many you het delivered at once so I was just wondering where to get them and how much they are? Thanks

  • @SuperAwesomeCrazyJTH If you don't have a local comic book shop, I would suggest you take a look online at houseofcomics they have a very big inventory from all ages.

  • So what webistes do you use besides eBay an amazon to purchase these comics I've been on several websites which charge to see what people are selling and am tired of that also. I have a quick question for ya. What's the cheapest you got a comic that's worth alot like a price that surprised you for that comic thanks again if ya answer my question

  • @churchchickendavid You could try houseofcomics, nice guy with a HUGE inventory. Can't really think of any instance where I got a very expensive comic for pennies...stuff like that doesn't really happen anymore. You can get lucky and sometimes find a $25 comic in a dollar bin, but people know that some comics are worth a fortune and are very careful with what they sell and do the research, and so they should.

  • @chromiumcomics Hey is Spiderman # 1 still 12 cents?

  • @CAPWEY It is in Never-neverland.

  • @chromiumcomics I was just joking.

  • @CAPWEY I know :)

  • might be a dumb question but how do you make the things that hold the sections of books the "cases" not the bags and boards but what is holding the books together

  • @SuperSayin824 Those are CGC cases, they are a company that grade your book, check for restoration and seal your comic in a case so their grade remains valid. Or did you mean the boxes ? Those are magazine-storage type boxes bought at an office supply store, the labels are made in Photoshop

  • @chromiumcomics Thanks, i meant the boxes, also amazing collection im an iron man fan myself and whats the cost of CGC / PGX and are they fair?and whats the best way to get old comics rather then ebay?

like silver-bronze,preferably MARVEL (if it makes a difference) thanks, SuperSayin824

  • where do you buy those things that cover the comics like that wrap and what are they called please reply

  • @4yushftw Mylar comic bags. Your local comic book shop should carry them.

  • They sell them in comic book stores, and there called boards.

  • check out my parody comic video and plz sub me!

  • Could you show us your batman comics? If you have any that is from what I can see your more a marvel man. If that's true I have an amazing book which I would recommend it's called te marvel vault.

  • @MyachiMach3Myachi Batman is the only DC series I collect. I'm collecting 1 to 400 and am about 3/4 there. It is going rather slow due to cost I'll need about $50000 to $75000 to get the last 80 or so issues, so it will be a few more years before I'm done.

  • @chromiumcomics yikes that's a lot of money. you know you could buy batman chronicles( graphic novel) and then you'll have all the stories. Looks like I just saved you $75000. i know how you can repay me give me ASM #1!

  • awesome collection dood

  • @bluey20000 Thanks.

  • or I guess I should say, "should I use" :P

  • Is there a special kind of tape I can use with mylar bags, acid free or something?

  • @maishiranui33 I would recommend Scotch Magic tape which won't get caught on the cover of the book, or those 3M Post-it flags that peel on and off.

  • Will you sell some of those comics of spiderman

  • @5boronyn1 Alas none of the books in this video are for sale.

  • how much has all your comics cost you

  • @TheSAMMP10 I would rather not know exactly. Takes the fun out of it somewhat.

  • An awesome collection! Where's amazing fantasy 15? I'm assuming it's in there somewhere.

  • @neckarb Thanks. I put Amazing Fantasy #15 in another video with all the other Marvel keys, it's on my youtube channel as well.

  • @chromiumcomics [Insert Jealousy] Just found it, that is some collection, I'm collecting Amazing Spiderman and Tales of Suspense/ Iron Man. My proudest member of said collection is probably my Amazing Spider-man 14. One day I will own AF15, when my bank balance adds a couple more zero's. How much did it set you back.
