It's a shame they're tearing it down, but this place is still in pretty good condiion, nontheless. I got in legally a couple years ago, and the park was in really good condition. And those freaky Looney Tune character costumes someone was talking about, yeah, I found the Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck costumes, and nearly brought both of them home. Now I am currently refurbishing the Bugs Bunny costume.

When we went it was so much fun and everything is untouched! Inside the buildings is so much fun! We even rode the rides by spinning them ourselves. Im sad there tearing it down because its so much fun. But we entered illegally by rolling under the gate. We almost took the blueprints to the park.

I hope someone does save this park and re-opens it rather than just replacing it with stinking condominiums or something of that nature. I'm guessing it wouldn't be real safe to run rides that have been sitting for 5 or so years, but its not in the worst shape it could be in compared to others.

I know this sounds crazy, but I waited too long to visit Chippewa Lake park before they demolished it, and i would love to check this one out.

It's really sad heck I use go to this park with my Dad and Big Sister. when I was still in Jr high school as well once when I was in high school. we had season pass's for at lest one year after it became a six flag's park it use to be know as Jazz Land. so many memory's I had of that place are now gone. but how in the world did you guy's get in there????

After doing a little research, I learned that the park will re-open in 2011 as Nickelodeon Universe New Orleans. The city ordered Six Flags to pay $3 million and vacate the lease. Now Southern Star Amusements and Viacom are gonna join together and build re-build it as a water/theme park.

@funspot101affects It wasn't a hit back when it opened. Six Flags hasn't repaired this park because it never was a success. The rides were always breaking down, it was always too hot, and attendance levels kept dropping every year. Six Flags was already trying to back out of it before the hurricane but they had a lease with the city and the city wasn't gonna let them back out of it.
