Let the music for EBB TDE play while you watch the images from Sweet Bird of Youth. I agree; Christina Aguilera is completely wrong for these images. The use of the song in the scene where Newman is so excited to tell Shirley Knight that he's got the contract and they can leave was a stroke of genius. It is an emotionally powerful scene because of the music of EBB TIDE.

The song was so absolutely perfect for the scenes u chose! This is one of my favorite movies. It is also, I think, such a tragic/beautiful love stories. Those eyes of Newman's could melt steel. I was so sad when he passed. That era of actor is practically gone. Geraldine Page was a goddess! She rules! One of the best Tennesse Williams plays EVER!

He is the one actor besides Marlon Brando who's movies I have ssn almost all of. He has the best body of work of any actir I can thinkof from the stage to movies! A true icon and craftsman!!!

I saw this film for the first time last night as part of an english project,studied tennessee williams extensively last year but never this play,love it! Paul newman is ecxellent as any of Williams' leading men and he starred as nearly all of them at one point in his life either on broadway or in a film! Even if these were terrible it still wouldnt be hard to watch him, such an enigmatic actor, and the looks dont hurt either!(Have to love a man with such beautiful coloured piercing eyes :)
