i am going to use your skin regimen. we seem like we've had very similar skin care journeys. my problem is nasty breakouts and black acne spots. proactiv didnt help. lately ive been using black soap(not amb, an african brand and raw ) /cetaphil for washing. witch hazel for toner. and ambi fade cream /vita k after. between day and night i alternate with moisturizers. i. going to find that mud masque since i need a masque for deep cleaning
proactive / many products it breaks u out cuz it works form the inside out it brings out all th bacteria / impurites from the ingrown proplem.the topical products do absorb into your skinn it doestn just lay on top the zits that u may already have are already brought out from the inside and are healing this why u have surface bumps.

I learned that the toner from Proactiv breaks me out as well. I really like clean and clear continuous control acne cleaner; which has benzoyl . The reason your face breaks out when you start a new regimen is because that product is supposed to go DEEP and clear everything from the bottom and clear it out. The "quick fixes" don't fix the problem they repress the inflammation for the moment. The bacteria is still there.
Panoxyl is a good brand. My dermatologist prescribed me some acne medication that had the same ingredients in Panoxyl and Oxy 10. So now I just buy Panoxyl becuz it has the same EXACT ingredients.
I tried AcneFree Skin Care products...I had to purchase the one for Serious skin because mine is crazy. Good thing about this one is your skin doesn't breakout because something in the lotion suppose to keep working for 24 hours. It does have Benzol but my skin is serious and sensitive and it worked. It says you will notice it the next day, I noticed it the next week plus I used Queen Helene facial scrub twice a week and it worked even better/

i used proactiv since the end of 8th grade and now im a freshman in college. i had really bad acne so if it did get worse in the process of making me better i didnt realize it. my biggest complaint wit proactiv is now i think im stuck on it probably for forever. i stopped using it after my skin cleared and all my acne came back within the month and i was back to square 1. then i cleared up again and went from extra strength to regular strength and it fucked me up again. i want out but idk how
From my experience i've noticed that the reason people break out first, because it is bringing all of the bacteria to the surface. When i used aveeno positively clear, i didn't break out anymore. Just make sure to exercise and drinnk water, it'll help along with the cleaner of your choice. Aveeno and zapzyt works best for me. And for blemishes juice beauty works

I've been using the ambi complexion bar in the morning & the neutrogena clear pore mask/cleanser at night since I was in high school when I started getting acne, I haven't had a problem with acne since. All I added at night was witch hazel after I get out the shower and my moisture/fade cream next. Works wonders for my skin. So I agree with you on those products. Just stick with them trust me u will continue to see the difference.

I had Adult acne, and right after I started using the Acne Facial Cleanser & the Drying lotion. That was it! I only get like 2 to 3 pimples around that time of the month, and the cool thing is that I barely use the products now. But It worked like magic for me. GOod luck!
Jhenelle...tazorac is the way to go FOR REAL. I got some from my dermatologist and I almost never get returning pimples. I struggled with pimples that occur every other day and the scars seemed to last a life time. The scars I have now are barely visible.
Also, any pimples that might occur are gone in 2 days max once I rub the cream on it with no scarring.
Oh, and don't forget to change your pillowcases every few days and drink PLENTY of water, get some sun/fresh air, and don't stress about ur face, it'll only make it worse! If u have moderate or severe acne, I recommend accutane for a 6 month period, I went on it and it changed my life :)

Pro Activ gave me horrible cystic acne. Hated it. I had the same experience as you with Zapzyt. It started clearing up my skin right away, but it dried it out to much for me to keep using it.
The doctor told my daughter she would break out 1st and then get better with the Retin-A and it did. She said it would pull the acne to the surface that she was going to get any and then work. I use Proactiv when I can afford it and it works in 2 days for me with no extra breakouts but when I don't use it, I break out bad, like now.

Everyone's skin is different, so you have to find what works for you. Sometimes it's trial and error. My sister used proactiv and her skin accepted it well. Whereas, my other sister uses noxzema and her skin accepts that. I use Topiclear for $2.49 . It works very well for me as it takes away bumps here and there and clears up blemishes. I've never been told that my face would get worse before getting better. I wouldn't believe that either.

The reason your face breaks out when you start a new regimen is because that product is supposed to go DEEP and clear everything from the bottom and clear it out. The "quick fixes" don't fix the problem they repress the inflammation for the moment. The bacteria is still there.

Panoxyl is a good brand. My dermatologist prescribed me some acne medication that had the same ingredients in Panoxyl and Oxy 10. So now I just buy Panoxyl becuz it has the same EXACT ingredients.

I tried AcneFree Skin Care products...I had to purchase the one for Serious skin because mine is crazy. Good thing about this one is your skin doesn't breakout because something in the lotion suppose to keep working for 24 hours. It does have Benzol but my skin is serious and sensitive and it worked. It says you will notice it the next day, I noticed it the next week plus I used Queen Helene facial scrub twice a week and it worked even better/

i used proactiv since the end of 8th grade and now im a freshman in college. i had really bad acne so if it did get worse in the process of making me better i didnt realize it. my biggest complaint wit proactiv is now i think im stuck on it probably for forever. i stopped using it after my skin cleared and all my acne came back within the month and i was back to square 1. then i cleared up again and went from extra strength to regular strength and it fucked me up again. i want out but idk how

From my experience i've noticed that the reason people break out first, because it is bringing all of the bacteria to the surface. When i used aveeno positively clear, i didn't break out anymore. Just make sure to exercise and drinnk water, it'll help along with the cleaner of your choice. Aveeno and zapzyt works best for me. And for blemishes juice beauty works

i agree with you... when my lil sis was breaking out like a pepperoni pizza, her dr. prescribed her a cream and he said that she'll break out EVEN MORE before her skin gets better.. yes she broke out, and continued to break out, and the acne never stopped. I made her stop using that crap the moment i could get my hands on it. there are good skin care regimens that do not necessarily make u break out b4 u get better... it's bs.. i'd rather put my money on biore warming wash.. its the best

I've been using the ambi complexion bar in the morning & the neutrogena clear pore mask/cleanser at night since I was in high school when I started getting acne, I haven't had a problem with acne since. All I added at night was witch hazel after I get out the shower and my moisture/fade cream next. Works wonders for my skin. So I agree with you on those products. Just stick with them trust me u will continue to see the difference.

I used proactiv for so long, and sometimes it would works and sometimes it wouldn't. It also gave me horrible acne scars.
The Zapzyt acne pack is THE BUSINESS. I've been using it and now my skin is clear and my scars are disappearing. It is drying, but I just got a good moisturizer.

when i started to the neutrogena healthy skin rejuvenator, my skin just started breaking out with these HUMONGOUS pimples. but after a few weeks my skin was so smooth and had a glow to it and no more zits.

i got the zap zit from my local rite aid at your suggestion months ago & it didnt break me out at all...it cleared my acne and i didnt have any breakouts...but when i stopped using it, sure enough i broke out a little, not nearly like a normal breakout, so i know it works and there was no "breakout" phase i was subject to...proactive is too harsh for certain skin types...i used proactive for months w/o result! i want 2 try the dudu osun soap but im still researching!! maybe this helps a reader!

Jhenelle I used to say the same thing....."breakout before it gets better". However, my dermatologist said the same thing. She said its because alot of the bacteria is deep within the skin. When we start using a product, it brings those "potential zits" to the surface. And thats why we breakout first. Does that make sense to you?.....Glad to see you girl. Love ya!

I had Adult acne, and right after I started using the Acne Facial Cleanser & the Drying lotion. That was it! I only get like 2 to 3 pimples around that time of the month, and the cool thing is that I barely use the products now. But It worked like magic for me. GOod luck!

Jhenelle...tazorac is the way to go FOR REAL. I got some from my dermatologist and I almost never get returning pimples. I struggled with pimples that occur every other day and the scars seemed to last a life time. The scars I have now are barely visible.
Also, any pimples that might occur are gone in 2 days max once I rub the cream on it with no scarring.

Oh, and don't forget to change your pillowcases every few days and drink PLENTY of water, get some sun/fresh air, and don't stress about ur face, it'll only make it worse! If u have moderate or severe acne, I recommend accutane for a 6 month period, I went on it and it changed my life :)
It is a serious drug so consider the possible side effects, only side effect for me was dry lips and a little back pain from the joints being so dry....good luck ppl! ;-)

Night:
Wash makeup off with olay sensitive skin foaming cleanser (oil&soap free)
Wash face with olay blemish control lathering cleanser with warm water
Repeat with same morning moisturizers
Exfoliation: 3 times a week or depending on your needs, I love neutrogena deep clean gentle scrub- my favorite all time scrub/ oil free/salicylic acid
Every time u wash ur face, finish by splashing cold water to close the pores!
Use mederma GEL for dark spots- it helps!

Morning:
1. Wash face with olay sensitive skin foaming cleanser (also acts as a GREAT makeup remover that doesn't sting the eyes/oil &soap free) 2. Apply clean & clean dual action moisturizer (has salicylic acid in it, but it doesn't dry out the face) 3. Ponds cold cream for areas that need extra moisture (this has mineral oil, but it doesn't cause me to break out)

the black opal and lemongrass soap works for me...I went out and bought it when i saw you use it,i just alternate i use balck opal and then i use the lemongrass the next day.Bc they were drying my face but it works and ambi even clear mositurizer are really good....and cetaphil ...but thanks 2 you I have found a skin care regimen that works.

Hey girl! Three things that really work for me:
1. Sleep on a towel or cotton t-shirt.
2. Slice lemons and rub on your face three times a day...(It dries up the pumps in two days)
3.Aveeno Facial Toner Cleanser... Try it and let me know...
I found that I was allergic to dust mites...caused very bad breakouts...

Try using zapzyt on alternate days and use your moisterizer right after you use the zapzpt. I love zapzpt and Clean and Clear on alternate days. Try a gentle Buff Puff to remove the dead skin bi monthly.

The doctor told my daughter she would break out 1st and then get better with the Retin-A and it did. She said it would pull the acne to the surface that she was going to get any and then work. I use Proactiv when I can afford it and it works in 2 days for me with no extra breakouts but when I don't use it, I break out bad, like now.

Everyone's skin is different, so you have to find what works for you. Sometimes it's trial and error. My sister used proactiv and her skin accepted it well. Whereas, my other sister uses noxzema and her skin accepts that. I use Topiclear for $2.49 . It works very well for me as it takes away bumps here and there and clears up blemishes. I've never been told that my face would get worse before getting better. I wouldn't believe that either.
