  • seems to me that Theo's model has better movility. The number of joitns per leg seems to be the reason to this. I am really not calling any of these superior to each other but Theos model seems to work better, but Kenn's is more simple

  • I love how the theo jansen mech will rear up (like a horse) whenever it runs into something...

  • Sweet vid, what software did you use? check out my spider!

  • check out my spider, its a combo of both.

  • Jansen has advantage because it lifts legs higher

  • @WoWhacker64 I think Klann's version lifts legs higher...

  • @Thomastancheekun your correct, i re-annualized the vid. However, Jansen's lifts the leg more safely.

  • @WoWhacker64 and it is awesomer

  • Is it possible to geht the phun-file?

  • Its so hard to make those in phun, i've been triyng all day and i can't get it right, it walks and everything but its not completely simetrical

  • Jansen's one looks smoother,...

  • I Agree

  • me too

  • I agree totally, but can't help but notice the number of friction points of Jansen's model compared to Klann's. From a design and aesthetic standpoint, Jansen wins. Hands-down. I could watch that thing perambulate all day. But if I were in, say, a war situation, and I had to decide which design to mass produce in order to save the Motherland, I'm choosing less moving parts. Every time, no apologies, check the scoreboard.

But when things get less warlike, Klann's going back in the hangar.

  • I see no direction changing test
