Not to get technical or anything but "camping" is what snipers do. I've never heard of guys runnin round with 50. cal rifles shootin guys a few feet away. Usually vast distances from their targets.

They're Recon, not snipers. They are supposed to lock down a strategic position of advantage, use motion sensors, tag enemies, and take out enemies who are posing a threat to teammates. They are no supposed to be half a mile away from the map whoring for points.

@chunkyfucker3 Well, the class is clearly called Recon, isn't it? At want point does your weapon selection say "Sniper Rifle" and not M24 or T88. A sniper does not directly engage in a battle, they will wait hours or even days to take out a High Value Target, like a General or political figure.

However the guns you've mentioned, M24 and T88, to name but a few, are designed as long range rifles, they're not suited to fighting directly on the battlefield, bolt action etc... In my book that class is a sniper.

This is actually a hilarious tactic. I used it on the snowy map on a game of Rush. Some level 44 douchebag kept camping in a fucking bush as the Assault class so, after he got me again as I tried to flank him, I thought of this video for some reason. So, yeah, here I am, I can't see him from where I am so press the Select button on my PS3 to spot him. Do so and waste a mortar strike on one person who I see go flying out the trees.
