  • It was super funny.

  • I watched both episodes back-to-back. It's pretty easy to make me laugh. I dodn't chuckle, smile, laugh, cackle. NO ENJOYMENT.

  • This is a worthless piece of crap! Stop making shows like this, please!

  • I can't believe they canceled this show , Finally a comedy that was funny and enjoyable to watch, there's shows 100% worse that this on TV, swearing, violence, nudity and such and they keep that crap on TV over this comedy, come on people this show has nothing wrong with it, those out there with insecurities about themselves are the ones with the problems with the show...

  • @marykaymac64

I totally agree. This show was so hilarious and I'm completely pissed off that they canceled it!!! They could have at least aired the rest of the episodes they made!!!

  • this show was great. why was it cancel, can't they finish the season first then cancel it. wish they air more episode. hope they keep airing the show

  • It looks like Sucre actually went /downhill/ after Fox River.

  • They already made movies over the years where guys dressed up as ladies for a reason. For example: Mrs Doubtfire, The Hot Chick, White Chicks, and don't forget Big Momma with Martin Lawrence. I bet those movies were funny and did great. What was the problem with making this a tv series. Grow up and act like adults. I think this is discrimmination. These guys were not gay and thats what everyone was thinking. It was a funny show and it ended after 2 episodes because of people with sick minds.

  • When Bosom Buddies aired in the 80's it was canceled after two seasons (low ratings) it was understandable because back in the day certain things were not accepted. NOW everyone is OUT and everything is IN. Therefore, two men dressing up as women in this present time with no intent to defame certain individuals or organizations is harmless. If this sitcom was a reality show would it have been embraced? Probably! What's more offensive and disgusting is when derogatory remarks are posted.

  • I can't believe this show was cancelled. I had hoped it would run forever. My life is in ruins. I suppose I will now attempt to pick up the pieces of my shattered life, if I don't kill myself by morning. Is there a God?

  • Sounds like a bad SNL sketch

  • And a another thing, this IS NOT coping BOSOM BUBBIES. In "Bosom Buddies" they had to dress like a woman to have a place to live, this show they dressed to WORK. if this is coping then STOP going to the movies to see a COPY of every movie thats already been made.

  • This show was not making fun of women and transgendered women. Damn it was a SITCOM. Are we not allowed to have sitcoms anymore? I would rather LAUGH then hear someone bitch at someone for switching a husband or some crap like that. Hell we can't laugh anymore. Thank you all for killing a COMEDY SHOW. BREAK OUT THE DVD'S EVERYONE REALITY TV SEEMS TO BE FUNNIER THAN A COMEDY SITCOM.

  • @mdna32 - Yea i agree. What the hell is wrong with people taking offense to this. How is it offensive in any way. Its just sitcom for christs sake. a couple dudes dress up as women to get jobs & crack some jokes, how in the hell is that so bad. I thought it was funny. This was in no way disrespecting women, men, gays, or trannies. I guess its not OK to laugh anymore. Im offended by people being offended by this. Maybe they themselves need to be shutdown for not having a funny bone.

  • one word:

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    (because it's canceled)

  • After airing 2 episodes and LOTS of bad criticism, ABC has yanked this off the air! TWO episodes! That is almost a record, second behind Rosie's FIRST episode cancellation of her "variety show. The guys looked ridiculous in this, and this is a rip-off of Bosom Buddies.

  • Gives me hope that I too can throw a dictionary in to a fan. Grab the first five words I see and make a TV show about it.....

  • one word:

    tasteless.

  • Isn't this copying bosom buddies?

  • This show hasn't aired in the UK but I did heard it caused a lot of complaints. Is it because the subject transvestites is a bit more sensitive at the moment or is it because it is just a really bad show? Because I remember the TV show that Tom Hanks was in: Bosom Buddies. He played a man dressed as a woman along with his male friend so that they could live in this apartment that they liked and it was quite a popular show.

  • Terrible show...tacky stupid...dumb,...etc....

  • it's not even that it's offensive to transgendered people...which it is. it's just that every bit on the show has been done in every "man dressed like a woman" movie and show ever, all the way back to "some like it hot". oh no, one of the guys is attracted to one of the women; oh no, men can't walk like women; oh no, pantyhose are crazy. it's just confusing how ABC put something not remotely modern next to great shows with great characters like "modern family" and "happy endings".

  • They cancelled stuff like Ugly Betty and V for crap like this?! Im soooooo done with ABC.

  • Every person involved with this piece of shit show should be executed.

  • Damn I heard it was cancelled, was it that bad??? And wait what do people think about big momma then?

  • I actually think it's kind of funny lol

because its so bad, it would be fun to watch

  • This era officially sucks!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Cancelled after just 2 episodes GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE This show was awful and an insult to to not only transgendered people but men as well (hey can't get a job! become a woman!) Fuck off this show makes a mockery of the struggle that men are going through to get jobs.

  • They actually had the nerve to air a second episode.

  • wow....you people are so fucking sensitive, well you guys can shut the hell up about it being soooo offensive to men or women or gay men or whatever, they canceled it, everybody goes home happy.

  • Naff off !

  • Why would Sucre from Prison Break agree to be on such a shitty looking show!!!

  • Thank god this show was cancelled!

  • Did no one notice the negative stereotyping of men in this trailer? Any body? Or are only women and trannies allowed to be offended?

  • @GrimmRebellion trannies is an offensive term, fyi

  • @annethereshewent I was making a point, fyi

  • Relaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax!! If you've seen the show.. Just the first episode - you would all love it! It is so funny seriously..

  • @Stikafknaegt I hope you're joking. if you like this show then I have lost my faith in humanity.

  • @raiderazz I love this show.

  • Just what 2012 was screaming for: an unfunny update on Bosom Buddies. A sure-fire shitfest: I'll set the over/under at 5 episodes before it's yanked.

  • A lot of ppl think it's offensive....and yet I'm a girl and yet I don't feel mad abt this show, and it seems funny and I'm gonna give this show a chance

  • I am absolutely disgusted by this concept and I PRAY that the show is swiftly canceled. What were you THINKING?

  • This isn't funny. This isn't witty. It's just silly and offensive.

  • This is so amazingly offensive. Men are impersonating people from the trans community in order to further themselves.. If you're going to make a show involving trans people.. at least ACTUALLY make it about trans people. Not people PRETENDING to be trans. Ugh.

  • Comment removed

  • the description says that Work It is "a high-concept comedy", nothing about this show is "high" except for maybe the people who green lit it.

  • this makes me want to kill myself

  • ABC really needs to be shut down. All of their shows are shitstorms, and it's now come to the point where it's promoting negative stereotypes of women and anti-trans humor. This is just disgusting.

  • I hope this stupid show never runs this is disgusting, offensive, and humiliating to both cisgendered women and transgendered women. And using a RuPaul song? The fuck who can you dare use it seeing this show is so offensive to who she is? FUCK YOU ABC.

  • @TheTrueSadielo My thoughts exactly!

  • @TheTrueSadielo I like your passion!!!

  • This looks stupid. And um...Ru Paul? I wonder how he feels about his song being on the show...even if it's just the commercial.

  • Offensive to women, offensive to the trans community, and not really funny at all... wow, this is just a bad idea all around. More negative stereotypes being promoted? Really?

  • They are promoting hatred. This can never be a laughing matter to me . and the show itself is god awful. That Amaurie dude is pathetic

  • Drag acts: Only the British can do it right.

  • Not only is it offensive to women, it's offensive to the trans* community!

  • Plus I have a feeling people are jealous they never thought of the idea for this sitcom first which in turn rakes in the moolah! Hence the negativity!

  • Yo Viewers it's time to separate fiction from reality...this is a comedy so up yours naysayers!! So often people forget that this is entertainment so don't judge! This is the biggest sin of humankind!

  • Are we sure this isn't a Funny Or Die video? This cannot be real.. Although.. That's what I thought 'Jack & Jill' was as wel.

  • Thank you mrtecnologyenforcer for posting the summary and trailer of this show.

After reading the storyline and viewing the trailer, I'll say that ABC has a massive trainwreck on their hands. It might've been fun for the actors and producers to make this show, but an overly complicated sit-com and crossdressing actors who don't really pass as women will doom this show.

  • @author no problem more videos coming this year 2012 !! This show looks amazing, it has comedy let see how abc sell it

  • @author

There are some truth in what you say. To do comic, especially for a sitcom as it is a long exposure for characters, you make people laugh but they have to buy the story and feel for hem first.

This might have worked in an 1h30 vaudeville a la " white chicks" but that's it.

    Shame though.

  • even though I think this show will be cancelled in 2012...i'll give it a shot

  • How many times are they going to try to "milk" the Tootsie concept before they realize that no one finds that funny anymore.

  • i was actually in pain watching this

  • I think this show looks hilarious. You all just have giant sticks up your asses.

  • @alexaveg89

I don't have a stick up my ass, I'm just against transphobia and negative stereotypes against women, thank you very much.

  • omg. people are way too sensitive.

  • Sad to see Amaury Nolasco involved in these kind of projects (If you can call it that way)

  • This actually looks funny. It's a sitcom, which is made for comedy, and no one can deny stereotypes happen to make people laugh. It in no way makes fun of the transgendered community! If anything it would be drag queens or transvestites.

  • @SebastienCade

It also doesn't "make fun" of them, I'm just showing the idiocy of people. Transgendered women are NOT drag queens or men who dress as women, they're women. Fucking stupid.

  • I'm so glad I don't waste time watching television any longer. Just awful...

  • How is this show any different in terms of its 'offending nature' when compared with Peter Sellers pretending to be a French detective, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot or even Barbra Streistand in Yent? It's not. These guys are not drag queens, transgender or anything other than straight men dressed in women's clothing and attempting to fool people. If it were women dressed as men doing the same, it would be applauded for being 'original' and empowering women. What a crock.

  • Whoah. So many ultra-sensitive people on here. The show is rubbish in terms of its quality, but the idea is not remotely transphobic or mysogynistic. It's an age-old plot about stupid men trying to fool others in order to be successful. Actually, it may be insulting to men by portraying them as stupid, no? But of course, because it's men, then that's fine. Only women and the LGBT community can be offended, obviously! Do you not see how hypocritical you are being? And I say this as a gay man!

  • seriously who sat down at a tv executive meeting and pitched this as a good idea? and who approved it? did everyone in the building smoke peyote first?!

  • this is a slap in the face to both women and transgender people out there

  • Comment removed

  • this is so idiotic i'm offended that it exists.

  • Why is everyone so cranky about this? It is BOSOM BUDDIES for 2012. Who cares. Get over it. If the actors and good and the writing is good, then we'll see if it can keep an audience. Don't look at 30 seconds of this and get so morally offended. It's a tv show. Deal with it

  • @pieintheeye I agree, this is no more offensive than "To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" or "White Chicks".

  • @MD2389 - You also forgot "Connie & Carla," about two women who escape after witnessing a murder and go "in-hiding" as drag queens and sing show tunes.

  • so men really are frightened by women getting jobs in high positions...

  • Oh God, why?! Forget how offensive this show is to women, this show should be offensive to everybody because it looks AWFUL.

  • @LittleVegas Not trying to be rude but this is simply comedy its supposed to be taken with a grain of salt.

  • I don't really see how this is making fun of transgendered people. I mean, it's a couple of guys desperate for jobs, so they dress as women. When does it talk about being transgendered? They're not transwomen, they might not even be classified as transvestites. Seriously, I think people are getting their panties in a knot because of a show about desperate guys. Feel free to (kindly) explain why this is so offensive?

  • @Zetsu101019

First off the show is misogynistic. It's insulting to women. It's crude, and moronic. It presents the idea trans is a choice. It's not a choice, it's the way you are and the way you were born.

  • @wanda247

It does NOT promote the fucking idea being trans is a choice. Transgendered people believe they are the in the wrong body, these are men who are dressing as women. No, it does not imply anything of the sort. I'm a gay male and it's almost sad how people take every little thing as if it's against the LGBT community. I agree it's a tad stereotypical of women, but what sitcom doesn't play on stereotypes? My goodness.

  • Over/Under on episodes aired: 1.5

  • @Neil263 Under.

  • DISGUSTING there is not a single thing funny about this. But then again I'm sure mindless consumerist America will eat it up.

  • Stupid! I hope this "show" is canned after one week.

  • Fuck you, ABC. This is so transphobic and misogynistic, it's almost frightening.

  • Comment removed

  • ...this is INCREDIBLY offensive in many, many ways.

  • Wow, this is a disgusting piece of sexist shit. It's the 21st century, cross-dressing "comedies" should no longer exist since they're pretty much degrading half of the world's population. Way to go, ABC. I promise never to watch you again.

  • NOT BUYING IT. Do we really need another show that promotes negative stereotypes about women? No.

  • @fatmusiclover What shows are you talking about? Every show out there has men being idiots. Unless you mean shows that have pretty women it it and you're the type who freaks out about it?

  • @clevelandphil Please explain this 'type' you're talking about? Because it sounds like you're going to come up with an ignorant and rude stereotype. And I do mean the majority of shows, yes. But while these men are just 'being idiots' they're re-enforcing heteronormativity and constructed gender roles. This in and of itself re-enforces patriarchy and discrimination, not just to women but to men as well.

  • @fatmusiclover You're too sensitive for tv. Read instead.

  • @clevelandphil More like too intelligent.

  • @fatmusiclover

No, you're too sensitive. It's almost ridiculous how much of an opinion you formed from a 30 second clip. It's also not re-enforcing heteronormativity or gender roles. What straight men would be willing to push the boundary of gender to get a job? The guys are open to dressing in womens clothing and don't look down on it. Again, you're too sensitive. Yes, it stereotypes women, but what show DOESN'T? Really.

  • @SebastienCade It's almost ridiculous how ignorant you are. It IS re-eforcing heteronormativity and gender roles because what it is REALLY saying is that when men dress up as women, it's funny. Despite the fact that some men feel comfortable and natural dressing up as women, and visa versa for some women. This is encouraging the mockery of transgendered people and women. There are good shows that don't stereotype women and those are the kinds of shows that we should be encouraging, not this crap

  • @fatmusiclover

I'm aware there are good shows that don't stereotype women, but I'd love to hear of a sitcom that doesn't. Also, you're really grasping at straws trying to try and compare this and the mockery of transgendered people. THEY ARE NOT TRANSGENDERED in this fucking show! It has nothing to do with it, whatsoever. I wont debate you on the fact it stereotypes women, which isn't a good thing but it's rather normal in our media. Just flip the channel, you're ridiculous.

  • @fatmusiclover

Also, yes, it does reinforce the concept of gender roles. I am against them as much as anyone, but it's going to be a long while before it becomes a mainstream view of people. The only thing I really have an issue with you saying is this will affect the view of transgendered women. It wont.

  • @SebastienCade ALSO just because a lot of shows stereotype women that doesn't mean it's okay. Just because a lot of people used to own slaves that doesn't make racism and slavery okay, either.

  • WTF? Next from ABC-- good old-fashioned minstrel shows...
