This is the Original Off-Broadway Cast. Some changes were made going to Broadway. There is a new Kevin and some understudies were used during this performance. Hopefully I will have a new performance to put up for you today from today's Broadway In Bryant Park! :-D

oh my gosh. i luved in the heights. i saw it in like mid-april. i go to hunter which is the school that lin went to for high school so the pta was giving out tickets for like 70 bucks. it was soooo good. if you haven't seen it you really should!!! i can't want until they do a production of this at my school!!!

ahhh! i'm so excited for this musical. frankly, i watched the tony's this year, not knowing much, cuz i didn't really keep up this year at all. all i knew was Xanadu (which i wasn't too much a fan of) but after seeing their performance, i was rooting for them. it's soo cool! passing strange seemed interesting too. the layout of the stage w/ the band onstage reminded me of spring awakening too. ahh, Go Lin-Manuel Miranda! i'm going to NYC next spring, so i hope i can get tickets to see this!!!

I've seen Xanadu and heard a few of the songs for Passing Strange, but I don't know. I've never been able to get into Xanadu, and from what I've heard, Passing Strange is very good, but In the Heights just has a place in my heart that the others don't, haha.

I'm thoroughly rooting for it.

God, this (lyrically) reminds a lot of RENT. If this doesnt take home Best Original Score, Best Book, and Best Musical I'm going to be REALLY surprised.

Yeah alot of critics said that and i argree cuz its not a traditional muiscal and it has a new form of music. RENT has a rock beat and this has a rap/ salsa beat. In the heights speaks to this generation as RENT spoke to the generation of the 90s (And still today RENT will never be old) Best Guess this will win the tony for best muiscal. If its nominated for it. i think its competing with Legally Bloude and Young Frankinstein. i saw both and they where amazing so its got some tough competitions.

tony nominations have been up for quite a bit. in the heights has 13. as for legally blonde, it comes nowhere near to in the heights. it was a good show in my opinion, but it would never beat in the heights out for anything. i haven't seen young frankenstein, so i really can't say anything.

young frankenstein didn't get nominated for best musical. legally blonde would have been eligible last year, and it didn't get nominated last year (spring awakening won last year--which was AMAZING--legally blonde was nothing compared to it). in the heights is up against xanadu, passing strange and cry baby (i don't know how cry baby got nominated--not good...). i'm rooting for xanadu, but i would bet on in the heights.
