great! but I would like to hear the version with the original instruments and not only the midi version! and could you put the scores in a link for downloand? that would be great and I could get some friends and play your music! thanx!
This is really good :) I was just wondering if you could make a score of this that i could access - I would love to try to play this with some of my friends :) thanks and well done :)
@willhandysides Thanks. Ravel is one of my favourite composers indeed, although that particular passage I feel is more Nobuo-Uematsu-inspired than anything else. :)
@zeryx28 Do you know the music of Norman Dello Joio? You're piano writing is quite similar to his, especially in the Trumpet Sonata. I'm not familiar with Nobuo-Uematsu, but I'll have a look. The reason I said Ravel was because of the way the clarinet line so beautifully merges with the flute line, as in the 2nd movement of the Piano Concerto.
Thanks. :) Yes, In fact, I have written a sonata for piano quartet, which calls for a clarinetist, a violinist, a cellist, and a pianist. Check out "Sonata for Clarinet, Violin, Cello, and Piano—Op. 33" on my channel if you are interested.
For this score, I used Encore. (I'm surprised that you have even heard of this software, as none of my friends have.) Currently, I use Sibelius. It is pretty awesome. :)
Yes, we did have one reading session. They could not find a pianist, so I was invited to join the reading session ensemble. However, the I was working on this the night before up until the morning of the reading session, so I didn't get any sleep and any time to practice it, so the result wasn't as good as I had hoped.
A fine piece - I especially like your use of the piano, with your very effective changes in texture. Just curious: Did you decide to use the Albeniz theme off your own bat, or was such an approach ordained by the course?
Thanks. I'm not sure if I had Albeniz in mind as I was composing this piece however, so perhaps it was a coincidence. Could you describe this Albeniz theme you speak of?
I always impressed with your work, Vinncent-san.
This song similar with nobuo-san's piece, maybe you're influenced with his job (because of Final fantasy)
But, really, I do love piano and clarinet... Do you have another piece?? :D

I must say this is very impressive. I can definetely hear an influence of final fantasy VIII music. Would I be correct in assuming this?

FF7 quotes? Overall feel is very very Uematsu-ish; was that on purpose?

Fabulous! Did you ever have this played by accoustic instruments? I believe the "human touch" would give this beautiful work an additional dimension.

It's the opening theme of Albeniz's piano piece 'Granada' - there are performances on YT on both piano and guitar.
Look forward to hearing more of your work.

Ahh ... I believe I have subconsciously quoted Albeniz. I didn't realize it until now. Thanks for pointing it out. :)
