Its damn near impossible to find old skool hiphop videos from the West... Everybody was so busy Poppin & Lockin they forgot to pick up a camera?...Wtf
u know its funny alot cats think that the elctro stuff iis breakin music but in reality it wasnt old school funk music and breaks were what b boys and poppers and lockers got down to the electro stuff was just the commercial shyt that was popular at the time. When u ask the all the heads frm back then who still do it today they will even tell u that the electro stuff was whack it was just what was hot at the time but its really about the funk. Even in the scene today the dance to funk electro NO
hey buena musica la rola apartir del 1:20 al 1:56 se llama 2The Radio Crew - The Glove Meets The Egyptian Lover" y la de a partir 2:34 al 2:4 se llama "The Radio Crew - Breaking And Entering"
never have seen this original version, i own a german one...it's the coolest hiphop-film EVER...not to say new yorks hiphophistory-film is not cool (it's brilliant and a real gem!), but this one has something even more fantastic about it...also it's music is way out there...my absolute favourite of all time! it was so hard to find back in the days, it has something of a legendary, like the holy grail of electro!
I remembered how nice and sincere Turbo seemed. I expected him to be this arrogant little punk, but he appeared like such a nice kid and eager to explain his mastery of dance.
God, this brings back memories. This soundtrack I made for myself was literally me holding the tape recorder next to the tv when this was shown on HBO back in '83 or '84. lol
Damn, I just typed this title in for shites 'n giggles not thinking that YouTube would have something THIS obscure! :o YouTube is legendary! Thank you BoomBapArchive! This brings back so many memories.
I still have my original vhs tape too. I recorded this off of KCET, PBS in Los Angeles. My copy is much clearer. Great post, thank you!
